Inside Meghan Markle's bridal shower
Before she participated in an International Women's Day event this week, Meghan Markle indulged in a different kind of girl power. From Sunday, March 4 through Tuesday, March 6, Prince Harry's bride-to-be got together with some of her closest female friends for a spa-themed bridal shower at Soho Farmhouse, which is operated by the group behind Soho House. Located in the Oxfordshire countryside, the luxurious, five-star getaway spot — a favorite of Meghan and Harry — boasts amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, cottages, a "barn cinema," tennis courts, horseback riding options and a spa where the group of girls enjoyed some "pampering," according to an E! News source (via Elle). The friends who joined Meghan for the trip were mostly from her London circle; E! and Us reported the group included Lindsay Jill Roth, Heather Dorak and Misha Nonoo. Meghan's expected to have a "low-key," "co-ed" party outside of London in the near future in lieu of a traditional bachelorette bash.

Lisa Bonet: Bill Cosby had a 'sinister' energy
With Bill Cosby's retrial for the alleged sexual assault of Andrea Constandt just around the corner, his former "The Cosby Show" co-star, Lisa Bonet, is speaking out about the discomfort she felt with regard to her on-screen dad back in the '80s. "There was no knowledge on my part about his specific actions, but … there was just energy. And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed," she says in a new cover story for Net-a-Porter's The Edit (via JustJared). Now 50, Lisa also says she would not have kept information about the comic's dozens of sexual assault and rape allegations to herself, had she ever been privy to something beyond her feeling about his dark energy. "If I had anything more to reveal then it would have happened a long time ago. That's my nature. The truth will set you free," she says. "I don't need to say 'I told you so' [about him]. I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be." Jury selection for Cosby's retrial is set to begin March 29 in Pennsylvania. The trial initially began last summer but was ruled a mistrial.
Taylor Swift steps out with boyfriend Joe Alwyn after months of laying low
Looks like Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are still committed to keeping their romance under wraps. Three months after the low-key couple were spotted together in public, they stepped out for a hike in the Malibu Hills section of Los Angeles on Wednesday, March 7. The New York Post reports the two held hands during their 90-minute outing. When they weren't taking in views of the ocean, Taylor and her British actor beau "seemed very intimate and deep in conversation — despite having her bodyguard trailing 20 feet behind them," according to a source, who added that their physical resemblance is so similar, it's eery. After rumors began circulating about their relationship last spring, the couple were finally seen together in early June.
Hugh Grant welcomes baby No. 5
Congrats are in order for Hugh Grant and Swedish TV producer Anna Eberstein — and we have Hugh's ex, Elizabeth Hurley, to thank for the stork update. Speaking to E! News this week, Elizabeth — who's remained close with Hugh, 57, for decades — said, "I'm very lucky that 31 years into our friendship, he's still my best friend in the world," and gushed about their friendship before noting that "he's now a father of five" and "a great dad." A few days later on "Watch What Happens Live," Elizabeth said the baby arrived "last week." She went on to joke about the father of five's age, quipping that he "was over 50 when he spawned them all." The new baby is the third child for Hugh and Anna. Hugh also has two children with Tinglan Hong. "He's an enchanting dad — really, really sweet," Elizabeth said on "WWHL." "Having these kids has transformed him from a very miserable person into a fairly miserable person. It's improved him. He's gone up the scale."
Mindy Kaling teases Stephen Colbert about the baby gift he sent
"A" for effort, Stephen Colbert. When new mom Mindy Kaling stoped by "The Late Show" to chat about "A Wrinkle in Time" this week, she and Stephen got sidetracked a bit discussing Mindy's 2-month-old daughter, Katherine — and the gifts Mindy received on her daughter's behalf. It seems Stephen and his wife sent Mindy a baby outfit from Stephen's hometown in Charleston, South Carolina. When he admitted it was a bit "late 19th century," Mindy sort of agreed (via E! News). "If I'm crossing the Titanic with my baby, hoping for a new future for myself, this is the outfit I put her in. There's a black-and-white photo of me and my baby, hoping for a new [life]," she joked, before doubling down and invoking the gift another TV personality sent. "It straight up sucks compared to what Oprah gave me. And I mean that with love, OK?" said Mindy, smiling. "Oprah's present to me was a hand-carved bookcase packed with 100 of the essential children's books of all literature, and each book was inscribed with a little sticker that said 'Katherine's Book Club' — like Oprah's Book Club. The bookcase was carved in the shape of an old-timey castle," she enthused. "It's such a nice present! And yours was such a nice present." Stephen wasted no time responding. "We were going to do that," he said with a grin. "I heard Oprah was going to do it, so we did this instead."
Common and Angela Rye split
It's splitsville for Common and CNN correspondent and activist Angela Rye. The pair began dating last summer and had no qualms about going public with their romance as they appeared on the red carpet together at multiple high-profile events in the months that followed. When the New York Post noticed Angela didn't join Common at the Oscars or at an arts event he hosted last week, they checked in with her about the relationship. "We have and will always be friends," she said in a statement confirming the split. "He is an amazing human being, and I'm a much better person because he's a part of my life. May we all keep loving and living."
Kyle Richards wants to be dismissed from Kim Richards' pit bull lawsuit
Kyle Richards wants nothing to do with a lawsuit filed against her sister, Kim Richards, over an alleged incident between Kim's former assistant and her pit bull, Kingsley. According to The Blast, Paige Sanderson filed a suit against the "Real Housewives" sisters in 2016 on grounds Kingsley attacked Paige when Paige visited her then-boss at home. In the suit, Paige claims she arrived at the property, became frightened of the dog and ran into the bathroom, then was told by Kim that Kingsley was not going to hurt her. When she emerged from the bathroom, Paige claims Kingsley attacked her anyway, allegedly tearing her clothes — and her flesh. Paige claims Kim insisted Paige could only call for help if she told authorities a stray dog had been responsible for the attack. When Paige filed suit, she named both Kim and Kyle as defendants because Kyle owned the home where the attack happened. The Blast reports Kyle's new filing requests she be dismissed from the suit, as she had not visited her sister at the property when the incident occurred, she did not know the dog was staying with Kim at the condo — having been told Kim gave it away — and she was not there when the alleged attack took place. Finally, Kyle notes that her own daughter was bitten by the same dog, making it less likely she'd be in a position to defend Kingsley or Kim in the case. Paige is asking for unspecified damages, according the report.

Khloe Kardashian shares hacks for looking super-slim in photos
Sometimes you don't have time to get that Khloe Kardashian-esque revenge body before a photo everyone you know's going to see. Luckily, Khloe's got your back. This week on her app, the mom-to-be shared five hacks for looking slim in photos. Among the "stealth" tips up Khloe's sleeve? "Only allow your photographer to shoot from above," she writes. "It's the only flattering angle. If they shoot from beneath, you might as well have had like ten cheat days in a row! (Frito pie anyone?)" Khloe goes on to suggest staying far away from horizontal patterns when it comes to clothing. "Wear black or vertical stripes. Avoid horizontal stripes and prints if you plan to be within a mile of a camera. They add instant bulk," she offers in the post. "Make your arms and shoulders werk," she continues. "Hands on hips. Bonus points if you angle sideways and use your camera-facing arm. Shoulders back and away from ears. Always." There you have it — and just in time for that Instagrammable weekend you have planned …
