New Year's smooch! Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban got a jumpstart on the beginning of the new decade over the weekend when they snapped a selfie in Sydney, where they tied the knot back in 2006. "Sydney- we had the BEST Christmas , and the shows were a blast !!! THANK YOU ALL.!!!!" Keith captioned the photo, which showed the couple in front of Sydney Harbor. "Next up, ringing in 2020 at our Nashville show w @stevienicks , @ashleymcbryde , @jasonisbell , @thestruts , @amandapearlshires and many many more.***," he continued. "Here come OUR roaring 20's!!!! – KU." Nicole — who by the way is married to a guy who leaves her a love letter for every single day he can't be beside her — also shared a photo of the sweet moment on her Instagram, writing simply, "Sydney love 💙."

Oops, they did it again — the "they" being social media users who seem to love mixing up Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams and "Fosse/Verdon" star Michelle Williams. The latter Michelle recently got engaged to "Hamilton" director Thomas Kail, with whom she's expecting the couple's first child. The former Michelle called off her engagement to pastor Chad Johnson in 2018. Which brings us to the post Michelle the singer shared on her Instagram Story this week. "A few comments are tricking [sic] in and of course I had to google to see what was goin on! Congrats are certainly in order but for #dawsonscreek #fosseverdon #brokebackmountain #greatestshowman #manchesterbythesea 'Michelle' Ok bye," she wrote. As EW reminds us, this has happened before. Specifically, after Michelle the actress won an Emmy for "Fosse/Verdon" and used her acceptance speech as an opportunity to speak out about the importance of equal pay for women. Michelle the singer was apparently hit with a storm of negative comments about the speech, to which she responded by asking critics if they couldn't "see that I'm black," then issued her full support for Michelle the actress' comments, posting: "I stand beside Michelle Williams on her speech. She was beautiful. She was brilliant. Honey, she played Gwen Verdon to a T. She was AWESOME. Now get it right, and stop cussing me out."

Angelina Jolie takes Zahara and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Ethiopia to meet the country's first female president

The four youngest of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's kids — Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13 and Knox and Vivienne, 11 — joined their mom on a trip this week to Ethiopia as what People called "a special treat" for Ethiopia-born Zahara, who turns 15 on Jan. 8. The centerpiece of their stay was a meeting for Angelina, Zahara and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 13, with the country's first (and current) president, Sahle-Work Zewde. According to People, the group discussed Ethiopian culture and history, education and ways to help schoolgirls continue attending class when they're menstruating since they often have to stay home because supplies are scarce. In addition, Angelina and her daughters spoke to the president about Angelina's efforts via the Jolie-Pitt Foundation to treat those infected with drug-resistant tuberculosis. Angelina also maintains humanitarian-based relationships and funding efforts in the region through the Zahara Program, named after her teenaged daughter.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan used 'time off to reset' as a family after a rough year

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have made a habit of breaking with royal tradition, but it was still somewhat of a surprise when the couple and their son Archie left England and traveled to Canada for Christmas, skipping the annual royal family celebration. Their trip to Toronto to see friends and to Vancouver with Meghan's mother capped off about a month of downtime they reportedly needed after what an Us Weekly source called a "turbulent year" in which they battled the press over its coverage of Meghan and dealt with Harry and Prince William's falling out. "They're using their time off to reset and spend quality time as a family," the insider said. "After a turbulent year, it's just what the doctor ordered."

"WOW this is obviously fake!," she posted (via Page Six). "I did not get JKF's shirt. That is a sick joke that someone tweeted as a fake ig story that I never posted." Refinery29 has since updated its story.

Carrie Underwood announces she's stepping down as host of the CMA Awards

After 12 consecutive years of hosting the CMA Awards, Carrie Underwood will step down in 2020. She announced the news on Instagram on Monday, Dec. 30 in a long post in which she called "being on stage with the legends that are Reba and Dolly Parton" one of the highlights of her career and said she was "so proud" to celebrate women in country music, "past, present and future." The singer also shouted out her "partner in crime and friend for life, Brad Paisley," with whom she's hosted the awards since 2008, and expressed her gratitude towards "everyone involved with the CMA Awards all these years." Carrie went on to write: "It's hard to imagine topping what we have accomplished together, so I've decided that it's time to pass the hosting torch (at least for now!) to others that will cherish it and honor it as much as I do. Diddy shares moving prayer ahead of his 'soul food Sunday' dinner

Diddy welcomed friends and loved ones to dinner again on Sunday, Dec. 29, for a pre-New Year's edition of his regular "soul food Sunday" gatherings. Before the group dug into their meal — which included chicken, collard greens and mac and cheese, plus tequila, Deleon, D'Usse, CIROC and VS to wash it all down, according to the Daily Mail — the hip-hop mogul gave a prayer in which he thanked God for helping his friends and family in 2019 and keeping them all safe. "I just want to thank God for waking us up this morning," he said in a clip posted to his Instagram Story. "Thank you for the air that we breathe. Thank you for the things that we take for granted." He later explained, "Every now and then we have a dinner called soul food Sunday, and we kind of just invite our friends that we feel like the collective vibe would be something that would be just different and be special, so everybody doesn't get invited." Offset sued by jeweler for $47k

Cardi B recently gave Offset a $500,000 pile of cash for his birthday — and it may come in handy sooner than expected. According to TMZ, the rapper faces a $47,000 lawsuit filed by Los Angeles jeweler Peter Marco of Extraordinary Jewels Beverly Hills. Marco claims Offset spent $110,000 at his store in October 2018but only paid $63,000 of the bill. He says he demanded payment from Offset in a letter in early December but was not paid. He now wants the remainder of Offset's alleged tab, plus interest and attorney fees. He's also listed Kevin "Coach K" Lee, the COO of Quality Control Music, Offset's label as a defendant. Lee's rep tells TMZ it's unclear how his client could possibly be involved.
