Kate Hudson and her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa, welcomed a baby girl in Los Angeles on Oct. 2. "She's here," Kate wrote on Instagram, revealing that they've named their daughter Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa. "We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor," Kate wrote. "Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back." This is Kate's third child, but the first she shares with Danny.

Married

Despite conflicting reports and a public denial from the model herself, it turns out that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin really are married after all. People magazine had been reporting for several weeks that the two had tied the knot at a New York City courthouse on Sept. 13, but other outlets argued that the couple only got a marriage license during the visit. Hailey even tweeted that she's "not married yet." Well, she is. TMZ reported on Oct. 2 that the couple of just a few months made things legal on Sept. 13 and that they had a preacher there named Jeffrey Quinn. The couple's witness was Josh Mehl, a friend of Justin's who attends Churchome in Los Angeles. In addition, TMZ noted that the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement. Justin is estimated to be worth $250 million, while Hailey is reportedly worth just a few million dollars. The husband and wife plan to have a formal religious ceremony in the future, reports indicate.

Arrested and charged

Rapper Cardi B was arrested on Oct. 1 and charged with assault and reckless endangerment in connection with a fight at a Queens strip club in August. TMZ reported that Cardi was involved in an attack on two female bartenders, one of whom Cardi believes slept with her husband, Migos rapper Offset. Both bartenders were injured in the fight. Cardi is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 29. The attorney for the two bartenders, Joe Tacopina, said, "She continues to threaten them and clearly thinks her celebrity status is going to get her out of this. But it doesn't matter if her name is Cardi B or Carl B … if she commits violent assaults, she will be brought to justice."

Dating buzz

Is Justin Theroux stepping back into the dating game? The actor was spotted out with "BlacKkKlansman" actress Laura Harrier on Oct. 1 in Paris. They were seen together in France in May as well. Both Justin and the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" actress serve as brand ambassadors for Louis Vuitton, which revealed a new collection during Paris Fashion Week around the same time. Neither has addressed the buzz speculating that their relationship has turned romantic. E! News reported in May that Jennifer Aniston's ex was "casually" dating. "Justin is hanging out and having the time of his life. He's casually dating, but it's nothing more," the insider told E! News. "He's in a great place and very happy. He's enjoying being social and meeting people from all walks of life. He is excited about doing new things and traveling. He's looking forward to a great summer of fun and just seeing where it leads."

Arrested and detained

Amy Schumer and Emily Ratajkowski were arrested in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 4 while protesting Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who's been accused of sexual assault, which he's denied. They were just two of many. Amy, it seems, was given a choice as to whether or not she wanted to be arrested. With a sign reading "We Believe Anita Hill" in hand, a police officer asked her if she wanted to be arrested and she said yes. Emily detailed her own arrest on Instagram. "Today I was arrested protesting the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, a man who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault," she wrote. "Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power. Kavanaugh's confirmation as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States is a message to women in this country that they do not matter. I demand a government that acknowledges, respects and supports women as much as it does men." Earlier in the day, Amy said at the protest, "No matter how this goes, they cannot keep us down. We will win. A vote for Kavanaugh is a vote saying women don't matter."

Charitable grocers

Brad Paisley and wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley are opening a grocery store in Nashville where everything is free. The Store, which they're opening in partnership with Brad's alma mater, Belmont University, is a food bank set up like a supermarket. "This is a grocery store with dignity for people who have fallen on hard times," Brad told the Tennessean. "All of us are one unforeseen disaster away from rock bottom. It's nice to think about a place where when that happens to someone, they can use it to get back on their feet." The Store will offer both fresh and nonperishable groceries to people in need for one year.

Speeding up divorce

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have been separated for more than three years, but they should finally be divorced by the end of the year. TMZ reported on Oct. 4 that Jen — who filed divorce papers in 2017 — has filed new legal documents aimed at speeding up a final divorce decree. She's asking to have the case yanked from the court system and put in the hands of a private judge, who can handle things faster. The divorce has taken so long, TMZ explained, because Jen didn't want to finalize a child custody agreement until she knew that Ben — who just completed 40 days in rehab — was sober again.

28-year sentence

Former rap mogul Suge Knight will be locked up for long, long time. On Oct. 4, the Death Row Records legend was formally sentenced to 28 years in prison for fatally driving over a man named Terry Carter in 2015. Before the formal sentence was handed down in a Los Angeles courtroom — which didn't come as a surprise given a plea deal he struck last month — Terry's family read their victim impact statements. While he was being led away, Suge stared at the court's gallery for a few seconds. He'll get credit for time served and, due to overcrowding, there are reports that suggest Suge, 53, could be out in about 10 years.

Near-death experience

Bono had a very, very close brush with death in 2016, and this week he opened up about that experience. "I nearly ceased to be," he told The Sunday Times about his "major moment." He added, "It was pretty serious. I'm all right now, but I very nearly wasn't." Bono has spoken about the incident in the past, but he hasn't ever confirmed what, exactly, happened. Bono has had several medical incidents: In 2008, he was checked for throat cancer, which turned out to be negative; in 2015, he was involved in a bicycling accident. "I've had a lot of warnings. A fair few punches over the last years," Bono said. "There were some serious whispers in the ear that maybe I should have taken notice of. The Edge says I look at my body as an inconvenience, and I do. I really love being alive and I'm quite good at being alive, meaning I like to get the best out of any day. It was the first time I put my shoulder to the door and it didn't open. I feel God whispered to me, 'Next time, try knocking at the door, or just try the handle. Don't use your shoulder because you'll break it.'"

Endangering his child

"Ray Donovan" star Marion "Pooch" Hall was arrested on Oct. 3 for DUI and felony child endangerment after allegedly letting his 2-year-old son drive. TMZ reported that Pooch was driving in Burbank, California, at 7:30 p.m. when fellow drivers called police to report that a small child was sitting on his lap and steering the car. At one point, Pooch's vehicle even hit a parked car. No injuries were reported. Pooch was given a field sobriety test and, according to TMZ, "could barely walk" as his blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.
