Olive Marie Osmond was born to Olive May Davis and George Virl Osmond in Ogden, Utah, on Oct. 13, 1959 — the eighth of nine children and the only girl. The devout Mormon family had already carved out careers for her siblings via the musical group the Osmond Brothers, originally made up of Alan Osmond, Wayne Osmond, Merrill Osmond and Jay Osmond. Marie Osmond's career in Hollywood began by the time she was 4. She joined her siblings' act, the Osmond Brothers, occasionally performing with the boys on television throughout the '60s. She's seen here around age 10.

In the '70s, Marie Osmond stepped out from behind her famous brothers' shadows. During that decade, Marie (seen here around 1970) started recording her first album, which skewed more country than pop, while making concert appearances with her brothers.

1973 marked the release of Marie Osmond's first single. "Paper Roses," a cover of an Anita Bryant song, hit No. 1 on the country charts. But her tune wasn't limited to country radio. It also reached the top five on Billboard's pop chart and eventually earned gold-record status.

Marie Osmond (front row, second from left) released the album "In My Little Corner of the World" in 1974. The lead single of the same name made its way onto the Top 40 Billboard country chart. But it wasn't just her solo tunes making waves. She also released two duets that year with brother Donny Osmond (front row, second from right), "I'm Leaving It All Up To You" and "Morning Side of the Mountain," both of which appeared in the Top 10 on the pop charts.

Taking their act to TV! Marie Osmond teamed up with her brother Donny Osmond for a variety show in 1975. It was so successful that ABC picked it up and in 1976, "Donny & Marie" was born. The show ran for two years before being renamed "The Osmond Family Hour" in 1979.

Joining forces! 1976 saw Marie Osmond and Donny Osmond stopping by to visit fellow '70s superstars Sonny Bono and Cher on their TV program, "The Sonny & Cher Show." The singers all donned red sweaters with their initials and performed a cover of Wings' "Silly Love Songs" together.

The late '70s saw more music from Marie Osmond including her fourth studio album, "This is the Way that I Feel." The album included some tunes written by the Bee Gees, but despite the star power behind it, it was a commercial failure.

One of the pioneers of celebrity products? Marie Osmond, who started out with her own cosmetics line. Her skin care and personalized fragrance lines first were sold at Kmart — she originally partnered with the retailer in 1977!

Just like in music, Marie Osmond eventually went solo on TV! She starred in the 1979 sitcom pilot "Marie," which didn't get picked up, but her own solo variety show did. In 1980, NBC gave the only Osmond sister her own program called — what else? — "Marie"! Unfortunately, it only lasted half a season. That same year also saw her first engagement. Though she accepted acting student Jeff Clayton's proposal, she soon called it off.

Marie Osmond switched record labels a few times in the '80s. Carving out a career for herself in country music, she went from RCA Records to Capitol Records, where she recorded her album "There's No Stopping Your Heart." The record had two No. 1 singles — the title track and a duet called "Meet Me in Montana" with Dan Seals.

Wedding bells! Marie Osmond's next engagement made it to the altar. The star married for the first time in June 1982. Husband Stephen Lyle Craig was a basketball player from Brigham Young University.

Another generation of Osmonds begins! Marie Osmond welcomed her first son, Stephen James Craig, with husband Stephen Lyle Craig in April 1983.

Keeping things in the family! In the '80s, Marie Osmond often popped up on the small screen. Besides co-hosting the ABC show "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" alongside Jack Palance, she starred in two TV movies: "I Married Wyatt Earp" and "Side by Side: The True Story of the Osmond Family," in which she played her real-life mother, Olive Osmond.

Marie Osmond and Steve Craig's first union didn't last. The couple divorced in October 1985. But it wouldn't be the end of their love story…

Marie Osmond's 1986 album "I Only Wanted You" included another duet, this time with Paul Davis, called "You're Still New To Me." That song hit No. 1 while the following single, the title track, hit the top 10. She finished up the '80s with back-to-back albums: "All in Love" in 1988 and "Steppin' Stone" in 1989. They were both commercial flops.

Marie Osmond's second wedding took place in October 1986. She married Brian Blosil (pictured here with Marie, Donny Osmond and his wife, Debbie) in Utah. They welcomed their first child, daughter Rachael, in August 1989.

1991 marked the launch of one of Marie Osmond's most iconic business ventures — her dolls. The star began selling her own line of dolls on QVC — and they sold like hot cakes! They've since set records on QVC and even picked up award nominations in the toy world including "Trendsetter of the Year" and Doll magazine's "Awards of Excellence." Broadway beckoned for Marie Osmond in the '90s. The talented star put her acting and singing chops on display as Anna Leonowens in "The King and I" from 1994 until 1995. Two years later, she returned to New York City to take the stage as Maria in a Broadway production of "The Sound of Music."

1995 marked Marie Osmond's run on a sitcom. Her show "Maybe This Time" debuted that year with Betty White playing her mom. The ABC series centered around Marie's character living with her mother and raising her 11-year-old daughter (played by Ashley Johnson) while running a family bakery. That same year, Marie released her first song in a while, a single called "What Kind of Man (Walks on a Woman)." It was her only song in the '90s and it wasn't a massive success. Unfortunately, neither was the sitcom. It was canceled after one season.

Time for a talk show! Marie Osmond reunited with brother Donny Osmond on the small screen for a talk show in 1998. The show, aptly titled "Donny and Marie," ran for two years. Guests included people like Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, the cast of then-hit series "That '70s Show" and a young Jessica Simpson.

"Behind the Smile: My Journey Out" was Marie Osmond's first foray into the publishing world. The star's debut book was released in May 2001 and focused on her experience with postpartum depression after the birth of her seventh child.

A Super Bowl ad? Yep, Marie Osmond and Donny Osmond were part of a hilarious ad for Pepsi during the 2003 Super Bowl. In the commercial, Ozzy Osbourne is shocked to see his children, Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne, turning into the Osmonds in a dream.

The Osmonds are a pretty impressive famous family, so it was only natural that they would be included on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. When the clan received a collective star in August 2003, brothers Jay, Tom, Merrill, Allan, Wayne, Donny and Jimmy showed up alongside Marie Osmond and patriarch George Osmond. One notably absent member of the Osmond family? Mother Olive.

The matriarch of the Osmond family, Olive Osmond, passed away in 2004. The family came together for her funeral, with Marie bringing along her most recently adopted daughter, then-1-year-old Abigail.

Favorite singing siblings? Yep, that's a real award — and it was won by Marie Osmond and brother Donny Osmond. The duo collected their trophy at the 2006 TV Land Awards in Los Angeles that March.

"Dancing With the Stars" came knocking on Marie Osmond's door in 2007. Marie joined the ABC show during its fifth season and was paired with pro dancer Jonathan Roberts. She eventually came in third place, only to be topped by brother Donny who took home the Mirrorball Trophy when he competed two years later.

Reunited! Marie Osmond teamed up with her brothers for the Osmonds' 50th Anniversary in Las Vegas in 2007. A year later, the group got back together in London to celebrate the fact that the DVD of the show had reached No. 1. She posed in the middle of brothers Merrill, Jimmy, Donny, Alan, Jay and Wayne.

Viva Las Vegas! Marie Osmond and brother Donny Osmond joined forces for a new venture in 2008 — a Sin City residency. Fans enjoyed duets and solo sets from the two superstars during the 90-minute show. Though it was originally scheduled to run for just six weeks, the show was such a success that it's still running to this day!

Is there anything Marie Osmond can't do? Marie launched her latest venture, the Marie Lifestyle accessories and home decor collection at Hallmark, in 2009. That year she also released her second book, "Might as Well Laugh About it Now." This book saw the star opening up about the trials and tribulations of her life. Among the subjects covered? Her marriages and divorce, weight issues, raising eight children and career pressures. But the most heartbreaking experience of her life was yet to come…

In early 2010, Marie Osmond's world crumbled when her 18-year-old son, Michael Blosil, committed suicide. Michael, who'd been struggling with depression but was clean at the time after spending time in rehab, jumped to his death from his eighth-floor apartment in Los Angeles, where he was attending college. "People say things like, 'Well, at least you have seven more children.' No, I have eight children," Marie told Oprah Winfrey later that year. "My heart will never put anybody else in that place but Michael."

Marie Osmond helped heal her broken heart by going back to work — and heading back to Broadway in late 2010. But this time she brought along brother Donny Osmond. The siblings teamed up for a holiday musical, "Donny & Marie: A Broadway Christmas," that December. It was such a hit that its original run was extended through January 2011, and demand was so great that it turned into a touring production.

Who's that handsome date? Marie Osmond brought along her oldest son, Stephen James Craig, to the Daytime Emmy Awards in 2010. That year also saw Marie Osmond's return to music! She released an album of ballads, "I Can Do This," but she had altruistic goals. All proceeds were donated to Children's Miracle Network hospitals.

Here's a twist in Marie Osmond's love life that we didn't see coming. After divorcing Brian Blosil in 2007, Marie went on to remarry her first husband, Steve Lyle Craig, in 2011. The two (seen here in 2013) tied the knot in Las Vegas the second time around — and Marie donned her original wedding dress!

Marie Osmond's third book, "The Key Is Love: My Mother's Wisdom, A Daughter's Gratitude," was released in April 2013. Within its pages, Marie shared some of late mother Olive Osmond's best advice, offering insights into how Olive helped her navigate the struggles of life. While promoting her book in 2013, Marie opened up to ABC News about gay rights. Her daughter Jessica came out as gay back in 2009. Despite coming from a conservative Mormon family, Marie shared that she believes in civil rights, including marriage equality, for the LGBTQ community.

Since Marie Osmond had always been open about her weight-loss struggles, pairing up with Nutrisystem seemed like a match made in heaven. The business relationship began in 2013 with Marie promoting the brand's weight-loss meals. Marie initially touted her amazing 50-pound slimdown using NutriSystem and the relationship continues to this day.

Since Marie Osmond was no stranger to the daytime talk-show circuit, it was only natural for her to fill in regularly on CBS's "The Talk" in 2013 and 2014. She even debuted her newest grandson on an episode in January 2014, Stephen James Craig Jr.!

Seeing double? Marie Osmond unveiled her Madame Tussauds wax figure — which wears a replica of one of Marie's looks in her Sin City residency — in February 2016.

Time for a comeback! Despite going five years without putting out music (and 15 before that!), Marie Osmond returned to country music in 2016. That April, her "Music is Medicine" album entered the Billboard Top Country Albums chart at No. 10.

Girls' night! Marie Osmond brought her gorgeous and all-grown-up daughters Rachael and Brianna along with her to the 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards.

Marie Osmond, along with brother Donny Osmond, received a key to the Las Vegas Strip in August 2019 at the Flamingo Las Vegas, where they'd racked up more than 1,600 performances during their 11-year residency. After the event, Marie took to Instagram, writing, "We're so thankful for this city and all the love we've felt here through the years. Viva #LasVegas!! Thank you for honoring us with the #KeyToTheLasVegasStrip."

In September 2019, Marie Osmond joined the ladies of "The Talk," replacing Sara Gilbert on the daytime talk show. Though she'd previously often served as a guest host, this time, she accepted a permanent position for the show's 10th season alongside Sheryl Underwood, Carrie Ann Inaba, Sharon Osbourne and Eve Cooper.
