In August 2012, Taylor Swift and then-boyfriend Conor Kennedy reportedly crashed a Kennedy family wedding in Boston. The mother of the bride, Victoria Gifford Kennedy, told the Boston Herald that the duo "texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come. I responded with a very clear 'Please do not come.' They came anyway." Added the matriarch, "I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. … It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me." Yikes! However, in 2016, she did it again, crashing a longtime fan's wedding in New Jersey. This time, things went smoothly, and she even performed briefly and gave the newly married couple a gift.

Kristen Stewart and Stella Maxwell crashed the reception of a same-sex wedding in Canada on July 22, 2017. Following the nuptials, the reception took place at a local pizzeria. One of the brides, Kirsten Jennings, told CBC news how it all went down. "The [pizzeria] owner came up to me, and he said, 'Hey, is it OK if Kristen Stewart and her girlfriend Stella come and have a few drinks with you guys?' and I was like, 'Yeah, totally! Yeah, no problem. Um, who is that?'" she said. Kristen stayed until 1 am, the new bride said, and even requested several songs from the DJ. "They looked just like two normal girls. They look a little Hollywood, but if we didn't know who they were, I don't know if I would have known," Kirsten said. "We said 'Hey, you know. Come on and meet your guests and, you know, don't segregate yourselves. Come and party."
