What would you do with millions of dollars? Chances are you'd splurge on an extravagant item every now and then. Wonderwall.com is rounding up some of the wildest celebrity splurges of all time, starting with the one and only Oprah Winfrey! As a billionaire mogul, it's not shocking that Oprah has made a crazy purchase or two over her career. One of the most interesting items she owns? A marble and onyx bathtub hand-carved to fit her every curve. She told James Corden on "The Late Late Show With James Corden" of the special-order tub, "It was carved to the shape of my body." Paris Hilton's dogs live in the lap of luxury. Back in 2009, the star bought her now infamous dog villa — a two-story 300-square-foot home for her four-legged friends filled with furniture including a black crystal chandelier. The retail price of this fancy pup palace: $325,000 — more than most people spend on their own home.

In 2014, JAY-Z proved there might be such a thing as being too rich. The rapper and business mogul surprised many when he shelled out an insane $55 million to buy a racehorse. But it wasn't just any racehorse — this equine was named California Chrome and was a Kentucky Derby winner. Even so, with that price tag, it seemed JAY-Z was picking up a very expensive hobby.

When you're one of the richest and most famous couples in the world, finding a Valentine's Day present isn't easy. That's why back in 2010, Angelina Jolie had to get creative and ended up purchasing then-love Brad Pitt a 200-year-old olive tree as a gift. The price of this very unique present? A whopping $18,500. Yes, for the price of a car, you too can have a tree that's centuries old!
Back in the early '00s when Celine Dion started performing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, she had a very specific — and very expensive — request. The superstar needed a humidifier installed above the stage where she performed in order to preserve her voice. The retail price for this humidifier? A cool $2 million.
Suri Cruise is one of the most famous kids on the planet, so it's only natural that her toys are on a different level. In 2012 at age 6, mom Katie Holmes bought her a playhouse — but not just any run-of-the-mill Fisher Price playhouse. No, only the finest would do for Suri, who got a $24,000 Grand Victoria Playhouse from the company Sweet Retreat Kids, which specializes in darling functional houses (they even have electricity and running water!).
Kim Basinger once bought a town! Back in 1989, the star purchased 1,751 acres of 2,000-acre Braselton, Georgia, for $20 million. She intended to turn it into a film studio and tourist attraction, but unfortunately, this purchase also served as a warning to be more frugal. The town eventually was auctioned off when the star filed for bankruptcy in 1995.
Oprah Winfrey isn't the only star with a fancy tub! Mike Tyson once bought a bathtub that rivals the price of, well, an impressive mansion. The boxer shelled out $2.2 million for a bathtub made of 24-karat gold for then-wife Robin Givens in the '80s. Of course, this was reportedly before he filed for bankruptcy in 2003.
Sofas are a necessary piece of furniture. And while most humans spend maybe a couple hundred dollars on this living room staple, celebrities have different ideas when it comes to picking out something to sit on. Kendall Jenner, for instance, spent a reported $52,000 on a sofa for her home in 2016. Yes, her couch cost the same as multiple cars. Perhaps what was even more shocking was what it looked like: The sofa from Italian brand Edra appeared to have more in common with a messy pile of knots than an expensive piece of furniture.
Some celebrity splurges are built into a star's budget! In 2018, Johnny Depp revealed that he had an extraordinary amount of cash set aside monthly for one purpose — buying wine. The movie star admitted that he spent over $30,000 every month on the alcoholic beverage, leaving everyone to wonder how he could possibly drink that much and need a refresh that often!
Everyone knows iPhones aren't cheap, but did you know that when they're plated in gold, they can match the price of a car? back in 2011, Victoria Beckham had an iPhone made of 24-karat gold that was designed by Stuart Hughes. The price tag for this over-the-top cell phone? $33,000. No word on what happened when she needed an upgrade!
For a celebrity, $2,500 is pocket change. But that's the amount John Legend reportedly spent on a wheel of cheese! Back in December 2015, the singer got his lovely wife, model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen, a huge round of the dairy product that cost more than most people's rent. After being gifted the extravagant hunk of fromage, Chrissy took to social media to announce it was her "lifetime dream" to get such a present — so at least it was worth it!
When Beyonce attended the Met Gala in 2016, she arrived in a custom-made Givenchy dress made out of latex. Though the dress spawned a flurry of memes and Internet jokes, the reported price of the frock wasn't so funny. It was rumored that each pearl cost around $8,000, bringing the grand total of the gown to over $300,000.
One celebrity we didn't expect to see on this list? Daniel Radcliffe! But the "Harry Potter" franchise star reportedly shelled out big bucks for a surprising (but understandable!) reason — a good night's sleep. The actor is said to have once spent $17,000 on a mattress from UK-based Savoir Beds that was custom made to fit his bed frame.
