Prince Harry and Meghan Markle head to the countryside for a weekend getaway

With just one week to go before their wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ducked out of the London spotlight for a weekend getaway at a cottage in the Cotswolds. "The run-up to the wedding has been quite stressful for them and they just wanted to get away and relax before the big day," an insider tells The Sun (via the Daily Mail). "They like to escape to the country for the weekend and the cottage is just perfect for them. It's very private, has a vast open-plan kitchen and dining area for Meghan to cook in and lots of large windows for the stunning views." Though Harry and Meghan, who's said to be a "big fan" of the secret spot, were only renting the four-bedroom digs, the cottage and surrounding area reportedly had to be outfitted with motion sensor alarms and cameras for their stay. As for the wedding stress, much of the tension seems to be coming from Meghan's family. Last week, her estranged brother changed his tune about the wedding, which he'd previously suggested Harry call off, and wrote to Meghan begging for an invitation.

It sounds like George Clooney and Amal Clooney are faring better than some members of Meghan Markle's family in the royal wedding invite department. LaineyGossip spotted an item in the Spanish celebrity news mag, HOLA!, in which hair stylist Miguel Perez, whose clients include both Amal and Meghan, would not confirm or deny whether he'd be handling Meghan's wedding hair needs before she walks down the aisle to marry Prince Harry on May 19. "What I can confirm," he said, "is that I will be in charge of Amal's hair that day." D'oh! Reps for the Clooney's have kept their lips zipped on the stars' plans for next weekend, but if Amal's getting her hair done in London by a high-profile stylist, it seems likely she'll be wedding-bound.

Cardi B deletes her Instagram account after Azealia Banks' nasty comments

Cardi B seems to be done with social media — thanks to Azealia Banks. During an interview on "The Breakfast Club" last week, Azealia called Cardi an "illiterate, untalented rat," a "caricature of a black woman" and a "poor man's Nicki Minaj," before blaming a shift in the perception of black women on "Bodak Yellow" rapper. "Two years ago, the conversation surrounding black women's culture was really reaching an all-time high," Azealia said, referring to Beyonce's "Lemonade." "There was just this really, really, really intelligent conversation going on nationally and then everything just kind of changed and then it was like Cardi B." Shortly after the comments aired, Cardi deleted her Instagram account and set her Twitter to protected, making her tweets private. "I'm from the hood," she wrote in a statement before nixing the accounts, according to Billboard. "I speak how I speak I am how I am. I did not choose to be famous people choose me! People followed me on Instagram and the people gave me a platform to introduce my talent. I never asked to be a example or a role model I don't want to change my ways because I'm famous that's why I just mind my business. This is coming from a woman that bleached her skin but want to advocate. GOODBYE. Im not apologizing or kill myself because of who I am." It's hardly the first fight Azealia's picked with another music star; she's also feuded with Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Iggy Azalea, Pharrell and others.

Justin Bieber and his mom are definitely in a better place than they once were. Three years ago, Justin Bieber told Billboard his relationship with his mother was "pretty non-existing" because he knew she was "disappointed" in him and he was "ashamed." On Mother's Day, though, he reached out to Pattie, sharing a photo of the two of them together and quoting the Boyz II Men track, "A Song for Mama." "You taught me everything," he wrote in the caption, quoting the throwback song's lyrics. "Everything you've given me / I'll always keep it inside / You're the driving force in my life, yeah / There isn't anything /Or anyone that I could be / And it just wouldn't feel right / If I didn't have you by my side / You were there for me to love and care for me / When skies were gray / Whenever I was down / You were always there to comfort me / And no one else can be / What you have been to me you will always be / You will always be the girl / In my life for all times." According to The Blast, Pattie later posted a message that seemed like a response to her son's sweet words — and maybe to the disappointment he talked about to Billboard back in 2015. "Please forgive me of all of my shortcomings as I forgive you of yours, past present and future!!" Pattie wrote. "Bless you to be all you were created to be. What an honor it's been to know you and watch you grow as your mother. We got this. #LoveWins."

Caitlyn Jenner leaves Khloe Kardashian out of Mother's Day tribute

Caitlyn Jenner wished a happy Mother's Day to a slew of the moms in her life over the weekend, shouting out Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian in an Instagram stories montage. According to InTouch, there was one longtime family member and new mom Caitlyn left out of her tribute, though. Khloe Kardashian, who welcomed her first child, True, on April 12, did not appear in the post, which was later deleted. There's been tension between Caitlyn and her former step-daughter ever since Khloe read Caitlyn's memoir, in which she made some comments Khloe thought were hurtful towards her mom, Kris. They are no longer on speaking terms — a situation Khloe has said wouldn't change with the arrival of True.

Salma Hayek says Harvey Weinstein denied her claims because she's a woman of color

Salma Hayek was among the 82 women who linked arms on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival over the weekend to demand, as Cate Blanchett said in the statement she read, "that our workplaces are diverse and equitable so that they can best reflect the world in which we actually live." The next day, Salma discussed the changes she's seen since the #MeToo movement sprang into action during the "Women in Motion" talk series. "I can't find enough female writers and directors. They're all busy. The change already happened," Salma said, according to the New York Post. "Maybe you don't see the difference in the numbers, but it just happened this year. It worked. And I think we should enjoy it." She also addressed the denial Harvey Weinstein issued after she wrote an op-ed alleging he'd sexually harassed her. "It was a strategy by the lawyers, because we are the easiest to get discredited," she said. "It is a well-known fact, if you are a woman of color, people believe what you say less. So he went attacking the two women of color," she continued, referencing Lupita Nyong'o as the other woman whose claims he denied, "in hopes that if he could discredit us, he could then maybe discredit the rest." While she admitted that men "are terrified" and "predators are hiding," following the producer's scandal, she noted it's a good time for men to come to terms with what their gender is all about, too. "This is a new era for men," she said.

Rumors about Tori Spelling's mental health have swirled since a handful of police interventions earlier this year, but in a pair of Us Weekly stories recapped by Celebitchy, the mother of five says everything's going well in her personal life. "My husband and I have it so balanced. We really balance each other with getting it all done. We're kind of that rock for each other. I always feel you're not given more than you can handle," she said. Seems Tori's pretty sure she could "handle" more kids, too. Dean? Not so much. "The more you put on my plate, the more creative I am, the more things get done," Tori said. "I could never be complacent having one child. I mean, God bless anyone that has one child. Children, whether you have six or one, it's great. But one child, I would be like, 'OK, but what's next?' It's my thing," she explained adding that her kids would love to have another sibling. "You know, I do, I like even numbers, they keep asking, they all want one more because they want a little baby sister now," she said. "But I can't imagine dad being sane if we have one more. It would push dad over the edge. He's doing the best he can!"

Kanye West's office investigated by OSHA

The Calabasas office where Kanye West's Yeezy sneakers are designed is under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Association. TMZ reports OSHA is looking into potential workplace safety violations that could have contributed to an accident in which an Adidas employee was airlifted to a hospital after a large 3D printer fell on his foot while he was working there. The accident, which took place about two months ago, reportedly caused such sever injuries he may have had to have it amputated. The employee has not been back to work since and insiders say he's contracted legal help and may sue.

Pink will stop touring when 'it stops working' for her kids

There's going to be an expiration date on Pink's touring — and it's dependent on her children. In the new issue of Redbook, the singer and mother of two explains that her children have joined her on the road, but may not want to as they get older. "When I left [for the Truth About Love Tour], Willow was 14 months, and I would come offstage and breastfeed her. That was our bonding time and some of my favorite moments. Jameson is now doing the same thing," she said. "When touring stops working for the kids, if they decide they just want to be home and have a normal life, whatever that means, I'll stop, because they are by far the priority. But I think it's cool that they get to see their mom be the boss and work really freaking hard to realize a dream. I'd say it's 95 percent positive."

Rita Ora apologizes after 'Girls' sparks backlash

Rita Ora has apologized for the interpretations of her song, "Girls," that struck a sour note with artists including Hayley Kiyoko. In a quote excerpted by JustJared, Hayley complained: "Every so often there come certain songs with messaging that is just downright tone-deaf, which does more harm than good for the LGBTQ+ community. A song like this just fuels the male gaze while marginalizing the idea of women loving women." In a post on Monday, May 14, Rita wrote: "I am sorry [sic] how I expressed myself in my song has hurt anyone," the "Lonely Together. I would never intentionally cause harm to other LGBTQ+ people or anyone." She went on to say she's been romantically involved with people of both genders over the years. "'Girls' was written to represent my truth and is an accurate account of a very real and honest experience in my life. I have had romantic relationships with women and men throughout my life and this is my personal journey." She closed the post by saying, "I have strived to be a contributor to the LGBTQ+ community throughout my entire career and always will be."
