Meghan Markle gives Prince Harry a tour of her 'Suits' set
Prince Harry's romance with Meghan Markle took a pop culture detour last week in Toronto when the actress brought Harry to the set of her USA Network series, "Suits."
"He was super low-key, met some crew and was so happy to watch his lady. He's incredibly supportive of her work," an insider told Hello! magazine after the visit. According to the source, Meghan treated Harry to a tour of the set and introduced him to a few folks. "Everyone was so excited," the insider said. Harry was in Canada for the Invictus Games, the international sports competition he created for injured and sick service men and women. After Harry's set visit, Meghan joined in the Invictus Games opening ceremonies at the Air Canada Centre, where she cheered for her boyfriend of one year as he spoke to the crowd. Although the couple sat a few rows away from one another at the ceremony, the event represented Harry and Meghan's first official engagement together. On Monday, Sept. 25, when they sat together at a wheelchair tennis event then left holding hands, they were reportedly rewarded with cheers from the crowd.

Celebs speak out in support of NFL players 'taking a knee' during National Anthem
NFL players across the league took a knee, locked arms in solidarity and held up their fists over the weekend in response to Donald Trump's suggestion team owners should fire any player who does not stand for the National Anthem. Meanwhile, dozens of celebs showed their support for the players. At the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in Tennessee, Eddie Vedder took a knee before his second song and slammed the president multiple times throughout the concert, according to Billboard. At his concert in Charlottesville, Virginia, Pharrell Williams knelt and pointed out he can't be told not to take a knee because "that's what the flag is for." Others voiced concern and disgust with the president's remarks about the growing wave of demonstrations, which began when Colin Kaepernick took a knee as a silent protest and prayer for the country amid reports of police brutality. Ellen DeGeneres tweeted, "As a football fan, I am proud of the NFL players today,' Ellen wrote. 'Nothing is more American than the right to peacefully protest" (via the Daily Mail), while Chelsea Handler posted, "I am watching football today out of respect for all these players. Good for you @Kaepernick7 for starting a movement. Black lives matter." Ice Cube, Russell Simmons, Andy Cohen, John Mayer, John Legend, Ellen Barkin, Zendaya and Alyssa Milano tweeted in support of protesters' right to freely express their views, as well. Fergie steps out for a 'date night' with her son, Axl
After a busy week of promoting her new album, "Double Dutchess," amid news of her split from Josh Duhamel, Fergie spent some serious hang time with her 4-year-old son in the Big Apple over the weekend. On Saturday, Sept. 23, the mother-and-son pair headed to Broadway to see "Aladdin" in what Fergie dubbed a "date night with Axl Jack" on Twitter. The next day, the singer and Axl cheered for Miami as the Dolphins tried, unsuccessfully, to fend off the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. When Fergie got back to work on Monday, Sept. 25, she brought her little guy with her to the "Elvis Duran Morning Show," according to posts on social media. Fergie and Axl's dad, Josh, announced last week they'd separated "earlier this year." They did not elaborate on the reasons for their split, but insiders have pointed to "trust issues" and Josh's alleged discomfort with Fergie's return to music.
George Clooney: Hillary Clinton failed to 'elevate her game'
Last spring, George Clooney supported Hillary Clinton's campaign by hosting a fundraiser in her honor. Now that the election has come and gone, along with her chance to be president, the actor has a different perspective on Hillary's candidacy. "It was frustrating because I never saw her elevate her game," George said in a new interview with The Daily Beast. "I never saw it. And I had a lot of liberal friends who were like, 'She's not good at this.'" He went on to acknowledge the Democratic candidate was more qualified than even her husband was when he was elected president," but complained she lacked the ability to connect with voters. "When she got up and gave a speech, it didn't soar," he said. "I think that she wasn't particularly good at articulating things that she wanted to do, and unfortunately we live at a time right now where articulating what you want to do is more potent in the electorate than the other way around, obviously, when [Donald] Trump only said he was going to 'Make America Great Again.'" George added that Hillary's qualification for the job "does not necessarily mean you're the right person to be president." The actor also cited examples of what he believes to be Donald Trump's hypocrisy. "Don't play coy and claim that you don't remember who David Duke is when you were actually running for president 25 years earlier and said that the reason you got out was because David Duke was in the party," he said. "[The president] lives in a gold tower and has 12 people in his company. I just look at it and laugh when I see him say 'Hollywood elite,'" George continued. "Hollywood elite? I don't have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, Donald Trump has a star on Hollywood Boulevard! F— you!"
Demi Lovato discusses plans to help children in Iraq deal with war-related trauma
While a slew of musicians at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City over the weekend used their platform to protest the current administration in the U.S., Global Citizen ambassador Demi Lovato talked about her plans to advocate for displaced children in countries like Iraq. Demi, who has spoken openly about her own struggles with mental health, is backing an expansion of Save the Children's Healing and Education through the Arts program, which aims to use art to help young people deal with violence-related trauma, according to the New York Post. "Ending the stigma around mental health conditions and supporting internally displaced children to build physical and mental resilience through education and access to justice is not a choice," Demi told the crowd. "It needs to happen, and it needs to happen now."
Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirms the gender of his baby-to-be
Yep. It's a girl. Jeffrey Dean Morgan accidentally shared the gender of the baby he and Hilarie Burton are expecting while speaking at the "Supernatural" convention in New Jersey over the weekend, according to E! News. Having realized it was too late to keep the news from getting out, he confirmed on Instagram instead, sharing a photo from the instant he realized he'd said more than he was supposed to. "Whoever took this picture?? Caught a moment… thank you," he captioned the shot. "We shall cherish…," he continued. "I texted @hilarie burton right after I spilled the little girl beans… and, as usual… she was a rockstar. After all these years she's come to expect me to be a dope… thank god she gets it, and loves me regardless. Thank you New Jersey, and the incredible @cw_supernatural family! Love ya all, and had a blast seeing you. And most of all… all the love in the world to my boys… @jensenackles and @jaredpadalecki it's always too little time together… but it's always special. I miss ya both. Xojd." Jeffrey Dean and Hilarie tacitly revealed they were expecting another child on the Emmys red carpet when he cradled his partner's baby bump and smiled.
Quentin Tarantino and Daniella Pick celebrate their engagement in NYC
Quentin Tarantino has said when he makes a movie, he goes all in, focusing on nothing else until the project is done. So it was no surprise that when it came time to celebrate the director's engagement to Israeli actress, singer and model Daniella Pick over the weekend, the event's guest list read like a Tarantino film page on imdb.com. The New York Post reports Harvey Weinstein, who has worked with Quentin on all of his projects since "Reservoir Dogs," hosted the party at Socialista in New York City, where the groom-to-be's longtime collaborators toasted the happy couple. Uma Thurman reportedly thanked Quentin for his generosity through the years while Harvey Keitel, who played Mr. White in "Reservoir Dogs," Winston Wolf in "Pulp Fiction" and Jacob Fuller in "From Dusk Till Dawn," joked, "I feel like I can't get rid of Quentin." Quentin, 54, and Daniella, 33, are expected to marry next year.
Matt Bomer opens up about raising three sons with husband Simon Halls
As parents to three sons, Matt Bomer and his husband Simon Halls are focused on their family these days. "What's meaningful to us are manners, respect, a good work ethic, a belief in themselves, that they can follow their dreams, pursue whatever they want to pursue and to be their most authentic self. Whoever you are and whoever you want to be is accepted and surrounded with love," Matt says in the new issue of Modern Luxury magazine (via JustJared). "Once you become a parent, your world becomes much more tightknit," he explains, "It becomes about the family, as it should be. That's who lifts me up in a storm. We're fortunate to have loving kids who haven't been caught up in the wave of being too cool to give us hugs and kisses just yet." Matt revealed earlier this year that he and Simon secretly tied the knot in 2011.
Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder apologize for birth control story
Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder have issued an apology to anyone who was offended by a story they recently told about Ian throwing away Nikki's birth control while she watched. As they explained in their open letter on social media, the story was not about Ian forcing Nikki to get pregnant, but rather a happy recollection of something they both thought was funny and exciting. "To anyone who has been affected by reproductive coercion, we are deeply sorry," they wrote on Twitter. "That is an extremely serious issue, and women's rights is something that is incredibly important to both of us. It is something we've been very vocal about, and something that is very close to our hearts," the continued. "We never expected a lighthearted interview we did poking fun at EACH OTHER and how WE chose together to get pregnant. A goofy moment in Barcelona with our two best friends and the anticipation of our journey together as we went from two to three, to turn into something representing a very serious matter. However, if this somehow sheds light on a topic that definitely needs mainstream attention, then we are grateful for the unintended consequence," they added. "It's a shame that outlets chose this as their way into a very serious discussion, as we are certainly not qualified to be the faces of this topic." They closed by writing, "We are two happily married people who chose TOGETHER to have a baby. The end. Love, Nikki and Ian." According to People, the apology comes after Nikki slammed a writer who summarized their podcast story in terms that suggested the actress had not consented to her pregnancy.
