Ginnifer Goodwin
Ginnifer Goodwin's love affair with the stage began when she starred in a play version of The Little Engine That Could in kindergarten. She became a self-described "Shakespeare nerd" by the fifth grade and participated in as many school and local productions as she could. When it was time to head to college, there was no doubt what her major would be. She graduated with honors from Boston University and was given the Excellence In Acting: Professional Promise Award by the Bette Davis Foundation before studying at the Shakespeare Institute in the Bard's hometown of Stratford-Upon-Avon and earning the a certificate from London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She changed the spelling of her first name to reflect her mother's Southern accent-affected pronunciation and returned stateside, first toiling in Beantown and then New York. After guesting on Law & Order, she took on a recurring role on NBC's Ed until 2003 when she left to try her hand at films (Mona Lisa Smile, Win A Date With Tad Hamilton, Walk The Line, He's Just Not That Into You, Something Borrowed). She returned to TV as the Bill Paxton's youngest sister wife Margene on HBO's Big Love for five seasons. Goodwin, who dated American Pie's Chris Klein for two years, found big love with Prince Charming — well actually with the man who portrays him, Josh Dallas — on the set of her current ABC project Once Upon A Time.
