Jessica Simpson
Choking in the final round of 1993 Mouseketeer auditions did not stop Jessica Simpson's rising star. The anti-Britney released her first album Sweet Kisses, full of innocent pop songs like "I Wanna Love You Forever," and began her six-year, on-and-off love affair with fellow teen heartthrob Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees in 1999. Despite going more tarty bubblegum and showing skin on her 2001 CD, Irresistible, sales are disappointing and the preacher's daughter instead became a household name through 2003's Newlyweds, the hit MTV reality show that charted her first year of marriage to Lachey and exposed just how ditzy a blond she was. Before splitting from Lachey in late 2005, she sang at fellow Texan George W. Bush's inauguration ceremony, donned Daisy Dukes for a big-screen adaptation of Dukes Of Hazzard and became an ambassador for Operation Smile. She rebounded with John Mayer before playing the field with Dallas Cowboy Tony Romo for two years. She gave country music a try with Do You Know, but ultimately found more success as a fashion mogul and reality star (She produced/starred in VH1's The Price of Beauty in 2010 after enduring public body bullying over minor weight gain and a bad pair of mom jeans. She is also a mentor on Fashion Star.) She has also found happiness with former NFL player Eric Johnson, who proposed in May 2010 and proceeded to quickly knock Simpson up in 2011. Nearly eight months after welcoming daughter Maxwell, Simpson confirmed they are expecting another child in 2013.
