La La Anthony
After getting her start as a teen in radio, LaLa Anthony came to prominence as an MTV VJ in the 2000s — when she co-hosted Direct Effect, Total Request Live, and various reunion specials for VH1's Flavor of Love, I Love New York and Charm School — and can currently be seen on the 50 Cent-produced Starz drama Power. She played herself in the classic dance-off movie, You Got Served, and played characters in two Think Like A Man films, Soul Plane and Baggage Claim. She started her own production company in 2003 and produced an award-winning Mike Tyson documentary. She launched a cosmetics line called MOTIVES in 2012 and a capsule clothing collection for Shopbop in 2013 called 5th & Mercer. She released her first book, New York Times bestseller The Love Playbook, in 2014 and has a second one slated for release in 2015. She has chronicled her relationship with NBA star Carmelo Anthony in multiple seasons of La La's Full Court Wedding and La La's Full Court Life. They were engaged in 2004, had their son Kiyan in March 2007, and were married in New York in 2010.
