Scarlett Johansson shows off huge back tat: Was it inspired by her daughter?

Turns out Scarlett Johansson's massive back tattoo is as real as they come. The actress was first spotted with markings on her back on the set of "The Avengers" in 2017, but Refinery29 reports the body art was rumored to have been fake at the time. When the tat, which appears to feature roses and a tiny lamb, peeked out from behind the flowers on her dress at the Met Gala, it was still unclear if she had the ink done for a role. On Monday, Sept. 17, at the Emmy Awards, however, it was pretty clear the etching is permanent, particularly given the white Balmain dress she wore to support her boyfriend, Colin Jost, as he shared hosting duties for the evening with Michael Che. It's not her first tattoo — the star also has two circles on her ankle, a sunrise on her arm, a bracelet on her wrist, and the words "Lucky One" on her ribcage, according to the Daily Mail. It could be her most important one though: if those are indeed roses on her back, it seems likely the inspiration was the daughter Scarlett shares with her ex, Romain Dauriac, whose name is Rose.

Serena Williams 'could not be more proud' of Meghan Markle for new cookbook

Serena Williams has nothing but praise for her friend, Meghan Markle's new cookbook and the forward she wrote for it. "I used to call you Meghan (and I still do) but dear Duchess of Sussex, your first project Together a cookbook bringing women of all cultures together," Serena tweeted this week, posting photos from Meghan's "Together: Our Community Cookbook." The book is comprised of recipes from women affected by the Grenfell Tower fire last June, according to ET. "I could not be more excited about it and proud of you," Serena added. "It's beautiful – diversity, inclusivity, coming together in grief or joy." Proceeds from the book are earmarked for the Hubb Community Kitchen, which was started by members of the community affected by the deadly fire. "I immediately felt connected to this community kitchen; it is a place for women to laugh, grieve, cry and cook together," Meghan wrote of her visit to the kitchen. "Melding cultural identities under a shared roof, it creates a space to feel a sense of normalcy – in its simplest form, the universal need to connect, nurture, and commune through food, through crisis or joy – something we can all relate to," she continued. "…Through this charitable endeavor, the proceeds will allow the kitchen to thrive and keep the global spirit of community alive."

Kristin Davis leaves Kim Cattrall out of 'SATC' Emmys post

Emmy throwback shade, anyone? Kristin Davis may have reopened the (seemingly bottomless) can of worms that is the feud between Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker. As the 2018 Emmy Awards got underway on Monday, Kristin posted a photo from the 2004 awards that showed her enjoying an afterparty with SJP and Cynthia Nixon. "Emmy flashback – super happy memories and wishing joy to everyone tonight . We are all so incredibly lucky to get to do what we do !" Kristin wrote alongside the smiling faces in the photo. Kim's absence from the pic left a slew of Kristin's followers wondering if she intentionally picked a shot without Kim in it, given Kim's online war of words with SJP around Kim's decision not to do a third "Sex and the City" film, which seemed to leave Sarah Jessica blaming Kim for the project not coming to fruition. (Kim's said plenty of not-so-nice, very public things about Sarah Jessica, too, including a post in which Kim accused Sarah Jessica of "exploiting" the death of Kim's brother "to restore your 'nice girl' persona.") Responses to Kristin's Emmys post ranged from "totally wrong" to "I'm starting to understand why Kim decided not to make more films with you ladies," according to E! News.

Asia Argento announces she will move forward with lawsuit against Rose McGowan

Asia Argento says she's moving forward with plans to sue Rose McGowan for libel. The director previously threatened to sue Rose if she did not retract statements (or, as Asia's called them in her initial warning, "horrendous statements") Rose made about Asia's relationship with musician and actor Jimmy Bennett, who played Asia's son in 2004's "The Heart is Deceitful in All Things." Jimmy had allegedly claimed in lawyers' documents reportedly seen by the New York Times that Asia sexually assaulted him when he was 17 and she was 37, claims Asia has denied (she has said it was Jimmy who attacked her, not the other way around). When the Times published a story about their alleged interaction in a California hotel room. According to the Times, Rose gave a statement last month in which she said her partner, Rain Dove, shared a text conversation with Asia in which Asia admitted she slept with Jimmy. Rain Dove also told CNN Asia had texted her and referred to a "shakedown letter" from Jimmy, whom she's said extorted her for money. In the text, Asia also allegedly said, "the horny kid jumped me" in reference to her interaction with Jimmy, then said "I had sex with him it was weird. I didn't know he was a minor until the shakedown letter." Rose, meanwhile, publicly suggested Asia "be honest" about what happened with Jimmy. "The 24hr deadline given to retract your recent false statements about me has now passed," Asia tweeted on Tuesday, Sept. 18. "I must inform you & @raindovemodel that I've instructed Mishcon de Reya to seek substantial damages for deception, fraud, coercion and libel. You will hear from them shortly," she added. Asia and Rose became close after they both accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, according to Page Six. The law firm Asia said would be contacting Rose had not replied to Page Six for comment as of Tuesday morning.

Tiffany Haddish and Katt Williams make amends

Looks like all is well between Tiffany Haddish and Katt Williams. When the pair bumped into one another at the Emmy Awards on Monday, Sept. 18, cell phones caught Katt, who won a guest actor award for his role on "Atlanta," kneeling before Tiffany as she held her Emmy for guest actress in a comedy series for hosting "Saturday Night Live," according to TMZ. The bow came on the heels of remarks Katt made on a radio show last week in which he suggested Tiffany's success hasn't come from paying her dues at comedy clubs like other female comedians, among other disparaging comments. Tiffany responded by posting the radio interview clip and writing "It's official! I made it! @KattPackAllDay talked about me and didn't have his facts right! #IWin #SheReady. … I look forward to seeing you on Monday Katt, when we pick up our Emmys. I just want to shower you with REAL Love cause you need it, and I love you." They both later denied there's any issue between them .

Patton Oswalt stages a do-over of 2016 Emmy shot

Five months after his wife, writer Michelle McNamara died from an undiagnosed heart condition combined with prescription medication, died in her sleep, Patton Oswalt won an Emmy Award for Netflix show, "Patton Oswalt: Talking For Clapping." He later posted a photo of himself looking depressed and alone outside a fast food joint with the facetious caption, "This #Emmys after party is off da CHAIN!" That was 2016. This year, Patton decided to stage a redo. "Two years ago versus today," he wrote on Twitter after the 2018 Emmy Awards, sharing a photo of the old shot side-by-side with a new version that included his wife, Meredith Salenger, whom he married in November 2017. "No Emmy this time," Patton added, "but a life that's turned pure gold thanks to @MeredthSalenger."

Peter Dinklage: 'Wrapping 'Game of Thrones' was very sad'

For Peter Dinklage, playing Tyrion Lannister on "Game of Thrones" was more than just a job. As he told Page Six backstage at the Emmy Awards after winning the Best Supporting Actor honor, the long-running show had become a massive part of his life by the time he wrapped his last day on set in July. "It was very sad. This is not only a great TV show to be a part of, but it was an enormous family to be a part of," he explained. "I'm sure you've heard that before from actors but in this case I was far from home; I live in New York and we shot the show in Europe, so many times I had to stay there and couldn't go home on the weekends and really developed deep roots in the community of Ireland and some of the other countries we shot in. It was definitely hard to say goodbye to because it wasn't just saying goodbye to the show, I was saying goodbye to a life over there." The three-time Emmy winner added: "I absolutely adored this character and the stories we were telling. It's so beautiful when other people end up feeling the same way you do." The final season of "Game of Thrones" airs next year.

Alec Baldwin misspoke when he said Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin were already married

Hailey Baldwin's uncle, Alec Baldwin, seems to have jumped the gun when he told "Access Hollywood" Hailey and Justin Bieber were already husband and wife. "They just went off and got married," he said this week. "They went ahead and did it without listening to anyone." TMZ's sources are hearing a different story. According to the website, Justin and Hailey simply got a marriage license from a New York City courthouse that gives them 60 days to walk down the aisle. Hailey has also denied that they're married, tweeting, "I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I'm not married yet!"

The Weeknd sued for allegedly stealing 'Starboy'

Did The Weekend and Daft Punk rip off another artist when they recorded "Starboy?" A singer named Yasminah apparently thinks so. She recently filed a lawsuit against the singer and producers in which she claims their huge hit shares more than a passing similarity to her 2009 song "Hooyo." She points to the two songs' matching keys, similar tempos and claps, according to TMZ. She also says two of her producers threatened to sue previously but settled, noting that she was never paid out of the settlement. She's reportedly asking for at least $5 million.

Why Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson skipped Emmys

In the wake of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller's death on Sept. 7, Ariana Grande decided to skip the 2018 Emmy Awards in favor of doing some self-care. That's according to the singer's rep, who told People that despite a photo showing a seating chart with seats reserved for Ariana and her fiancé, "Saturday Night Live" star Pete Davidson, the couple would be sitting this one out. "Pete has also opted to not attend to be with her in New York," the rep said. "Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend," Ariana's spokesperson added. "She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding." Following Mac's death, Ariana was forced to turn off her Instagram comments as trolls began accusing her of being responsible for the late rapper's apparent overdose. Ariana's also said she's still suffering from PTSD and anxiety related the suicide bombing attack at her 2017 show in Manchester that left 22 people dead and hundreds injured.
