Kelly Clarkson's talk show could take over Ellen DeGeneres' time slot, TV insiders say
Following last year's bad behavior accusations, Ellen DeGeneres continues to see a decline in ratings for her long-running daytime talk show. Now, some TV insiders are predicting Kelly Clarkson's eponymous show could take over the popular, 3 p.m. "Ellen" time slot. According to Page Six, Ellen's due to begin negotiations with NBC about the future of her show next month. She has just one year left in her current contract, and her ratings are reportedly down eight percent, leaving her vulnerable to potential competition from Kelly, whose show snagged three Daytime Emmy Awards in 2020. As of last month, Kelly's ratings were hitting "season high" numbers Page Six says were on par with Ellen's for the first time ever.

Three years after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Selma Blair is able to return to one of her favorite activities, horseback riding. "I've always wanted to be a great rider," she shared on Instagram over the weekend. "Begging my mom for lessons as a kid, but I showed no promise and she was a working mom. A few lessons and memorable summers at riding camp." Selma went on to recall more about her journey to becoming, "a grown amateur without a horse and a track record of falls and forgetting courses," then said buying her white horse, Nibbles, was her "biggest investment" in herself. "A sober self with increasingly unremitting exhaustion," she added. "I couldn't feel my bum or left leg on my horse. The proprioception issues, inability to sit still, spasms, twitches. Jerks. Dystonia increased. I just laughed and thought getting older is impossible!" she continued. "But it was ms and it got too big and I had to take a break until now." Though she said she's still "at the beginning" of her return to riding, she said she "cannot stop smiling" about it. "I finally have the white unicorn I cannot believe is in my life and I want to rise to the occasion," she explained, before adding that she was "still wearing the same shirt from 30 years ago" in her recent photo with Nibbles. The actress, 48, revealed her MS diagnosis in 2018. At the time, she estimated she'd been living with the disease for about 15 years. Selma last posted about finding the strength for a "slow" day of riding back in August.

Trey Songz released from police custody after altercation at AFC Championship Game
Trey Songz was released by Kansas City Police on Monday, Jan. 25, after he was arrested at Arrowhead Stadium during the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. TMZ reports the singer got into an altercation with police officers who approached the singer and his friends after other fans complained the group refused to wear masks, per stadium coronavirus policy. Trey and his entourage reportedly continued refusing to wear masks when security asked them to, so security sent police to deal with the situation. Law enforcement officials tell the outlet Trey also refused to mask up when asked by the officers. They say he then punched one of the cops and put him in a headlock — both moves are visible in TMZ's video of the incident. He was reportedly arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. Sources close to Trey say he believes one of the officers "had it in for him long before the altercation" and that he was "immediately aggressive" when they interacted.

Dale Moss says 'there's no one person to blame' for Clare Crawley split
Dale Moss spoke out again about his split from former fiancee, Clare Crawley, on social media on Monday, Jan. 25, saying there was "no one person to blame" for the breakup. After describing his difficult few weeks in a series of Instagram Story posts (via Page Six), Dale, whose recent split announcement blindsided Clare, told his followers: "Building a relationship, in general, is tough, especially when you're doing it in the public eye, and the media will take things and run with them. People will spread lies or always want to point the finger, but the fact of the matter is, there's no one person to blame in this situation." Fingers have been pointing at Dale, though. He was recently implicated in cheating allegations. And it probably didn't help matters that Clare slammed his "mutual" breakup announcement by saying their split was news to her. The former couple got engaged last year after meeting on the set of "The Bachelorette."

And so far, Lori's dad, Steve Harvey, seems to approve of the relationship — though as he said on his show last week, he's still keeping a fatherly "eye on" Michael. "I still got my eye on him," he added, "I mean, I like him, but like I say to all of them, 'I might like you, I might approve of you, but I got a thumb-size section of my heart filled with nothing but pure hatred for your (expletive). In a tweet proclaiming, "we are really blind," on Friday, Jan. 22 — amid fan chatter about having missed Zayn's Arabic "Khai" tattoo — the fan shared a screenshot of a collage of photos Gigi shared on Instagram last fall. The blurry, Christmas-prep pics showed Khai's name written out in what looks like a flower pot gift beneath the tree. Gigi quietly revealed her new daughter's name last week when she added "Khai's mom" to her Instagram bio.
Seth Rogen takes aim at Ted Cruz in lengthy Twitter battle
Seth Rogen's spent much of the past few days sparring with Ted Cruz on Twitter — and he's not holding back, nor is the Texas Senator. The social media war began after Cruz tweeted that President Joe Biden's plan to return the U.S. to the Paris Climate Accord "indicates he's more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh," to which Rogen replied, "F— off, you fascist." Things only went downhill from there. After Rogen accused Cruz of encouraging "a white supremacist insurrection," at the Capitol on Jan. 6., by spreading debunked reports about who won the presidential election, Cruz slammed Rogen as nothing more than "angry Hollywood celebrity" who doesn't support union workers. Rogen responded by pointing out that as an actor, he's actually a member of four unions. Later, when Cruz posted something unrelated about loving the movie "Fantasia" as a kid, Rogen commented, "everyone who made that film would hate you." This, in turn, inspired Cruz post that Rogen was acting "like a Marxist with Tourette's," to which the actor replied that he has a "very mild case" of the illness," and knows firsthand that, "VERY few cases of Tourette's manifest in uncontrollable swearing." Cruz then dismissed Rogen as "a moron." Rogen responded, "Your lies got people killed. You have blood on your hands." As celebs including Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Billy Eichner chimed in to defend Rogen, the actor posted a request that the argument not be written off "as a Twitter feud." "@tedcruz tried to overthrow our government," Rogen write. "He inspired a deadly mob to storm the Capitol. And I think that deserves ridicule. So f— him."
