Engagement rumors hit Sharon Stone and her Italian boyfriend
Is Sharon Stone engaged? Not quite. During a sunny beach hang with her boyfriend, Italian entrepreneur Angelo Boffa, in Miami last week, the "Basic Instinct" star was spotted wearing some serious bling on her left ring finger. According to Celebitchy, the sparkler appears to be an emerald-cut diamond set on a platinum band. A rep tells People, however, that the bauble is not an engagement ring. Sharon, 60, and Angelo, 41, were first spotted together in January, when they shared a kiss at a screening of her new HBO series, "Mosaic." Neither Sharon nor her rep have commented on the ring. Sharon has been married twice before (and has also called off two engagements). She's the mother of three sons.

Has Cameron Diaz 'retired' from acting?
What seemed like a break from acting for Cameron Diaz could actually be a permanent situation. In a new interview with Metro, Cameron's pal and "The Sweetest Thing" co-star, Selma Blair, says Cameron is over making movies altogether. "I had lunch with Cameron the other day. We were reminiscing about ['The Sweetest Thing']. I would have liked to do a sequel, but Cameron's retired from acting. She's like, 'I'm done,'" Selma said. "I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films. She has a pretty great life. I don't know what it would take to bring her back. She's happy." Selma quickly walked back on her comments. "Guys please, I was making a joke in an interview," she tweeted. "CAMERON DIAZ is NOT retiring from ANYTHING. And for more breaking news: I am NOW retiring from being Cameron Diaz's spokesperson." Cameron, who's focused on writing books since her last films, 2014's "Sex Tape" and "Annie," opened up about why she'd stopped making movies while participating in a panel at the Goop Wellness Summit last June. "I just went, 'I can't really say who I am to myself.' Which is a hard thing to face up to," she said at the time. "I felt the need to make myself whole."
Ellen Pompeo claps back at Twitter trolls over 'Grey's' firings
A Deadline report suggesting Ellen Pompeo's "Grey's Anatomy" salary is the reason two actresses on the show got canned fueled a negative exchange between Ellen and some of the show's fans over the weekend. According to the report, Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw won't be returning to "Grey's" in part because of the $575,000 per episode Ellen currently pulls in, according to the Daily Mail. That adds up to about $20 million a year — a dramatic increase from what she had been earning. She was also reportedly given a signing a bonus and other perks as part of the contract. When Ellen defended Sarah and Jessica amid a storm of negative comments about the producers' decision not to bring them back after the current season, fans turned on Ellen. "We R grateful all of you are so passionate but if you knew these two women the way I know them they would not approve of all this nastiness," she wrote at one point. "I really respect you and your work, Ellen, but I think your statements are coming a little late and are not helping the situation, even less so with you referring to them as 'these women,'" sniffed one Twitter user. "People are unhappy and justifiably so. @sarahdrew & @JessicaCapshaw deserve some respect." Others posted similar comments, calling the firings an "injustice." Ellen responded by seemingly threatening to quit Twitter. "Please don't accuse me of being disrespectful it doesn't matter what I say nothing I say is ok so I won't say anything at all anymore," she wrote. Both Jessica and Sarah's Twitter pages, meanwhile, appear to be full of praise for their work on the show.

Mike Fisher teases Carrie Underwood about her huge 'Idol' hair
Carrie Underwood's 2005 "American Idol" win kickstarted her career, but she might prefer to forget certain things about it — like the size of her hair. Unfortunately, the singer's husband, Mike Fisher, isn't about to let her block out that minor detail. "Happy birthday to an incredible wife and an amazing mom with killer hair!" he joked on Instagram on her birthday on Saturday, March 10, adding, "All kidding aside you're a blessing to Izzy and I everyday! Love you @carrieunderwood." Carrie was quick to reply, asking, "You just can't let some things go, can ya? Hey, you marry a girl from the South, you get a lifetime subscription to Elnett [hairspray]…mmmkay?" The singer is currently recording her sixth studio album for Capitol Records, according to the Daily Mail.
Caitlyn Jenner: Donald Trump has set the transgender community back 20 years
After supporting Donald Trump during his campaign, Caitlyn Jenner seems to have flipped her position entirely. Speaking to Newsweek on Thursday, March 8, she slammed the current administration for being "the worst ever" when it comes to looking after the rights and wellbeing of transgender people. "They've set our community back 20 years, easily," she said, according to the Daily Mail. "It's going to be hard to change, but we've been through these types of things before and we'll continue to fight it." Declaring that the president needs to "do a better job when it comes to equality," she explained: "We're all Americans. I think of it this way: We have diversity in mankind, humankind. We have diversity all over the place, diversity in the way people look, diversity in religion, diversity in skin color. Wouldn't it be a dull world if everybody was the same?" Given her initial praise for Donald Trump, whom she previously said "seems to be very much for women" and "seems very much behind the LGBT community," it came as no surprise when social media users took umbrage at her latest remarks. "Caitlyn Jenner sat there and championed Trump and now is disappointed?" asked one user. "I cannot tell you how done I am with this woman."
Joy Behar is still being pressured to issue a public apology about Pence commet
Neither ABC nor Joy Behar seem interested in offering a public apology for a remark the host of "The View" made about Mike Pence's devout Christianity, but that hasn't stemmed the tide of complaints coming from the vice president's Christian cohorts. According to the New York Post, ABC has received "tens of thousands" of formal complaints about Joy's comment, which she has said was meant to be a joke. "It's one thing to talk to Jesus. It's another thing when Jesus talks to you. That's called mental illness, if I'm not correct, hearing voices," she said during a conversation with Omarosa in which Omarosa said Mike Pence "think Jesus tell him things." Although Disney exec Bob Iger said during a shareholder meeting that Joy privately called the vice president to apologize, both she and the network are feeling increasingly pressured to issue a public statement. "ABC is doing absolutely nothing about this," a source at the network told Fox News. Joy's comment has reportedly not been reviewed by the Editorial Standards and Practices department at ABC News.
Katie Couric hopes Matt Lauer is 'trying to understand his behavior and why it was so wrong'
Katie Couric is still trying to wrap her brain around the revelations about Matt Lauer's alleged sexual misconduct that surfaced last year. "I hope he's trying to figure out and understand his behavior and why he did it and why it was so wrong," she told a room full of women at TheWrap's Power Women Breakfast in Austin, Texas, on Sunday, March 11. "It's shocking, honestly, and disturbing, disorienting, disheartening — all of those d-words." Katie, who's said she was shocked to discover her on-air partner of 15 years allegedly harassed multiple women at "Today," also pointed out that others regularly use their high-ranking positions in the way Matt allegedly did. "I think he's not the only one who behaves in this way. People all over the place… have participated in this kind of behavior, that have used their power in an exploitative and unacceptable way," she said. "It's been an important experience for me because I never faced this kind of treatment. I was one of the lucky ones — I think I am harrassable and I'm not in one sense, and I think it is because I was in a position of power early in my career." Matt, who's now going through a divorce, was fired on Nov. 29, 2017.
Bobby Brown offers to help victim of alleged Nick Gordon assault
As Nick Gordon faces the backlash from his recent domestic violence arrest, Bobby Brown, who staged his first event for the Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House organization earlier this month. is reaching out to try to help Nick's girlfriend, Laura Leal. "I personally would like to extend my hand to Ms. Leal and offer her services through our organization," he tells The Blast. "I do not want to see any more families destroyed at the hands of domestic violence and I do not want any more women to suffer like my daughter did." Since Bobbi Kristina Brown died, her father has alleged Nick, with whom she was living at the time, was responsible for her death. Nick was arrested over the weekend after Laura claimed he hit her while she was driving him home from a bar.
