Alan Jackson turned 60 on Oct. 17. Alan — who released a song called "The Older I Get" last year — was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame earlier this year.

Madonna turned 60 on Aug. 16 and celebrated her big birthday by hosting a massive fundraiser through Facebook for her Raising Malawi foundation. "I have an unwavering commitment to providing vulnerable children with a loving home. For my birthday, I can think of no better gift than connecting my global family with this beautiful country and the children who need our help most," the superstar told the Associated Press. "Every dollar raised will go directly to meals, schools, uniforms and health care. I want to come together with my friends, fans and supporters to change the lives of Malawian children and let them know they are nurtured, protected and loved."
Angela Bassett was born on the same day as Madonna: Aug. 16, 1958. "As long as I can keep doing what I want to do, I'm fine with it," she told AARP of turning 60. "I just don't want to slow down. It's important to surround yourself with good people, interesting people, young people, young ideas. Go places, learn new stuff. Look at the world with wonder — don't be tired about it." Clearly whatever she's doing to slow the aging process is working!
Alec Baldwin turned 60 on April 3. He celebrated his big day by professing his love to his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, in the caption of a photo of her on Instagram. "On my 60th birthday, I want to express my bottomless gratitude for this woman who has given me a life so filled with love," wrote the actor. The following month, the couple welcomed their fourth child together.
Ellen DeGeneres turned 60 on Jan. 26. She celebrated with a star-studded birthday bash. A-list guests included Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, The Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Jennifer Lawrence, Chrissy Teigen, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West, Bruno Mars, Amy Schumer, Melissa McCarthy and Olivia Munn while performers included Pink, Pharrell Williams, Diddy, French Montana and Melissa Etheridge.
Gary Oldman turned 60 on March 21. "I'm not a super birthday person," he told W magazine in the months leading up to his big day. "I'm happy to have a little party, I'm happy to have a small dinner to celebrate my 60th birthday. And then, beyond that, I don't wanna know what date it is. I have no interest in being 61, 62, 63; I could not care less."
Michelle Pfeiffer celebrated her 60th birthday on April 29. That didn't stop her from totally owning "Ant-Man and the Wasp," which opened in theaters just two months later.

Annette Bening turned 60 on May 29. "Aging right now, in the culture we're in? There are some crazy ideas out there, and a lot of pressure is put on women, and men too," she told WebMD not long after her big birthday. "So everyone has to handle it in his or her own way. Certainly, being a public person, it can be tricky sometimes. I don't think there's any moral high ground for anyone who does, or doesn't do, plastic surgery or fillers."
Funnyman Drew Carey celebrated his 60th on May 23. He spent his big birthday on the set of "The Price Is Right," which he's hosted since 2007. "Yep, hate to admit it: [I'm] 60 years old," he said as the cameras rolled.
"Frasier" alum Bebe Neuwirth will celebrate her 60th birthday on Dec. 31.
Holly Hunter celebrated her 60th birthday on March 20. "I'm working on 40 years of being an actress and of course I'm proud of that," she told The Guardian in the months leading up to her big birthday. "But also with that has come the price to be paid for being a female in the movie industry. It's a hard tightrope to navigate and then to be an older woman, it has its own very special challenges. But I've worked even when people didn't know that I was working. Sometimes it's very difficult to do a movie that's good and then have that movie make it to the light of day."
Holly Hunter's "Here and Now" co-star, Tim Robbins, also turned 60 this year — on Oct. 16. Coincidentally, on the pilot episode of their HBO drama, which debuted earlier this year, Holly's character throws Tim's character a 60th birthday party.
