Why Lady Gaga is so crazy about her new beau
When Lady Gaga told her "little monsters" that she and her new man Michael Polasky "had so much fun in Miami" during the Super Bowl — and even shared a photo of herself in his lap — the romantic reveal came as a surprise to fans who've gotten used to Lady G. keeping things somewhat under wraps in the love department. But as E! News points out, the new romance comes just ahead of the release of a new video for Gaga's first solo recording in three years, "Stupid Love," which suggests Michael's only fueling more creativity for the singer. Michael, by the way, is hardly a slouch, himself, in the working world. The Harvard grad heads up the $600 million Parker Foundation and sits on the board of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. All of these things seem to be compelling for Gaga. "She's really into him!" gushes one insider, adding that the two "are opposites of each other, which all-around is a good thing for her." The other key point? "He definitely cares a lot about Gaga," the source tells E! In return, the insider adds, she is most certainly "crazy about him."

Ben Affleck found working on 'The Way Back' 'cathartic'
Part of recovery is asking for help — and Ben Affleck isn't afraid of doing just that. As Ben's "The Way Back" costar Will Ropp recently told People, "everybody was very transparent that he was in rehab at the beginning of the film." Will added that Ben used "a sober liaison" to get him to and from the set and rehab for work. Ben plays a recovering alcoholic in the film — something he's been going through publicly in real life. His character is also dealing with a divorce and the impact that has on a family, which Ben also understood firsthand. "You try to bring your own life experience to the parts that you can use your imagination on the other parts," he explained. For Ben, the experience of using "genuine emotion" on the set was "cathartic," he said. Added the star: "The potential for a movie like this is to really inspire somebody, to move somebody,
Mandy Moore shuts down talk about her marriage to Ryan Adams, urges press to focus on her music
Mandy Moore wants to make sure her new album, "Silver Landings," doesn't become a platform for more talk about her painful marriage to Ryan Adams. In a recent interview with the New York Times, Mandy, who has accused her ex of emotional abuse and sexual misconduct, gave a clear picture of why she needs to be able to move on publicly in order to do so privately. "I just don't want this thing to be about him," she said (via JustJared). "He's taken so much for so long from so many people… I can promise you he gets satisfaction being talked about in any capacity. I just know that about him. I haven't spoken to him in, I don't know, two years or something, but just knowing him as well as I know him, he really gets off on being talked about." She ended the discussion by saying she's "done with" having him "take up so much of my life and my time." Mandy's new album is due out Friday, March 6.

Kanye West invites Paris Fashion Week goers to show with rattlesnake eggs, sage
Kanye West is nothing if not daring when it comes to his Yeezy shows and his Paris Fashion Week show was no exception. Guests began tweeting about the invitations to show as soon as they arrived in the mail — and they were hard to miss, thanks to the rattlesnake eggs and sage bundles they came with. According to the Daily Mail, critics initially complained about the implications of the eggs, having assumed they were real. It turned out they were not — they were simply meant to represent Kanye and Kim Kardashian West's new property in Wyoming. The show itself reportedly started almost 25 minutes late and features "crop tops, puffer coats and wide-legged pants in muted hues," according to BET. The designer's daughter, North West, was on hand as well — she even performed an unreleased rap song.
Elisabeth Moss jokes about those Tom Cruise engagement rumors
For once and for all, sharing the same religion and profession with someone does not make you their significant other. That's the message Elisabeth Moss delivered on the Monday, March 2, edition of "Watch What Happens Live" when the actress was asked if the rumors she was engaged to Tom Cruise were true. She looked confused for a moment, sparking Andy Cohen to ask (via People), "How did you miss that?" He went on to joke that he "would have DMd" Elisabeth out of excitement had the chatter been true. Apparently, he wasn't the only one. She said she caught wind of the rumors when friends asked her about it, saying, "I mainly got texts from people being like, 'I didn't know, why didn't you tell me?" She added: "[It was] just confusion from my friends, but mainly poking fun at it because obviously, they knew it wasn't true." Finally, she said she saw a photo of the person who was allegedly her. "I was like, 'I've never had that haircut,'" she quipped. "Like, it was supposed to be a picture of the two of us and I was like, 'I've never styled my hair like that. It's clearly not me.'" Finally, Elisabeth's costar pointed out the bright side of the whole thing: "You know you've made it when people are making up who you're marrying," said Aldis Hodge. Elisabeth laughed. "Thank you!" she said. "I'll take that."
Eva Amurri's husband won't be in the delivery room for the birth of their child
Susan Sarandon's daughter Eva Amurri has announced her estranged husband Kyle Martino won't join her in the delivery room when their daughter arrives. "Birth is so emotional, and so I knew early on that having Kyle there wasn't going to feel right to me," Eva posted on her blog this week (via Page Six). "Our intimacy level has totally changed now that we aren't a couple, obviously, and in order to really let go and allow labor to progress (especially with a Home Birth) it's so important to feel completely at ease in your body and support." The former couple also share 5-year-old daughter Marlowe Mae and 3-year-old son Major James. They announced they were expecting baby No. 3 in September. In November, they shared with fans that they were calling time on their marriage. Eva is reportedly due "any day now," according to Page Six.
