Miley Cyrus gets covered in fake blood for a music video shoot with Dua Lipa
Miley Cyrus has yet to announce a release date for her forthcoming studio album, "She Is Miley Cyrus," but something tells us the track she recently recorded with Dua Lipa could be the next single — it might be ready sooner than later, too. On Thursday night, the singers were both photographed at what JustJared reports was a music video shoot staged somewhere in Brooklyn. Photos from the shoot show Miley covered in fake blood, while Dua opted for a Chrome Hearts mini dress with a toothy version of the "Rocky Horror" lips logo on the chest — a combo that feels more than a little ghoulish, given the October season. After what some outlets are saying was the final night of shooting, Miley and Dua reportedly headed to the Bowery Hotel together. Miley's first single from her new album, "Midnight Sky," which she's said was about personal growth and evolution, came out Aug. 14. She released the cover of Blondie's "Heart of Glass" that she performed at last month's iHeartRadio Festival earlier this week. No word yet on what she recorded with Dua (or Billy Idol, who also makes a cameo on the album), but with all that fake blood, we wouldn't be surprised if it drops just in time for Halloween.

Donald Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star really can't catch a break. Around 5 a.m. Friday morning — shortly after the president announced he and Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19 — a man dressed up like The Incredible Hulk showed up at the iconic walkway with a pickaxe and smashed it to bits, according to TMZ's law enforcement sources. The vandalism reportedly incurred at least $5,000 worth of damage and the star is expected to be replaced by the Hollywood Historic Trust, the nonprofit group that handles replacing damaged stars. They've had their full with this one since Trump took office, as evidenced by Vanity Fair's 2018 timeline of the "abused star." In addition to multiple graffiti attacks, the landmark has on separate occasions been spray painted black, sledgehammered, enclosed within a miniature border wall, covered with a bag of feces, covered with a golden toilet, covered with Pride stickers, covered with protest stickers and covered with actual protesters who staged a die-in on the star, among other things.

Kate Beckinsale is shutting down critics who've taken aim at Chrissy Teigen for her candid post about the loss of her baby, Jack, halfway through her pregnancy. In a long Instagram post, Kate, 47, first called out the critics. "As if there's some protocol during soul-scouring calamity that, if not observed, emboldens people who do not know her or her family to say how she should be handling the unimaginable," she wrote. She then revealed that she, too, once suffered a pregnancy loss when she was about halfway along after having kept the pregnancy a secret. "I absolutely collapsed inside and no one would have known," she wrote, sharing how the "grief, shame and shock" that follows "can be the loneliest, most soul destroying period" of a woman's life. She went on to say she thinks, "it's an honour to be allowed into another persons grief, especially with a subject like this …" Before signing off, she sent "so much love" to Chrissy and John Legend's family, and "to the women and couples who have kept it quiet and suffered." Finally, she addressed Chrissy directly, thanking her, "for making sure it is abundantly clear how devastating this is …," and urged IG users to, "let the grieving decide what's right for them." Kate added: "Send support or keep quiet . This is a really hard time to bear .Blessings and hugs to all x."

Yep, for reasons yet unknown, Chris Evans seems to have had a visceral reaction to news the comedy icon was randomly sucker punched in the head, knocking him to the ground, near his apartment in New York City on Thursday morning. A rep for Rick, 67, told THR Friday that the star went to an area hospital to get checked out after the attack but is now "fine" and "grateful for everyone's thoughts and well wishes." Chris, meanwhile, is … not OK. "My blood is boiling," he tweeted Friday, sharing a link to a story about the incident. "Find this man. You don't touch Rick Moranis." Noted.

To showcase her Fall 2020 collection, which includes a capsule line of menswear made for people of any gender to enjoy, the singer got some help from stars who reflect the wide range of body types, sizes, ages and colors the pieces were designed for. "When I imagine something, I imagine everyone that I know and love being a part of it," Rihanna says in the show (via Vanity Fair). I want to make stuff that I can see on the people that I know, and they come in all different shapes and sizes, races, religions…I really care that they are a part of what I do." That approach translates to an amazing solo dance moment from a blue fishnet-clad Lizzo, a sexy contribution from Demi Moore, cameos by the likes of "RuPaul's Drag Race" alums, Jaida Essence Hall, Shea Couleé and Gigi Goode. Cara Delevingne, Bella Hadid, Normani, and Paris Hilton show off new pieces as well, while performances from Travis Scott, Rosalia, Bad Bunny and Miguel keep the energy rolling. Alas, fans hoping for a peek at the long-anticipated follow-up to "Anti" will be disappointed — the show is decidedly not about Rihanna's music. But she did tell the Associated Press this week that she's still making new music while trying to figure out how to have "fun" with it at a time when, as she puts it, "everything is so heavy." Kelly Ripa celebrated the big 5-0 on Friday with plenty of love from her family. The "Live!" host's husband of 24 years, Mark Consuelos, is in Canada filming "Riverdale," according to People, but he took a break to send his lady some sweet b-day wishes as she kicks off a new decade. Sharing a handful of pics of Kelly, the actor wrote, "Happy birthday to my little ray of sunshine," adding, "I love you, sexy." The couple's daughter Lola Consuelos chimed in, too, posting a pic of Kelly inspecting the card on a massive array of white flowers as a bunch of balloons floated behind her. Mariah Carey stopped by "The Daily Show" (virtually) on Thursday night to discuss her new memoir, "The Meaning of Mariah Carey," and album, "The Rarities," and she was as open with host Trevor Noah as she is in the new book. Asked about an incident from childhood she recounts in the memoir, in which she was locked in a room at a birthday party and repeatedly called a racial slur by the other kids, she admitted it was a "very harrowing experience," according to Billboard. "I don't know that I ever felt the need to talk to anybody about it because I don't feel like I'm the only person in the world that ever went through something traumatic. But that was very specific," she said. The singer may not have needed to talk about the experience, either. As she told Trevor when he complimented the sense of humor in her writing, "I definitely go to the place of humor as opposed to, like, 'Oh, I'm so sad, I'm crying and depressed." She added: "That's why labels on people and 'Oh, you're this and you're that' or whatever…It's hard. You know that it's difficult, I don't have to tell you. But…yeah, I would rather laugh than cry." Hilary Swank praises the Academy's new diversity rules decades after winning an Oscar for playing a trans man
Over the past few months, the Academy has introduced new diversity and representation standards into the eligibility requirements for Oscar consideration. "Away" star Hilary Swank is all for the new rules, which kick in gradually starting in 2022, go into full effect in 2024 and affect both on and offscreen personnel. Hilary, who won her first Oscar for playing a transgender man in 1999's "Boys Don't Cry," recently sat down with Variety to share her thoughts on the new rules and what they represent for the industry. She was quick to point out that a trans person would have been a better casting choice for the role, had that even seemed like a possibility at the time. "I mean, trans people weren't really walking around in the world saying, 'Hey, I'm trans,'" she reasons. "Twenty one years later, not only are trans people having their lives and living, thankfully, [although] we still have a long way to go in their safety and and their inclusivity, but we now have a bunch of trans actors who would obviously be a lot more right for the role and have the opportunity to actually audition for the role." "Boys Don't Cry" was inspired by the true story of a transgender man named Brandon Teena who was raped in a hate crime in the early '90s. His attackers — who were questioned about the rape by police, but not arrested — murdered the 21-year-old a week later. It was a rare plot in the '90s, but there hasn't exactly been an explosion of movies about trans-bashing since then. "In order to create change and to really make people tell stories that represent the world in which we live in — which is a colorful world full of all different types of people — rules like that need to be set," Hilary said. "There are so many stories in my 29 years of being in this business that have been told from a white straight male's point-of-view, and it does a great disservice to people who are living in the world because they don't get to see themselves represented on the screen in a way that makes them feel seen and heard."
Tekashi 6ix9ine was reportedly hospitalized in Florida this week
Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was reportedly overdosed on diet pills and caffeine earlier this week, leaving him hospitalized. The 24-year-old allegedly told The Shade Room he took double the recommended starting dose of the weight loss drug Hydroxycut and later had coffee. He said the combination elevated his heart rate and caused him to "sweat excessively," after which he apparently sought medical attention. According to the outlet, 69 gained a large amount of weight after his April release from federal prison, where he was serving a two-year sentence on multiple charges including racketeering.
Lisa Marie Presley's son Benjamin Keough laid to rest at Graceland
Lisa Marie Presley's son, Benjamin Keough, has been laid to rest in the family plot at Elvis Presley's Graceland. The estate posted a statement on Facebook Thursday that read: "Benjamin Storm Presley Keough was laid to rest in the Meditation Garden at Graceland with his family including his grandfather, Elvis Presley, great-grandmother, Gladys Presley, great-grandfather, Vernon Presley and great-great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley." According to the Daily Memphian, it was the first burial there since Elvis' grandmother was laid to rest in 1980. Benjamin reportedly took his own life in July after suffering from what a close friend described as a mix of depression, addiction issues and anxiety related to pressure associated with his last name. He was 27.
