At-home care
"The Mary Tyler Moore Show" legend Valerie Harper will not enter hospice care, despite recommendations from doctors, her husband revealed. Tony Cacciotti explained his decision in a July 23 Facebook post. "I have been told by doctors to put Val in Hospice care and I can't (because of our 40 years of shared commitment to each other) and I won't because of the amazing good deeds she has graced us with while she's been here on earth," he wrote. "We will continue going forward as long as the powers above allow us, I will do my very best in making Val as comfortable as possible." Valerie, 79, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2013.

Pregnant!
No. 2 is on the way! Anne Hathaway revealed on Instagram on July 24 that she is expecting another child with husband Adam Shulman. The actress posted a black-and-white photo of her baby bump on Instagram, writing, "It's not for a movie…" She also hinted that she had fertility struggles. "For everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love." Anne and her husband are already parents to 3-year-old son Jonathan. Other stars who announced pregnancies this week? Country music singer Thomas Rhett and wife Lauren, and "Torn" singer Natalie Imbruglia, who revealed she used a sperm donor to conceive.

Airplane incident
Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her family experienced some airplane turbulence before their flight ever took off: The family, according to Kim and daughter Brielle, were kicked off a Delta flight bound for Atlanta. Page Six cited a since-deleted tweet from Brielle which read, "[An employee] at gate 27 delta LAX just kicked my WHOLE FAMILY OFF the flight to ATL bc we were waiting on my dad with our service dog to finish going thru security & kJ & kash started crying bc they thought we left him and Kaia was literally S–TTING AND HE KICKED US OFF!!!! WTF." Kim shamed Delta on social media and indicated the police were getting involved. Her plea, though, didn't garner a lot of sympathy, as many accused the reality TV family of making up the notion that their dog is actually a "service dog."
Young love
It was indeed a happy birthday for Bindi Irwin. On July 24, the daughter of late "Crocodile Hunter" star Steve Irwin and wife Terri celebrated not only her 21st birthday but her engagement to longtime boyfriend Chandler Powell. "July 24th 2019 ❤️ On my birthday I said 'yes' and 'forever' to the love of my life," the wildlife conservationist and Season 21 "Dancing With the Stars" winner captioned a slideshow of engagement photos on Instagram — including a close-up of her stunning lab-created diamond ring. "Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness. I'm so looking forwarding to spending our forever together as your wife. Here's to a lifetime of friendship, purpose and unconditional love — now let's get married already!" Chandler indicated the two got engaged, fittingly, at Australia Zoo, which is also where they met. "I love you and I'm so excited to create a lifetime of magical moments together," he commented on Bindi's social media photos.
"Epic" legal win
Janice Dickinson won an "epic amount" after settling a defamation lawsuit with Bill Cosby's insurance company. Although the exact dollar figure is confidential, the model's lawyer said it was a "very large" settlement. The former model claimed the disgraced comedy star directed his lawyer to slander Janice and call her "a liar" after she claimed he sexually assaulted her. The "Cosby Show" star fought the lawsuit, but AIG, his insurance company, chose to settle despite its notorious client's objections. "Truthfully, a settlement is a victory and certainly a measure of justice and helps me sleep better, but in reality, nothing can ever erase the experience and memories of an assault," Janice said afterward. "Jail is where he belongs, but there aren't enough years left to pay for what he has done to so very many, many women."
Split?
After two years of dating, "Riverdale" co-stars (and on-screen couple) Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart have split, multiple outlets reported. Or have they? According to E! News, it was a "very messy breakup" but the two are "currently on much better terms." The duo were friendly with each during a panel discussion at Comic-Con on July 21, though largely avoided one another at other Comic-Con events, multiple outlets reported. Us Weekly further reported that Cole was overheard telling someone at Entertainment Weekly's annual Comic-Con party that he and Lili had split. As speculation built, the duo broke their silence, insinuating that maybe they didn't break up after all. "BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know s–t," Lili wrote on Instagram next to a W magazine cover featuring herself and Cole, who posted the same image with the caption, "UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of 'reliable sources' to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult." For what it's worth, the July 25 W cover story — for which the pair did separate interviews two months ago — included a note from the writer saying the stars had broken up.
Case closed
Meek Mill's 2008 gun conviction case was officially thrown out on July 24. A three-judge panel unanimously agreed to toss the conviction, explaining that the rapper deserves a new trial and a new judge. Judge Genece Brinkley had previously presided over the case, but many felt she had it out for the music star. "As of right now I'm not on probation and I am not a felon anymore," Meek celebrated on Twitter. "I'd like to thank the Pennsylvania Superior Court judges for their wisdom and their transparency in reviewing my case, unanimously overturning my conviction and granting me a new trial. The past 11 years have been mentally and emotionally challenging, but I'm ecstatic that justice prevailed." TMZ reported that it's "highly, highly unlikely" prosecutors will refile the case and retry Meek since the case is 12 years old and the main witness in the original trial turned out to be a dirty cop.
'Serious'
Could there be wedding bells in the future for notorious playboy Leonardo DiCaprio? The 44-year-old was first linked to 22-year-old model Camila Morrone in January 2018, and they haven't been shy about their romance. Now, though, a source tells People magazine that they could in it for the long haul. "They seem pretty serious. It's definitely not a casual relationship. Camila spends a lot of time at his house," the source said. "Camila is long known as Leo's girlfriend. And Leo introduced her to both of his parents long ago."
Swan song
The reboot of "Will and Grace" is coming to an end. On July 25, the show's executive producers confirmed that the sitcom will finish in 2020 after a three-season run following an original eight-season run. "We think of the 'Will & Grace' reboot episodes the way Karen Walker thinks of martinis — 51 is not enough, 53 is too many," the executives said in a joint statement. "That is why, after consulting with the cast, we all have decided this will be the final season of 'Will & Grace.'"
