To mark the occasion, Wonderwall.com is rounding up some of the craziest and most memorable moments from the show since it launched in 1992. First up, a more recent wild moment from 2014! Zac later posed for a pic with Jessica Alba and Rita before putting his shirt back on. Keep reading to see more of the craziest Movie Awards moments!

"The Notebook" stars (and real-life loves) Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling gave fans a glimpse into their steamy real-life make-out sessions when they accepted the award for Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards in 2005. The pair reenacted a hot and heavy moment to the tune of Maroon 5's "She Will Be Loved," another sign of the times.

At the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, Kristen Stewart proved she was a lot like her "Twilight" alter ego Bella Swan when she revealed her klutzy tendencies during the telecast. While accepting the award for Best Female Performance, Kristen sent her golden popcorn prize flying across the stage when she accidentally dropped it.

It was a prank that didn't look like it went over very well with Eminem. Sacha Baron Cohen dressed as alter ego Bruno at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards and dropped into the audience while wearing a thong… and fell right into the rapper's lap. Although the standoff seemed tense for viewers, who assumed Eminem was furious, he later admitted he was in on the joke.
While there have been swoon-worthy kisses — like Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in 2005 — the MTV Movie Awards has provided some not-so-hot kisses as well. Back in 2007, comedians Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen locked lips during an uncomfortable moment while accepting the Best Kiss prize for ""Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby."
Tom Cruise and Jennifer Lopez dancing together? Only at the MTV Movie Awards. The odd couple hit the stage together during the 2010 telecast when Tom embodied his alter ego from "Tropic Thunder," Hollywood mogul Les Grossman. As Les got down to the grooves of Ludacris, J.Lo joined him on stage to sing and dance to her tune "Get Right."
Reese Witherspoon used her golden popcorn prize moment to make a statement at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. After winning the MTV Generation Award, the actress took a stand on rising up in Hollywood, reminding girls that it is "possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show." She also added, "When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed." Considering the era, it was pretty clear her points were directed at a certain infamous reality star, but less clear was the reason for her outburst.
When Scarlett Johansson presented Sandra Bullock with the Generation Award at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, viewers weren't really expecting what happened next. In an homage to the live lip-locks the show has become known for, Scarlett and Sandra smooched in advance of Sandra's big speech at the event.
Jim Carrey was hardly recognizable at the 1999 MTV Movie Awards. Dressed up as a long-haired, bearded man, he accepted his Best Male Performance MTV Movie Award for his work in "The Truman Show" in the hippie-inspired garb and in character. He even went so far as to give his speech — which included some vulgar shout-outs to women in the audience — as his Jim Morrison-esque alter ego.
While serving as the telecast's host, Lindsay Lohan broke into a surprise choreographed dance routine at the 2004 MTV Movie Awards.
Getting Channing Tatum to twerk for you? Jennifer Lopez is the luckiest lady! While accepting the Best Scared-As-S— Performance award for her work in the flick "The Boy Next Door" at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, J.Lo was given an unexpected treat by the men of "Magic Mike." Channing got down and did the dance move alongside his co-stars Adam Rodriguez, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello.
Selma Blair and Sarah Michelle Gellar's lip-lock in "Cruel Intentions" snagged them a golden popcorn prize at the 2000 MTV Movie Awards. Though the peck they went for on stage wasn't as hot and heavy as their movie kiss, the two still definitely raised eyebrows.
After winning Best Kiss for the third year in a row and failing to give the people what they wanted — a real-life kiss — "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart went a different route at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. "There's someone else in the audience who I just think will appreciate it a little more," Robert explained, getting Kristen's seal of approval before running into the audience and planting a smooch on Taylor Lautner to the delight of Twihards everywhere.
Kanye West's most infamous awards-show moment might have happened at the MTV Video Music Awards, but in 2013, Aubrey Plaza brought the moment to the channel's Movie Awards! The funny gal hopped on stage as Will Ferrell accepted his award for comic genius and attempted to strip him of the honor. The whole thing went down in true Aubrey fashion — incredibly awkwardly — but she did have the title of her then-latest flick, "The To Do List," written on her chest for some free publicity.
Despite catering to the film industry, the MTV Movie Awards still manage to squeeze in plenty of music. In 2008, there was even a crazy dance battle! Host Mike Myers started the show and, after a little convincing from Chris Brown, launched into an insane dancing competition between the two stars! And we have to say, Mike really held his own!
Leave it to the funny guys of Lonely Island — Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone — to deliver one of the most memorable moments of the 2016 MTV Movie Awards! The group were on hand to present Will Smith with the Generation Award and delivered some riveting renditions of a few classic Will tunes — including "Parents Just Don't Understand," "Summertime," the theme from "Men in Black" and "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It."
When Halle Berry graced the stage at the 2001 MTV Movie Awards, she did the audience a big favor! While joking about showing a lot of skin in her then-latest film "Swordfish," Halle convinced her co-presenters, Hugh Jackman and John Travolta, to show some of their own skin, resulting in this hilarious ab-filled moment.
"The Hangover" was a massive hit in 2010, so its stars were in attendance at the MTV Movie Awards that year. One of the more hysterical moments? When Ed Helms hopped on the piano to play "Stu's Song" from the film, accompanied by a tiger-print leotard-donning Ken Jeong!
