What you might not know about Jason Segel's contribution to "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is that he wasn't just the film's star, but also its writer. After wrapping the movie, Jason returned to TV as a cast member on "How I Met Your Mother" until 2014. But in 2009, Jason was back on the big screen alongside his "Sarah Marshall" co-star Paul Rudd in the comedy "I Love You, Man." He also joined the writing and production team for the 2010 college comedy "Get Him to the Greek." After appearing in films like "Bad Teacher" and voicing Vector in "Despicable Me," Jason turned into a triple threat when he wrote, produced and starred in the 2011 family comedy "The Muppets." Proving he could handle three hats at once, Jason did it again with the 2012 romantic comedy "The Five-Year Engagement" and the 2014 comedy "Sex Tape." After leaving "HIMYM," Jason made another major career leap by publishing his first of several young adult novels, "Nightmares!" with co-author Kirsten Miller, which led to a series that landed them on The New York Times bestsellers list. Not long after, he starred in one of his first dramatic roles in the 2015 biopic "The End of the Tour," which earned him critical acclaim. In 2017, we saw Jason in the indie mystery drama "The Discovery." Up next for the multi-talented star is the April 2018 drama "Come Sunday" co-starring Lakeith Stanfield and Chiwetel Ejiofor. As for his personal life, Jason's rumored to be dating artist Alexis Mixter.

Kristen Bell stars as the title character in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." Sarah's an actress who dumps her boyfriend, Peter, for a hot rock 'n' roll musician. Things get weird when her ex shows up in Hawaii at the same hotel she's staying at with her new beau.
A lot has happened in Kristen Bell's life since her starring role in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." The former "Veronica Mars" actress (and "Gossip Girl" narrator) appeared in a series of comedies on both the big and small screens including "Couples Retreat," "You Again" and the TV series "House of Lies." One of her most exciting roles, however, came in 2013 when she voiced Anna in the Disney animated adventure "Frozen." Four years later, Kristen would land the part of Kiki in "Bad Moms" alongside her "Sarah Marshall" co-star Mila Kunis. Since 2016, Kristen's been a regular on the small screen in the award-winning comedy series "The Good Place" on which she plays Eleanor Shellstrop, a misbehaving woman who died and accidentally made it into heaven. Up next for Kristen is the big-screen comedy "Like Father" co-starring Seth Rogen. She'll also lend her voice to several upcoming animated films like "Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2" and "Frozen 2," which is due in theaters in 2019. Kristen's been married to actor Dax Shepard since 2013. They share two daughters.
Mila Kunis stars as Rachel, the hotel clerk who accidentally falls for Peter, in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." From the beginning, Rachel proves she's Peter's ally, especially when she hooks him up with an expensive suite, free of charge, so he doesn't look foolish in front of his ex-girlfriend.
When Mila Kunis wrapped "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," she couldn't have guessed the path her life would take. At the time, Mila was in a long-term relationship with former "Home Alone" star Macaulay Culkin, and although she'd been a beloved cast member on "That '70s Show" (and the voice of Meg on "Family Guy"), Mila hadn't yet found her breakout role. That changed in 2010 when Mila played Lily in "Black Swan" — a part that would earn her SAG Award and Golden Globe nominations. From there, Mila's fame skyrocketed. In 2011, she ended her romance with Macaulay and shortly after starred in the hit big-screen comedy "Ted." In 2013, she played wicked witch Theodora in "Oz the Great and Powerful," which earned her critical acclaim. Most recently, Mila starred in both "Bad Moms" and "A Bad Moms Christmas" as Amy while also continuing her voice work on "Family Guy." Up next for Mila is a starring role in the Aug. 3, 2018, comedy "The Spy Who Dumped Me." Mila married her "That '70s Show" co-star Ashton Kutcher in 2015. They have two children.
Russell Brand stars as Sarah's new rock 'n' roller boyfriend, Aldous Snow, in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." Aldous is sexy, adventurous and everything Sarah's ex-boyfriend, Peter, wasn't.
"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" was British stand-up comedian, actor and author Russell Brand's breakthrough film in the U.S., as it introduced a new wave of fans to his savage humor. In 2010 after a whirlwind romance, Russell married pop star Katy Perry. That same year, he reprised his "Sarah Marshall" character, rocker Aldous Snow, in the comedy "Get Him to the Greek" alongside Jonah Hill and voiced Dr. Nefario in the animated comedy "Despicable Me." Russell also published his second book in 2010, the memoir "My Booky Wook," which detailed his experiences with drug and sex addiction while working as a stand-up comedian. Sadly, in 2011, amidst great professional success (like his starring role in the rebooted comedy "Arthur"), Russell's relationship with Katy ended. The couple formally separated in 2011 and were divorced by 2012. The talented actor and comedian kept busy, starring in films like "Rock of Ages" alongside Tom Cruise and returned as Dr. Nefario in the 2013 sequel "Despicable Me 2." Russell continued writing and published additional books including "My Booky Wook 2," "Revolution" and "Recovery: Freedom From Our Addictions." Up next for Russell are roles in the comedy "Butterfingers" and the indie drama "The Fight." In 2017, Russell married a Brit he'd dated years earlier, lifestyle blogger and designer Laura Gallacher (seen here), the mother of his daughter, Mabel.
Jonah Hill stars as Matthew, a disgruntled waiter who dreams of becoming a music star, in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."
After co-starring in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" in 2008, Jonah Hill was on track to become the next big thing in Hollywood. Already recognized as one of the hottest new talents under 30 by Entertainment Weekly, Jonah — who'd starred in "Superbad" and "Knocked Up" the year before — continued his funny streak by appearing in comedies like "The Invention of Lying" and "Get Him to the Greek." He also voiced Snotlout in "How to Train Your Dragon" and Tighten in "Megamind." In 2011, Jonah flexed his dramatic acting muscles by starring in the sports biography "Moneyball" alongside Brad Pitt. The role earned Jonah his first Oscar nomination and catapulted his fame to new heights. While Jonah still starred in comedies (like "21 Jump Street" and its sequel, which he wrote and produced), he also took on powerful dramatic roles like Donnie Azoff in "The Wolf of Wall Street," earning his second Oscar nod. In 2016, Jonah starred alongside Miles Teller in the crime dramedy "War Dogs," which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. Jonah has two films premiering in 2018: "Don't Worry He Won't Get Far on Foot" and "The Beach Bum." The actor, who's slimmed down quite a bit in recent years, is also set to star in the upcoming drama "The Ballad of Richard Jewell." Jonah's been dating Erin Galpern since late 2017.
Paul Rudd stars as Chuck, aka "Kunu," the forgetful surfing instructor, in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."
One of the few stars of "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" who'd already had their breakout moment was Paul Rudd, the cute "nice guy" who caught our eye back in 1995 in the romantic comedy "Clueless." After playing Kunu in "Sarah Marshall," Paul made his writing debut with the film "Role Models" (in which he also starred). Following his success, Paul continued to star in a slew of hit comedies including "I Love You, Man," "Dinner For Schmucks," "Our Idiot Brother" and "Wanderlust." In 2012, he got serious in the romantic drama "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." Of course, that same year he starred in the popular comedy "This is 40," earning him a Critics' Choice Award nomination for best actor. Paul also took on popular TV roles over the years, including the part of Bobby Newport on "Parks and Recreation." In 2015, Paul added "superhero" to his resume when he landed the leading role in "Ant-Man." In 2017, Paul produced and starred in "Fun Mom Dinner" and also appeared on the rebooted Netflix comedy series "Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later." Up next for Paul in 2018 is the return of Ant-Man in the sequel "Ant-Man and the Wasp" as well as "Avengers: Infinity War." He'll also star in the war drama "The Catcher was a Spy" and the thriller "Mute." Paul's been married since 2003 to TV producer Julie Yaeger. They share two children.
Liz Cackowski and Bill Hader star as Liz and Brian Bretter in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." Brian is Peter's step-brother, who, along with wife Liz, tries to help Peter get out of his post-breakup rut.
Three years before Bill Hader appeared in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," he joined the cast of "Saturday Night Live" and became one of the most popular performers on the weekly sketch series. Known for characters like Stefon and impersonations like Vincent Price, James Carville, Al Pacino and Alan Alda, Bill remained on the hit show until May 2013. During that time he also appeared in films like "Pineapple Express," "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" and "Men in Black 3." Along with acting, Bill's also an acclaimed writer who's contributed to episodes of "SNL" as well as "Southpark" (he won his first Emmy in 2013 for his work as a producer on the show) and "Documentary Now!" (he also stars and produces). In 2016, Bill starred alongside Amy Schumer in her big-screen debut, "Trainwreck." In 2018, Bill returned to the small screen in the HBO comedy "Barry" — a series he writes and produces. As for his personal life, Bill and his wife of 12 years, writer-director Maggie Carrie, split in late 2017. They share three daughters.
Admittedly, Liz Cackowski had a minor role in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," but the talented writer and producer deserves an update. Like Bill Hader — who played her husband in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" — Liz previously worked on "Saturday Night Live," but as one of its writers. Other famous shows she's written for include "Community" and "Last Man on Earth" (on which she's also served as a co-producer). On the big screen, we've seen Liz act in films like "The To Do List" and "Neighbors." Since 2016, Liz has appeared as a supporting character on the award-winning comedy series "Speechless." Since 2010, Liz has been married to comedian-actor-director Akiva Schaffer. They share two children.
Jack McBrayer and Maria Thayer star as the sexually incompatible newlyweds Darald and Wyoma in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."
Notorious funnyman Jack McBrayer was making us laugh years before he appeared in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." From 2006 to 2013, Jack starred as Kenneth Parcell on the comedy series "30 Rock," a performance that earned him a SAG Award in 2009 and numerous nominations. On the big screen, we've seen Jack in films like "The To Do List" and "They Came Together." Jack's also lent his voice to many animated characters including Irving DuBois on "Phineas and Ferb," Wander on "Wander Over Yonder" and Clumsy Smurf in "Smurfs: The Lost Village." On the small screen, Jack's had recurring roles on shows like "Drunk History" and "The Middle." In 2018, he'll reprise his role as Fix-It Felix in "Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2."
After her hilarious performance as sex-crazed newlywed Wyoma in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," Maria Thayer landed guest spots on "30 Rock," "New Girl," "Arrested Development" and "The Mindy Project" (just to name a few). From 2011 to 2014, Maria had a recurring role on the TV action-comedy "Eagleheart." Since 2016, she's starred as Abbey Logan on the TV comedy "Those Who Can't." In 2018, we'll get to see Maria in a new light when she co-stars in the big-screen drama "Half Empty/Half Full."
Taylor Wily stars as Kemo, the kind-hearted hotel chef who's Rachel's supportive friend, in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."
Amazingly, Taylor Wily looks exactly the same in 2018 as he did in 2008 in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." The Honolulu-born actor, who's a former sumo wrestler and mixed martial artist, has been bringing his island charm to the small screen on "Hawaii Five-0," on which he plays Kamekona, a shrimp truck operator and police informant, since 2010. In 2017, Taylor's famous "Hawaii" character got a chance to cross over onto the rebooted action series "MacGyver." Up next for Taylor is a starring role in the big-screen romance "Here Comes the Sun." Taylor's been married for years to native Hawaiian Halona Wily, with whom he has a few kids.
