"The Curse of La Llorona" hit theaters on April 19, 2019, but you can still catch it in theaters if you haven't seen it yet. This horror film starring Linda Cardellini and Patricia Velasquez is on the Mexican legend of a mother who drowned her own children and took her own life, only to spend eternity hunting for more children to murder. It's sure to make parents hug their kids and keep their windows and doors tightly locked.

OK, just because "Us" technically opened in March doesn't mean we're not going to watch it again this summer, especially since it's available digitally on June 4 and comes out on demand and on DVD and Blu-ray on June 18. This incredible horror film from cinematic mastermind Jordan Peele stars Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke and Evan Alex as a family that heads to the beach for what they hope will be a relaxing vacation. But instead of hanging 10 and having fun, they find nothing but terror when their doppelgangers turn up and try to murder them.

Are you as excited about this remake as we are? Based on the 1988 original, "Child's Play" is getting a new life in 2019 with a brand new cast that includes "Legion" and "Parks and Recreation" star Aubrey Plaza in a starring role and "Star Wars" actor Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky. This modern version, which arrives in theaters on June 21, promises to introduce a new era of horror fans to the nail-biting terror of a murderous doll named Chucky who's given to a boy as a present by his unwitting mother.

All you had to say was "Octavia Spencer" and we were sold. In the horror flick "Ma," the Oscar-winning actress plays Sue Ann, a seemingly friendly older woman who forms an unlikely friendship with a group of party-happy teens. In a horrific twist, the kids find out too late that Sue Ann isn't very cool at all and probably wants to murder them. You can find out what happens next when "Ma" opens in theaters on May 31.

The sci-fi horror film "Brightburn" starring Elizabeth Banks re-imagines the familiar story of "Superman" and adds a sinister twist. When an alien baby crashes to Earth and is found by a couple longing for a child, it's only natural they'd raise him as their own. However, when that baby grows into a young boy with supernatural powers and a penchant for murder, his adoptive parents might find they don't have what it takes to stop him. Watch it in theaters starting May 24, 2019.

When comedy and horror collide, you get "The Dead Don't Die" starring Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Chloe Sevigny, Selena Gomez and more. Opening in theaters on June 14, 2019, this quirky story is about three police officers from the small town of Centerville who find themselves at the center of a blood-thirsty and oddly humorous zombie invasion.

Based on the beloved 1980s book series of the same name, "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" is finally coming to the big screen on Aug. 9, 2019. Co-written by horror legend Guillermo del Toro, this film about a group of teens who discover a book that seems to bring horror stories to life looks to be one of the most terrifying of the summer!

Pennywise returns on Sept. 6, 2019, in "It: Chapter Two" starring Bill Skarsgard as the eponymous and lethal clown in a story based on the novel by horror master Stephen King. While the plot is still under tight wraps, we do know it takes place 27 years later, reuniting the infamous "Losers Club" members who banded together as children to stop Pennywise from murdering the kids in their hometown.

Nearly 30 years after the original film premiered on the big screen (and haunted our dreams), "Pet Sematary" returned from the dead, promising an even more frightening story than before. The film, which came out on April 5, 2019, is based on the bestselling novel from horror master Stephen King. It's about a family that moves away after a tragedy, only to find an ancient burial ground near their new home that brings the dead back to life.

Thanks to movies like "47 Meters Down: The Next Chapter," you're going to want to skip swimming in the ocean this summer. This horror sequel brings together a new cast that includes John Corbitt and Nia Long for a terrorfest of a film about four girls on vacation who encounter the world's deadliest sharks while diving amidst underwater ruins. You can catch the film in theaters (and on dry land) on Aug. 16, 2019.

Coming to Netflix on May 24, 2019, is "The Perfection" starring Allison Williams — a film that looks like it's going to make us want to claw the flesh off our bodies. The movie, about a totally psycho musician who plots against the new prodigy at her former school, is filled with terrifying smiles, lots of gore and so many tiny bugs that we're feeling all kinds of itchy.

On April 10, 2019, Netflix debuted the original horror film "The Silence" starring Stanley Tucci and Kiernan Shipka. While some might think this is simply a re-imagining of "A Quiet Place," we're here to tell you it's wholly unique. Not only does the family deal with sound-sensing, flying monsters that are capable of swarming and killing people who make the slightest peep within seconds, but they're also up against a deranged cult that uses the silence to invoke terror in those who've managed to survive.

We are crossing our fingers and hoping "The New Mutants" — about a group of young mutants who are trapped in a nightmarish secret facility — will finally be released after more than two years of date changes and major scene re-shoots, although some reports suggest it could be pushed back again. The current projected release date for this sci-fi supernatural-horror flick is Aug. 2, 2019. Starring Maisie Williams from "Game of Thrones," this Marvel/20th Century Fox/Disney film is a spinoff of Marvel's "The X-Men" and brings a new generation of mutants into the mix.

Technically, "Joker" starring Joaquin Phoenix is a thriller, not a horror flick, and its release date isn't until Oct. 4, 2019, making it a little past our summer cut-off, but in all honesty, we couldn't leave this film off our list. Fans of this famous DC comic villain will finally get a chance to explore his origin story on the big screen, and by the looks of the previews, it's a terrifying journey into madness and murder you won't want to miss.

Allegedly based on an actual demonic doll housed by supernatural investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren, "Annabelle Comes Home" is the third installment of this terrifying storyline in the "Conjuring" universe. Out on June 28, 2019, the film starring McKenna Grace and Vera Farmiga promises to scare viewers to their core as they watch what happens when a rebellious teen unlocks Annabelle from her supernatural prison, giving her the power to terrorize the Warren family while preying on their young daughter, Judy.

When a group of young friends travels to a small community in Sweden to participate in a seasonal festival, they have no idea they're actually stepping foot into a bizarre and potentially deadly Pagan ritual. Starring Florence Pugh, William Jackson Harper and Jack Reynor, "Midsommar" (Swedish for midsummer) arrives in theaters on July 3, 2019, and will make even the most adventurous traveler rethink their next getaway.
