With Ellen DeGeneres' reputation continuing to get battered, one famous face is coming to her aid.
On Friday, manager-to-the-stars Scooter Braun tweeted his support for the daytime talk show host, insinuating that her critics are relishing in the negative press she's been receiving.
"People love to take shots at people. They love to see people fall. How quickly so many forget," Justin Bieber's manager tweeted.
The tweet comes after a rough few months in which Ellen, among other things, has been accused of demeaning behavior toward staff and even guests. On Thursday, Ellen apologized to her staff for unspecified transgressions and promised to "correct the issues." However, hours after the apology, BuzzFeed News published a scathing report in which multiple staffers anonymously claimed "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" has been rife with sexual harassment and misconduct by top executive producers.
In the midst of all this, several media outlets noted that Ellen's Hollywood pals had seemingly deserted her, at least publicly. Scooter, though, is now standing up for Ellen, calling her "a kind, thoughtful, courageous human being who stands for what is right and highlights on her show the best of us."
"She has helped change the views for equality," he wrote, adding, "Needed to say this as I know first hand how she helps so many when we are watching and when we are not. She isn't about what is popular she is about what is right. Sending love to Ellen today."
Scooter's clients — who include Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato, among others — have appeared on Ellen's show countless times.
A few hours before Scooter's public backing of Ellen, "Everybody Loves Raymond" star Brad Garrett, who has reportedly been on Ellen's show six times, said the alleged mistreatment of staff wasn't a secret.
"Sorry but it comes from the top @TheEllenShow," he tweeted in response to her apology. "Know more than one who were treated horribly by her. Common knowledge."
