Did you see this one coming? Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have broken up and called off their engagement. TMZ reported on Oct. 14 that though the decision to split was mutual, Ariana was the one who ultimately decided to end things. The couple famously got engaged in June after just a few weeks of dating. "It was way too much too soon," a source told People. "It's not shocking to anyone." TMZ reported that the September death of Mac Miller, Ariana's ex, was a "life-changing fork in the road" for the duo and "the tipping point that led to their split." Ariana, the website said, "was in an incredibly dark place following her ex-boyfriend's apparent fatal overdose. She didn't blame herself — she feels she did everything she could to get him sober — but it left her an emotional wreck." After the death, Ariana realized that "she couldn't be fully invested in her relationship with Pete, and she had rushed into a looming marriage way too fast by getting engaged," the report indicated. Interestingly enough, just hours before the split report surfaced, Ariana was spotted backstage at "Saturday Night Live" supporting Pete. She has since returned her $93,000 engagement ring, but she's keeping their pet pig.

Baby boy!
Duchess Meghan wasn't the only relative of Duchess Kate's with big baby news this week. On Oct. 15, Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, and husband James Matthews welcomed a little prince to their family. Just three days after she attended Princess Eugenie's wedding, Pippa had a baby boy in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, West London — the same place where Kate and Prince William welcomed all three of their royal children. "He was born Monday 15th October at 1.58pm, weighing 8lb and 9oz," Pippa's rep told USA Today. "Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well."
"The Conners" kills Roseanne
The much-discussed reboot of "Roseanne" — now known as "The Conners" — debuted on Oct. 16, and, as expected, Roseanne Barr's character was killed off via an opioid overdose. Roseanne said in a statement that the way producers handled her death was "an unnecessary grim and morbid dimension to an otherwise happy family show." The show, by the way, got decent ratings, pulling in about 11 million viewers, though far more viewers watched the opening episode of "Roseanne" back in March. After the show aired, Roseanne tweeted, "I AIN'T DEAD, B—–S!!!!" John Goodman, who plays Dan Conner, told The Blast that his former TV wife was "hurt" by the decision to kill her off, adding that she "doesn't like the way she was handled." Roseanne was fired by ABC in May after she sent out a racially charged tweet about former President Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.
Splitsville
Diddy and longtime girlfriend Cassie have split up after 11 years together — and one report claims he's already moved on with a young model. The Shade Room quoted a source on Oct. 17 indicating that Diddy and Cassie "have been broken up for months now." Hip-hop news site LoveBScott reported that the music mogul, 48, has already moved on and is casually seeing 26-year-old model Jocelyn Chew. Oddly, Diddy and Cassie were photographed together several weeks ago in Los Angeles.
Surprise, you're a dad
Roger Daltrey was in his 50s when he discovered that he'd fathered three children he never knew about. Up until that point, the The Who rocker thought he had five kids, not eight. "They all came into my life after my 50th birthday," he told the Mirror, noting he was sad to discover that all three had been adopted after birth. "It was great — it's all worked out. They stay in touch and they're close. … I've tried to do my best about a situation that couldn't change because it happened a long time ago." The three kids were all fathered between 1968 and 1971, before his marriage to Heather Taylor. Of course, he was dating Heather while he was fathering children. He called her "amazing" for forgiving him for his unfaithful lifestyle. "To find a woman who understood what this business was like, who I was and who we were, and to accept that and still want to be with me when I came home was a gift from the universe," he said. "Whether that's an open marriage or just a matter of being honest with her, because I was never going to be the perfect husband in that sense. … So when I come back off tours, we don't talk about it. She accepted that."
Super no
Rihanna took a knee on the NFL. Reports surfaced on Oct. 18 that claimed RiRi declined an offer to headline the Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show because she "supports Colin Kaepernick," a source told Us Weekly. "The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year's performer in Atlanta," the source said. "They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn't agree with the NFL's stance." Colin, of course, was the first player to kneel during a national anthem to protest police brutality and racial injustice. Because of that, Colin has become a lightning rod of controversy and remains out of work in the NFL, despite nearly all football experts agreeing that he's talented enough to be on an NFL roster. The halftime gig has reportedly been offered to Maroon 5.
Hospitalized
"Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans was recently hospitalized, but the events that led to her needing medical treatment remain murky. On Oct. 18, a website called The Ashley's Reality Roundup reported that two deputies and an ambulance responded to the home that Jenelle shares with her husband, David Eason. Authorities said the 911 call was called in "as an assault," and, although they didn't confirm that Jenelle actually made the call, police said the caller was female. When cops arrived at her North Carolina home, Jenelle allegedly canceled the ambulance and no legal action was taken. Jenelle's rep said the TV star tripped and fell near a bonfire that they had put together for a party. On Oct. 19, a recording of the 911 call was released, which confirmed Jenelle was the caller. In that call, she claimed David assaulted her and pinned her to the ground. She also indicated that her collarbone was injured. A few hours after the call was released, Jenelle told E! News the whole thing was a "drunk and dramatic misunderstanding." She added, "Everything is great…We are totally fine… We are feeling fine. Just taking time off social media…time to focus on ourselves and our family."

The actress revealed that she is a mom when she took to Instagram on Oct. 15 to share an image with her newborn. "My heart has melted into a billion pieces a thousand times already," she wrote. "We have been blessed with the greatest joy of our lives, our baby boy. Welcome to the world Peanut, your parents love you beyond measure and you are already my little dream boat. My heart has been stolen!"
