The split between Jesse Williams and his estranged wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, is starting to feel like a heavyweight fight, with each round bringing a new set of drama.
In their latest spat, Aryn is accusing the "Grey's Anatomy" star of defying a judge's order, alleging that he has introduced their kids to his girlfriend. Under terms of their custody agreement, neither is allowed to introduce their kids to a partner until they are six months into the romance.
TMZ, citing the latest court documents filed by Aryn, says Jesse has been letting their two kids hang around his new girlfriend since October, and they even call her "Mama C." She also alleged that the kids joined Jesse and his unnamed lady on a vacation. For months, he has been linked to Minka Kelly.
Aryn also claims that Jesse made her look bad in front of their daughter, Sadie, and it had to do with desserts.
Jesse's ex claims he took cupcakes to Sadie's school, which is apparently not allowed — Aryn says the school picks one day a month to celebrate the children's birthdays who were born that month.
Sadie, 4, is too young to understand the alleged birthday rule, Aryn says, and "she was mad at me for not attending her birthday party" at school.
Aryn has other gripes, too, but those are the two main ones as of now.
TMZ quotes a source close the former couple who claims that this is false and a case of sour grapes. Aryn is "obsessed with being seen as a victim, and she can't do that if people see Jesse a the fun, caring, good person he is," TMZ said.
The split is one of the more contentious in recent memory, but when the duo first split, it was reported that things were amicable, but they later got increasingly volatile.
In court docs filed in August 2017, Aryn claimed that their kids are being "emotionally compromised" because of Jesse's dating life, saying he has a "revolving door" of women. She also claimed that Jesse has an unhealthy temper. The actor, though, countered that claim, saying that his kids have never seen him angry, but they have witnessed Aryn be verbally abusive to him. He also said she once repeatedly slammed the front door on his leg during an argument.
A month earlier, he filed court documents claiming that his estranged wife refused his request for more time with the kids and so he asked for a "court order for a joint physical custody parenting plan."
"Aryn restricts my time with the children and decides when, and for how long I may have them. She has rejected, without any reason, each and every request I have made to have the children sleepover at my residence," the actor said. "On the few days that I have the children, Aryn has insisted that my time with the children be limited during the week to approximately two and half hours per day, despite my requests for more time, including overnights with the children."
Last September, though, the volume appeared to be turned down significantly when the feuding parents reached a temporary custody agreement, agreeing to share joint legal custody of Maceo and Sadie.
"All decisions made regarding the health, welfare and upbringing will be made between the two of them," TMZ reported at the time.
The agreement also made it clear that neither Jesse nor Aryn can make derogatory remarks about the other in front of the children.
Then, in early January, Jesse went to court to claim that Aryn prevented him from seeing their kids over the holidays.
