Miley Cyrus says public divorce from Liam Hemsworth "sucked"
Miley Cyrus is getting candid about her split from longtime love Liam Hemsworth. In a new interview on the "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, Cyrus admitted that being in the public eye while divorcing Hemsworth, who she'd been with off and on since meeting on the set of "The Last Song" in 2009, was the worst part. "What really sucked about it wasn't the fact that me and someone that I loved realized that we don't love each other the way that we used to anymore," Cyrus admitted. "That's okay, I can accept that. I can't accept the villainizing and just all those stories." The couple, who married in December 2018, began divorce proceedings in August 2019. As news of their separation surfaced the singer also began a relationship with "The Hills" star Kaitlynn Carter. "It's just amazing to me that the public kind of thinks that there is no gap in time that they didn't see that could possibly be what led to this. Like, it's not, 'One day you were happy on the carpet, and the next you're making out with your friend in Italy,' what the f–k?" she said. "Well, there was a lot of time between that you didn't see." Carter and Cyrus parted ways shortly after and Cyrus has been dating Cody Simpson since. Hemsworth has also moved on and has been dating model Gabriella Brooks for nearly a year.

Chadwick Boseman's agent explains why he hid his cancer diagnosis
When Chadwick Boseman passed away on Aug. 28, 2020 from colon cancer, the world was shocked, as Boseman had never spoken publicly about his health struggles. Among those who knew about his diagnosis was his longtime agent, Michael Greene, who explained Boseman's desire for privacy with The Hollywood Reporter. "[Chadwick's mother Carolyn] always taught him not to have people fuss over him," explained Grenee. "He also felt in this business that people trip out about things, and he was a very, very private person." Boseman, who was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016, quietly struggled with the pain from his progressing cancer. In the upcoming Netflix film "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom," Greene says Boseman was "in hard-core pain." But for Boseman, being able to work with Denzel Washington, his co-star in the film, and to work with the playwright August Wilson at Netflix "was so exciting to him."

Nina Dobrev wishes "least favorite person" Shaun White a happy birthday
Nina Dobrev is publicly wishing boyfriend Shaun White a happy birthday, while shaming him for his "worst" qualities. Dobrev shared a selfie of the two on Instagram where she is sticking her tongue out and her 34-year-old boyfriend covers his eye with a water bottle. "To the most untalented, humorless, least athletic, least coordinated, least gifted and least favorite person…. happy birthday @shaunwhite," the 31-year-old actress captioned her post. "Hang in there. one day you will accomplish something. #dontgiveup." In February, fans first speculated the two were dating when they posted similar photos from a South African safari. They were then photographed together bike riding on March 22 in Malibu. Since then the happy couple have quarantined together and headed on vacation to Mexico.

Philip Seymour Hoffman's son to make feature film debut
Cooper Hoffman, the son of the late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, is set to follow in his father's footsteps. The 17-year-old will make his feature film debut as the lead role in writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson's new coming of age movie, set in the 1970s, the Hollywood Reporter reports. Anderson and the actor, who passed away from a drug overdose in 2014, were frequent collaborators. The two first worked together on 1996's "Hard Eight" and then movies like "Boogie Nights" and "Punch Drunk Love." The new movie will feature the teen as a child actor and will be set in the San Fernando Valley. Alana Haim will also star in the movie, and make her acting debut with it, and Bradley Cooper will be part of the ensemble cast.
Alyssa Milano shares health update following COVID-19 battle
On Wednesday, Sept. 2, Alyssa Milano did a wellness check-in with her Instagram followers, asking them how they are doing and sharing her own health update. "I'm ok. I'm starting to physically feel better," she wrote. "I'm still taking an aspirin every 3 days to thin my blood, fish oil, vitamin D, C, zinc and a B complex. I still have occasional heart palpitations. I still forget my words (absolute worst part). But it's not nearly as bad as it was a few weeks ago. I feel better." Milano got COVID-19 in April and has been experiencing symptoms for months. Last month she referred to herself as a "long hauler" patient, after she shared that she was in the emergency room with a heavy chest. She has since had a CT scan of her lungs and a cardiac MRI, both which came back normal, she explained. "I get super scared sometimes, though. Not of getting sick again but of my loved ones getting sick. I don't ever want them to have this thing. It's a beast," she continued. "So I vacillate between being so grateful and so terrified. Grateful that it was me who got sick and terrified that friends or family will be sick."
Robert Pattinson has tested positive for the coronavirus
Production resumed on "The Batman," starring Robert Pattinson on Sept. 1, but by Sept. 3, production was halted after an anonymous member of the crew was tested positive for COVID-19. According to a new report in Vanity Fair, it is Pattinson who tested positive. Warner Bros. declined to comment on the health of people working on the film, which was filming at studios outside of London, only saying, "A member of 'The Batman' production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused." The movie, which was planned for release in 2021, also stars Colin Farrell and Zoë Kravitz.
Marie Osmond is leaving "The Talk"
After a year of co-hosting on "The Talk," Marie Osmond is exiting the show. Last year, Osmond joined the CBS daytime talk show in place of Sara Gilbert, who had been with the show since the premiere. "My husband and I just dropped our last two kids off at college, we looked at each other, laughed and remembered we hadn't been this alone together since 1982!!" Osmond said about her departure. "So, at this stage of my life, I'm looking forward to spending more time with him and visiting all the kids/grandkids." CBS shared that they will miss Osmond's "humor, kindness, and good nature," on the show, which she co-hosted with Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. "Marie is a consummate professional, and we thank her for sharing her personal experiences, insight, as well as incredible talents, with our audience," the statement said. "[We] wish her much success in her future endeavors."
Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers' kids start school
Elizabeth Chambers' kids are back to school. In a new Instagram post, the mother of two, who recently announced her split from husband Armie Hammer after 10 years of marriage, shared that her kids are starting school in Grand Cayman. Chambers and the children, Ford, 3, and Harper, 5, have been spending much of the coronavirus pandemic in Grand Cayman. "A couple days late and my sad signs didn't survive the humidity or enthusiasm. BUT, Monday marked their second week of kindergarten and pre-k IRL in GC and the first day of Zoom Kindergarten for Hops at her school in LA," the 38-year-old captioned the post, which featured photos of the kids in their first day of school outfits. "Happy back-to-school, whatever that means to you!"
Kendall Jenner's ex swoons over Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens is getting attention from Ben Simmons, the Philadelphia 76ers player who had dated Kendall Jenner off and on since 2018. Simmons was caught by Swipe Sports liking a set of Instagram photos of Hudgens on the beach at a luxury resort in Turks & Caicos. In the photos Vanessa is wearing a white bikini on a white sand beach with turquoise water behind her. She captioned the set, "Take me backkkkkk." Simmons wouldn't be the only athlete taken by Hudgens recently; Giancarlo Stanton of the Yankees was caught liking another bikini Instagram photo that Hudgens, who split from longtime boyfriend Austin Butler in January, posted from the same trip.
Katie Lee gives birth to first child with husband Ryan Biegel
Katie Lee is a mom! The Food Network star welcomed her first child, daughter Iris Marion Biegel on Sept. 2. She made her Instagram debut on Sept. 3, in a post from the hospital where Lee is cradling her daughter in a receiving blanket. She captioned the post "Our hearts are so full." Lee and husband Biegel, who she married two years ago, had struggled to conceive before getting pregnant with Iris. In April 2019 the cookbook author shared on Instagram, "When Ryan and I got married, our plan was to start a family right away. I couldn't wait to get pregnant! I naively thought it would be easy," the 38-year-old shared. "My doctor advised us to try IVF. We just finished the intense process only to get zero healthy embryos. Not only is IVF physically exhausting, the emotional toll is unparalleled. We were filled with hope and excitement only to be crushed." The couple announced they were expecting on social media in February, when Lee announced she was "eating for two."
