It's time once again for Wonderwall's examination of celebrity hair, and where it can go right and wrong.
Kate Gosselin of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" loves talking about her hair. That's fine. But we're still pretty certain her asymmetrical shield bangs/frosted-tip front mullet are a solid DON'T, eight times over.
Strangely enough, on "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert, the same style is a DO. Maybe Kate should work in a blue streak?
Avril Lavigne and a friend pump gas in Malibu while modeling matching bed-head hairstyles. DO be careful with the gas pump, ladies. This is reminiscent of a tragic scene from "Zoolander."
Kylie Minogue's hairstyle just raises too many questions. Is it up? Is it down? Is it crunchy to the touch, or just frighteningly crunchy looking? We love you Kylie, we just DON'T get this look.
Matthew Broderick and son James Wilkie DO get that matching father-son feathered hairstyle that makes both parties look ridiculous. Ridiculously adorable.
Dear Zoe Saldana, your super-tight updo makes us hurt for you. You really DON'T need a ponytail-provided face-lift. We promise.
Jessica Biel goes out in New York looking every bit the Hollywood hipster. What? You've never seen a lumberjack with a lustrous, wavy DO?
Rihanna's edgy, short style must make getting through airport security a breeze. Extra points for the protective hand raised to the coif. Listen, people: You don't have to like it, but you DO have to respect it.
Oh, Claudia Schiffer. You DON'T need those mall bangs covering up your beautiful bone structure.
Kristin Cavallari knows the key to good hair: DO try to position yourself in front of a wind machine at all times. Bring a cocktail, then wait for the paparazzi to pounce.
When at Cannes, DON'T use your updo to smuggle out hors d'oeuvres, a la Eva Green.
Julianne Moore runs errands in New York with her brilliant red hair that is, as usual, an enviable DO.
Chris Robinson and his ladyfriend DO love strolling hand-in-hand and looking like they just rolled off the tour bus. Hairbrushes are totally for squares.
Dita Von Teese modeled a well-sculpted DON'T at a party for Dolce & Gabbana. Note to Dita: Only Cate Blanchett is allowed to mince about looking like Queen Elizabeth I.
