Hostage situation?
R. Kelly is holding women against their will and running an abusive sex "cult," according to a strange investigative report by BuzzFeed News. The music star is denying the claim. On July 17, a story was published alleging that R. Kelly, no stranger to bizarre stories, is housing half a dozen young women in properties in Chicago and Atlanta as part of a sex cult. Several women, supposedly the singer's former inner circle, spoke to Buzzfeed about the strict rules the say are in place. "Mr. Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed by the recent revelations attributed to him. Mr. Kelly unequivocally denies such accusations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name," his rep said in a statement. One of his supposed hostages, Joycelyn Savage, spoke to TMZ after her dad said she was being held against her will. Although she wouldn't say where she is or if she was alone, she said she was not being held hostage.
Social media mayhem
First came Ed Sheeran's surprise appearance on "Game of Thrones" on July 16. The next day, as fans mocked him, he deleted his Twitter account. The day after that, he was back on Twitter. Many in the media assumed that he deleted his account due to the "GoT" backlash. But on July 19, Ed clarified why he temporarily dropped out of the Twitter-verse. "I came off Twitter Coz I was always intending to come off Twitter, had nothing to do with what people said about my game of thrones cameo, because I am in game of thrones, why the hell would I worry what people thought about that," he said. "Timing was just a coincidence, but believe what you want."
Married!
Surprise, surprise! Jamie Bell and Kate Mara announced on July 17 that they'd secretly tied the knot. She posted a photo of herself and her new hubby kissing (it appeared to be on a dance floor), captioning the Instagram pic, "Nuptials." DUI arrest
Aaron Carter was released from jail on July 17 after being arrested for suspected DUI and marijuana possession in Georgia alongside girlfriend Madison Parker. The singer claims he wasn't driving and shouldn't have been arrested at all. TMZ reported that cops saw Aaron driving and swerving all over the road before pulling into an AutoZone parking lot. Aaron said his car was simply out of alignment, hence the swerving. A police report said Aaron's eyes were "bloodshot and watery with a glazed look to them." TMZ said that during field sobriety testing, "Aaron talked to himself, lost his balance, swayed and had trouble tracking movement with his eyes." Nick's brother, Nick Carter, tweeted, "To my brother: I love u no matter what & if u feel the need to reach for help, I am here and willing to help you get better. Family isn't always easy, be we're all here for you." Aaron, though, didn't take too kindly to that. In addressing his brother, Aaron told "ET," "If my own blood truly cared about my well-being, why wouldn't he call me directly and have a conversation instead of making this about him through a very public forum? That's not cool at all to use me for his PR and kick me while I am down. I love my family despite it through thick and thin."
Pregnant
Baby on board! Mindy Kaling is pregnant, it was reported on July 17. A source told E! it was "an unexpected surprise." It's the first child for the actress. Little else is known about the somewhat surprising pregnancy, including the identity of the baby's dad and how far along Mindy is. In fact, on July 18, People magazine quoted a source who said, "She is not telling anyone, not even close friends, who the father is." Mindy was pictured in late June celebrating her 37th birthday in Las Vegas and showed no signs of a baby bump.

A source told Page Six, "Midway through the show, Jennifer Lawrence bolted from her seat. Several people saw her getting sick in the lobby. The ushers were very helpful and courteous in helping her out." A friend of J.Law's said she had the stomach flu. On July 19, Olivia read reports that J.Law was ill during the performance and took to Twitter. "As long as I have a play, Jennifer Lawrence has a place to puke. 🙌#honored #getwellsoon #iloveyou #1984onBarfway #spewbagsnotincluded," she wrote.
