Demi Lovato leaves rehab after three-month stay
Demi Lovato is out of rehab and doing well. The singer was spotted out and about in Los Angeles on Nov. 3 — more than three months after she entered a treatment facility following a nearly fatal drug overdose. Demi was all smiles as she left Matsuhisa, a sushi restaurant in Beverly Hills, with clothing designer and fellow recovering addict Henry Levy, with whom she grabbed coffee a few days later too.

Diddy's ex-partner, Kim Porter, unexpectedly dies
Diddy is mourning the loss of his former partner, model Kim Porter, who unexpectedly died at her home on Nov. 15. The hip-hop mogul hosted a private memorial for Kim, who is the mother of three of his children, at his Los Angeles home on Nov. 19 and attended her star-studded funeral in Georgia days later.

John Legend defends Rita Ora for lip-syncing during Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade
Every year, music stars lip-synch during the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. And every year, fans get upset at someone for doing it. This year it was Rita Ora taking the heat. There was a technical glitch — it appears there was a several-second delay between what she was hearing and what viewers at home were hearing — which meant she was woefully out of time with her pre-recorded vocals. While people at home roasted the British pop star, fellow parade performer John Legend came to her defense, tweeting: "Fun fact. We all have to lip sync on this parade because the floats don't have the capacity to handle the sound requirements for a live performance. Hope y'all enjoyed it anyway. Know that if you come to my shows, the vocals are 100% live!"
Justin Bieber taking a break from music during "season of self-discovery"
Justin Bieber reportedly has no plans to return to music right now as he focuses on new wife Hailey Baldwin, according to reports published on Nov. 14. "He's happy and content," a source told People magazine. "He is in love with Hailey. She encourages him to do whatever he wants to do and is encouraging him in this season of self-discovery."
Selena Gomez checks out of hospital after one month of treatment
Selena Gomez is on the road to recovery. The pop star left a New York psychiatric facility where she'd been receiving treatment following a mental health crisis in October. "[Selena is] refreshed and is in a better headspace," a source told E! News on Nov. 7, adding that the pop star was "out of her treatment program in NYC and is doing much better."
Joe Perry rushed to hospital after collapsing onstage
Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry was rushed to a New York City hospital after he collapsed backstage minutes after performing with Billy Joel on Nov. 10. His rep confirmed the news, saying: "Following a guest performance during Billy Joel's show last night at Madison Square Garden, Joe Perry experienced shortness of breath and was treated backstage by paramedics who gave the guitarist oxygen and used a tracheal tube to clear his airway before taking him to a hospital." A week later, Joe's camp confirmed that the legendary rocker was home and resting.

Missy Elliott is making history! The 47-year-old music star became the first female rapper to be nominated for the Songwriters Hall of Fame, according to a Nov. 7 announcement. Aretha Franklin documentary to be released after 46 years
An Aretha Franklin concert documentary, "Amazing Grace," will finally be released after 46 years in the vault, the late singer's estate announced on Nov. 5. The film, which captured Aretha's 1972 performance at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, will premiere Nov. 12 at the DOC NYC film festival.

"24K Magic" singer Bruno Mars donated 24K Thanksgiving dinners to people in need in his home state of Hawaii, according to press release published on Nov. 12. The superstar singer worked with the Salvation Army's Thanksgiving Dinner Program in the Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division to distribute the meals on Nov. 22, the Hawaii Community Foundation said.
Tekashi 6ix9ine arrested on racketeering charges, faces 32 years in prison
Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is facing a mandatory minimum of 32 years in prison after being arrested on racketeering and firearm charges on Nov. 18. The allegations stem from Tekashi's ties to the Nine Trey Bloods gang and a previously unreported armed robbery.
Celebrity deaths
Roy Hargrove, the famed jazz musician and trumpeter (pictured), died on Nov. 2 at age 49 after going into cardiac arrest. Dave Rowland, the lead singer of Dave & Sugar, died on Nov. 1 at age 74. LFO member Devin Lima died on Nov. 21 at age 41 following a yearlong cancer battle. He's the second member of the boy band to lose his life to cancer.
BTS' agency issues apology for atomic bomb shirt, Nazi-emblem hat
An agency representing K-pop band BTS issued an apology on Nov. 14 after members of the group were spotted wearing a hat with a Nazi symbol and a T-shirt showing the explosion of an atomic bomb. "We would like to again offer our sincerest apologies to anyone who has suffered pain, distress and discomfort due to our shortcomings and oversight in ensuring that these matters receive our most careful attention," Big Hit Entertainment said in a statement.
