Picking out the perfect dress for the Golden Globe Awards is tricky enough, so just think about the extra effort a pregnant celeb has to put in to find the right look! Over the years, a ton of stars have showed up to the big event with their baby bumps dressed to impress, like Olivia Wilde when she was carrying son Otis Sudeikis. In 2014, the hot mama walked the red carpet looking fierce in a curve-hugging, glittering green Gucci gown. Who needs maternity wear anyway? With the 2021 Globes set to air on Feb. 28, here's a look back at more celebs who were pregnant at past ceremonies…

Gwyneth Paltrow gave off gorgeous ethereal vibes in an off-white Balenciaga dress at the 2006 Golden Globes. The frilly frock with a slight empire waist was perfect for her bumpin' body. The actress — who was pregnant with her second child, Moses Martin, at the time — was nominated for best actress for her work in the drama "Proof" that year.

Natalie Portman walked away from the 2011 Golden Globes with the award for best actress in a drama for her work in "Black Swan," but she should have also received some sort of nod for being the best dressed pregnant star! She adorned her bump in a soft pink Viktor & Rolf gown, drawing the perfect amount of attention to her cute belly with a bright red flower embellishment. At the time, she was expecting son Aleph Millepied.

Natalie Portman attended the Golden Globes while pregnant (again!) in 2017! This time, she was expecting daughter Amalia Millepied, who was born the following month. We think this bold yellow gown was the perfect pick to go with that baby bump the year she was up for best actress in a drama for her work in "Jackie."
Keira Knightley's ruffled butterfly-print frock at the 2015 Golden Globes made us wonder if she had perhaps drawn inspiration for the look while decorating daughter Edie Righton's nursery. The empire-waisted Chanel number was unique, to say the least. Though nominated for best supporting actress for her work in "The Imitation Game" that year, Keira went home empty-handed.
Kristen Bell chose a stunning vintage-inspired Jenny Packham gown for the 2013 Golden Globes when she was pregnant with daughter Lincoln Shepard. The skirt of the purple-gray dress billowed over the presenter's bump while the gown's sparkling high-necked overlay drew attention up and to her back. Just look at that intricate beadwork!
Nominated for best supporting actress for her work in "The Fighter," Amy Adams strayed from the norm in a midi-length dress for the 2010 Golden Globes. Still, she and her little bump looked fabulous. The forest green Carolina Herrera frock was the perfect hue for her red hair and skin tone, especially with the addition of a copper brooch, clutch and shoes. Amy was carrying daughter Aviana Le Gallo at the time.
Drew Barrymore's joyful pregnancy glow really shone through in the bright floral dress she chose for the 2014 Golden Globes. Instead of trying to hide her baby bump, the vivid orange, pink and purple Monique Lhuillier number truly embraced it. The presenter was pregnant with her second daughter, Frankie Kopelman, at the time.
While pregnant with son Roman Zelman, Debra Messing had a bit of a fashion emergency at the 2004 Golden Globes. Though the "Will & Grace" nominee dressed her bump well in a flowy black dress and unique beaded overcoat, she underestimated when it came to size. "I was seven months pregnant, and from the morning to the night of the event, my stomach grew," she revealed to Open All Night. "So I had to leave the Golden Globes early because I couldn't fit into my dress anymore."

Showing support for her nominated movie "Precious," Paula Patton rocked her baby bump in a hot Kaufman Franco gown at the 2010 Golden Globes. The black-and-nude strapless gown showcased a cool circular lace overlay design. And we love how she belted her waist above her cute little belly. At the time, she was pregnant with son Julian Thicke.
On the arm of hunky hubby Chris Hemsworth, Elsa Pataky stunned during her second pregnancy at the 2014 Golden Globes. Actor Eddie Redmayne's wife Hannah Bagshawe actually debuted her pregnancy bump on the 2016 Golden Globes red carpet, though she downplayed her growing belly in a black tiered Alexander McQueen gown.
