Inside Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney's honeymoon
Newlyweds Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney are celebrating their new life together with trip to Indonesia's Sumba Island. People reports the Oscar winner and her art gallery director beau chose the exclusive Nihi Sumba Resort — a collection of villas perched atop 530 private acres on the shores of the Indian Ocean — for their getaway. Founded by surfer, Claude Graves and his wife, Petra, the beach is known for a famed wave called "Occy's Left," which breaks at the reef at Nihiwatu. The resort itself was recently named the best in the world by Travel + Leisure. It's now owned and run by entrepreneur, Chris Burch, who's reportedly rented his private home, a five-villa estate called Raja Mandaka, to Jen and Cooke. The going rate for Chris' home is $12,745 per night — or close to $90,000 for a week, according to E! News. (The resort is the same one where now-former couple Kaitlynn Carter and Brody Jenner said "I do" in a non-legal ceremony last year. A source tells People Christian Bale stayed at Chris' pad recently, too.) In addition to the couple's access to luxury pools and sweeping views of the ocean, the couple can take advantage of amenities like the resort's spa, located in a bamboo pavilion above the water, or activities including surfing, fishing, diving, snorkeling and yoga. The pair has already gone horseback riding and visited local Sumbanese villages, according to People. Jen and Cooke tied the knot in mid-October in Rhode Island.

Justin Theroux shouts-out ex, Jennifer Aniston, on Instagram for a good cause
Justin Theroux shouted-out his ex, Jennifer Aniston, on Instagram this week in a post devoted to spreading the word about some adorable pups who are available for adoption in Los Angeles. Referencing his own dog, Kuma, Justin wrote that he'd stumbled upon the Ventura County Animal Services shelter. "KUMA had a feeling there might be some amazing puppies in there SO, we went over to meet some of them… and the human SAINTS that take care of them," he wrote, sharing photos of multiple super-cute dogs and puppies in need of homes. "We met SOME SERIOUSLY CUTE PUPS…. Like ZUMO, SHOTTI … A puppy that doesn't even HAVE name yet… AND… a very scared STELLA that was too scared to even say hi to us. (all pictured here)… ," he wrote. "KUMA used to be JUST like them… without a forever home. SO!!! She DEMANDED that we do something!" It seems "Kuma" (ahem), "… made sure it was easy to adopt them" by taking care of "ALL of their adoption fees." Justin continued: "Now they just need an amazing Human who is committed to taking care of them. It sounds like a lot, but you'll soon see… once rescued, they take care of you way more." He then made a final appeal to anyone "in the Ventura area" to go see Zump, Shotti, "No Name" and Stella, promising followers the pups would "love a visit… and of course… more than anything, would love to take care of you." That's when he added a tag to some of his fellow dog-lovers, including Instagram newbie, Jen. "#adoptdontshop #pitbullsofinstagram @selenagomez (sorry Selena, you know the drill) @jenniferaniston (yep, now that you're on here, your gonna get this a lot too ☺️)," Justin wrote. Jen responded by "liking" the post. The former couple split in 2017. In June, they reunited to say goodbye to one of their rescues, Dolly, as she passed on to doggy heaven. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have some dogs to adopt!

Kim Kardashian supports Instagram proposal to hide 'likes,' view counts
As Kim Kardashian West's four children get older, she's starting to think more about the effect social media has on users' mental health. Speaking at the New York Times' DealBrook Conference in New York City on Wednesday, Nov. 6, she voiced her support of a proposed Instagram feature that would hide access to view counts and "likes" on posts while still allowing users to see that there was engagement. "As far as mental health… I think taking the 'likes' away and taking that aspect away from [Instagram] would be really beneficial for people," she said, according to JustJared. "I know the Instagram team has been having a bunch of conversations with people to get everyone's take on that and they're taking it really seriously, and that makes me happy." She went on to say that while she believes herself "to be extremely mentally strong," she has friends who "are obsessed with the comments," which she worries is "unhealthy." Kim explained that she's "struggled" with considering how someone like a friend or one of her kids "who wasn't as mentally strong" might be "affected by the comments." Kim added that as she raises her children she now thinks about things like "screen time, phone time, what to post, what not to post," before referencing her robbery in Paris, when, as she put it, "I learned from a bad experience I had when I was robbed that people knew my every move, what I had, where I was, what I was doing, and that, to me, really changed the things that I post." Earlier this year, Instagram announced it was testing the hide-likes and view counts feature in at least seven countries.
Gigi Hadid claps back at style critics after stepping out in leggings to run an errand
Gigi Hadid spends plenty of time on runways and is decidedly not here for anyone's critique of her outfits when she's not working. After noticing a number of negative comments on social media about what she had on Tuesday, Nov. 5 — a sweatshirt, leggings, sneakers and puffer jacket — the model clapped back, reminding people she's not beholden to fashion any more than others during her downtime. "She's such a natural beauty… idk what happened to her iconic street style tho," sniped one Twitter user. "U guys need to calm tf down sometimes," Gigi responded (via Page Six) in a tweet that was later deleted. "It's called stepping out to do one errand — not dressing for your approval. Your unrealistic expectations & petty complaining all the time about my style or not being sexy enough isn't going to make me dress differently." She added: "U all talk about empowering women. I support and empower women that show skin and that don't. It's about choice. I show skin when I want to and still feel sexy covered head to toe & will continue to do so. Over the snarky comments." When someone else criticized her outfit, she responded again (and deleted the tweet again), writing: "I like what I wear and wear it for that reason. It's not about a stylist, it's how I'm choosing to express myself. Your opinion isn't going to change that. Those of you who feel this way should focus your energy on praising those whose style u love. Peace."

Duchess Meghan reveals a new milestone for Archie while meeting with the families of deployed servicemen and women
Ahead of next week's Remembrance Day, a British Commonwealth memorial day for honoring deceased members of the armed forces, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan made an unannounced visit to Broom Farm Community Centre in Windsor, England, to speak with family members of deployed servicemen and women. While they were there, Meghan also shared an update about one of their son, Archie's latest milestones. As Meghan and Harry's official Instagram account later explained: "During the visit yesterday, Their Royal Highnesses met with young families who shared their experiences as parents and as couples who are often apart from their loved ones for months at a time. A reminder that a life of service does not simply describe the person wearing the uniform, but the entire family." While speaking to one little girl she met at the gathering, Meghan marveled, "Look at all your little teeth," then noted, "Archie just got two teeth!" (via ET). Harry, a veteran who served 10 years of duty before getting married and starting a family, empathized with the group and their loved ones. "I can't imagine what it's like to miss so much," he said, "as they change so quickly." Meghan and Harry welcomed Archie in May, about a year after their wedding.
Kylie Jenner and Drake are just pals: Report
There's nothing to those rumors of a blossoming romance between Kylie Jenner and Drake. That's according to TMZ, which reports "sources close to both Kylie and Drake" have denied that the two have anything more than a friendship going on. The website's insiders have also reportedly said that Kylie doesn't plan to start dating anytime soon in the wake of her split from Travis Scott. In recent weeks, she was spotted at both Drake's birthday party and his Halloween party, leading some to wonder if they were dating.
Alex Rodriguez opens up about parenting with Jennifer Lopez on 'Today'
When it comes to parenting the kids and soon-to-be stepkids he shares with Jennifer Lopez, former Yankee star Alex Rodriguez runs the show — to a point. Alex stopped by the "Today" show this week and when guest cohost Andy Cohen asked whether A-Rod or his fiancee "wears the pants," Alex boasted, "Before she gets home, I'm the boss," joking that, "I'm security, I'm Uber, I'm the teacher," according to Us Weekly. Alex came to his relationship with Jennifer with daughters, Natasha, 14, and Ella, 11, from his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis. Jennifer, meanwhile, shares 11-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony. "We have four kids and no one listens to Dad," Alex added. The baseball star-turned commentator also made a point of gushing about his fiancee, calling her an "incredible person," praising her work in "Hustlers" and reminding viewers she's preparing to perform at the Super Bowl – "her lifelong dreams," Alex said — after shooting her new film, "Marry Me." The couple announced their engagement this past spring.
Paulina Porizkova makes first public appearance since Ric Ocasek's death
Since the death of her husband, Ric Ocasek, in September, Paulina Porizkova has kept a relatively low profile. That changed this week when she and her sons, Oliver Ocasek and Jonathan Ocasek, attended the Art Students League's 2019 Gala at the Paradise Club in New York City. "She didn't … give a speech or anything, but they all seemed to be in a great mood, enjoying the evening," a party-goer told Page Six. The "Cabaret"-themed event was held to honor Tony Bennet and featured Joel Grey as the host. Suzanne Vega also performed a tribute to Paulina's late husband, according to the Post. Though Paulina and Ric separated in 2017 after 28 years of marriage, they stayed close until he died. As she told followers on Instagram, she and her sons were looking after the former Cars frontman following surgery as he recovered at home when he "peacefully passed on," having suffered heart disease and pulmonary emphysema.
T.I. sparks outrage after saying he accompanies his 18-year-old daughter to GYN appointments to ensure she's a virgin
T.I. isn't making any new friends this week after he announced during an interview for the Ladies Like Us podcast that he goes with his 18-year-old daughter to her annual GYN appointments to make sure she's a virgin. The comments came in response to a question about whether he'd had the "sex talk" with his daughter, according to TooFab. "Have I? This is the thing: Deyjah's 18, just graduated high school now and she's attending her first year of college, figuring it out for herself," he replied. "And yes, not only have we had the conversation, we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen." He also said he accompanies her into the doctor's office and that his daughter signs a release to allow him to come in. "I will say as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact," he said. Among the many, many horrified celebs who reacted was Sharon Osbourne, who pointed out on "The Talk" the rapper "should never ever be talking about his daughter's sex life, ever," then told viewers, "I think it's freaky he would go to the gynecologist with his daughter and to talk about it. Don't talk about your kids' sex life, about what's going on in their body, it is sacred to them. It's not your life. Because you're the daddy doesn't give you other rights, it's not your life, let your daughter lead her own life. And keep her privacy." Eve agreed, saying that while he's "a great guy," his comments are "very shocking." "If I was his daughter, I would be like, why are you talking about this? Beyond that, this is like daddy issues to the 100th power. Those appointments — while I think it is OK for a dad to have those conversations with your daughter about sexual situations — her time with her doctor, that's her private time. You're infringing on her freedom, her body," she said. Padma Lakshmi tweeted about T.I., posting, "The double standard of the patriarchy is truly insane. Young women are fully capable of making their own informed decisions about their bodies and their sexuality." Iggy Azalea chimed in to say she wished the interviewers had called him out on his comments and accused him of having "serious control issues with women in all aspects of his life." She later deleted the post. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood posted multiple times to remind followers a woman's hymen being intact or not has nothing to do with whether she's had sex.
