Turns out Chris Pratt's taste in engagement rings is impressively on-trend. As Jason Beverly Hills jeweler Jason Arasheben tells People, the sparkler Chris slipped on Katherine Schwarzenegger's finger over the weekend is decked out with an oval diamond that's "the hottest shape right now." Estimated to cost anywhere between $150,000 to $550,000, the 5-carat gem's cut is reportedly a big hit for ring merchants in 2019. "It seems like 10 years ago no one asked for it and now everyone does," the jeweler explained. The ring wasn't the only thing Chris, 39, got before popping the question to his 29-year-old girlfriend — he also got the "OK" to propose from Katherine's parents, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger. "He asked for Maria and Arnold 's blessing and was very traditional about things," says a People source. "Chris has been very straightforward about his intentions from the beginning," adds the insider. "Over the last few months, he's been bonding with all of Katherine's siblings and it was clear to her entire family they would get married." The happy couple was first spotted together in mid June, about a year after Chris split from Anna Faris.

Demi Lovato was full of emotion — and Emojis — as she shared posts from her longtime pal, Jenna Schubart's wedding over the weekend. "Congrats to my sis @jennaschubart and her new hubby Lee!!!" the singer captioned an Instagram Story snap that showed the bride and groom dancing after the ceremony (via Us Weekly). Demi's parents were also on hand for the festivities, although some of their dance moves were a little off, judging from the face-palm Emoji Demi included with a shot of her mom rocking out (or in Demi's words "twerking with her arms") on the dance floor. Another pic featured Demi's mom and dad dancing together in a sweet embrace. As she acknowledged on social media over New Year's, 2018 was challenging, to say the least, for Demi, who nearly died after a drug overdose in July. These days, Demi's sober and reportedly dating designer Henry Levy, who's also struggled with substance abuse issues. Her sobriety seemed to be on her mind ahead of Jenna's wedding, too. The day before she flew to Florida to see her friend get hitched, she double-tapped an Instagram meme of a group of people toasting — including one woman who was only pretending to be holding a glass. "When you're all about that new sober life," the caption read, "but still tryna hold onto your old idea."

John Krasinski thanks 'the love of my life' Emily Blunt at Critics' Choice Awards
The Critics' Choice Awards were chock full of cute Hollywood couples on Sunday night, but John Krasinski and Emily Blunt pretty much took the cake in the adorableness department. The husband and wife pair teamed up for last year's "A Quiet Place," which earned John some hardware over the weekend for Best Sci-Fi or Horror Movie. When John went up to accept the award for the film, which he directed and wrote the screenplay for in addition to starring in alongside Emily, he couldn't help but gush about her. "I just wanted to say thank you to all the incredible kindness that has been shown to this film – the critics, but most of all, everybody that has seen and loved this movie," he said with Emily at his side, according to Us Weekly. "It means the absolute world to our crew and to our cast and to no one else more than me," he continued. "I got to make a movie about a love story, and a love letter to my kids and I got to do it with the love of my life by my side. So, I'm pretty sure it doesn't get much better than that!" As John recently told HelloGiggles, he was drawn to the story because he sees it as "a story about, 'What would you really do for your children in order to protect them?" John and Emily share daughters Hazel, 4, and Violet, 2.

Celion Dion ditches R. Kelly track as Kanye West slams '#MuteRKelly" movement
Just days after Lady Gaga removed "Do What U Want," her 2013 collaboration with R. Kelly, from all streaming services and digital music retail outlets, Celine Dion is doing the same. TMZ reports that as of Monday, Jan. 14, the singer's team was working to take "I'm Your Angel," which R. Kelly wrote and Celine recorded for a 1998 Christmas album, off streaming services due to allegations that he sexually and physically abused women for decades. While Gaga's move earned high praise from Christina Aguilera over the weekend, efforts to "#MuteRKelly" are far from industry-wide. The singer's label, RCA, has put his music "on hold," according to TMZ, but has neither dropped him nor released him from his contract, which reportedly has two more albums left in it. Kanye West, meanwhile, made it clear during a weekend "Sunday Service" performance that he doesn't support ditching any musician's entire catalog over something they've been accused of having done. "They just gonna pull up full documentaries on him," Kanye said at one point during the show in reference to R. Kelly, according to Complex. "Then they gonna come with the Michael [Jackson] documentary. … We can all enjoy all their music all we want. I thought I wasn't going to go there today. If we're gonna tear down artists, let's go ahead and take [Leonardo] da Vinci out the Lourve. Let's take down all the art." He was reportedly referring to "Leaving Neverland," a new doc about the experiences of two men who claim the King of Pop molested them when they were underage that's slated to premiere at Sundance. Kelly has denied any criminal wrongdoing through his lawyer.

Three months after revealing she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Selma Blair shared a thoughtful and emotion-packed message on Instagram about the daily struggle of life with MS over the weekend. Calling the disease "a stadium of uncontrollable anxiety at times," she writes that "being sociable holds a heavy price" and her brain feels like it's "on fire" even though she's always cold. "We feel alone with it even though the loving support has been a godsend and appreciated," she continues. "People write me asking how I do it. I do my best. But I choke with the pain of what I have lost and what I dare hope for and how challenging it is to walk around. My smiles are genuine. This is ok. Life is an adventure with many shards of awakening. I can't sleep at night but daytime I have trouble staying awake." Referencing the stuffed animal she's holding in the photo accompanying the post. Selma adds: "I am a grown woman holding onto a bear that belonged to a sister type of mine. ( thank you @k.d.w.r ). We do what we can. I have a full week ahead with mothering and appointments and things to look forward to. But like many of us, I am praying. Soaking in love where I can. It's not easy. That's ok. I send love to you." Duchess Meghan responds to a young fan after being asked if she's having a boy or a girl
Royal parents-to-be Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry aren't planning to find out the gender of their first child until he or she is born. That's according to a 9-year-old who met the expectant duchess when she stepped out with Prince Harry and chatted with fans on Monday. Speaking to People, Kitty Dudley said Meghan approached her to ask how old she was and where she went to school. "I could see her bump," Kitty told a reporter, "and I asked if she was having a boy or a girl and she said, 'We don't know whether it's a boy or girl, we are keeping it as a surprise.'" Harry has mostly just raved about his long held desire to become a dad, though he's also hinted he's hoping for a girl. During the outing, Meghan revealed she's due in late April.
Travis Scott's Super Bowl deal included a large NFL donation to 'social justice accelerator' Dream Corps
When Travis Scott takes the stage at the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Feb. 3, he'll do so having pushed the NFL to support social justice. According to Billboard, Travis signed on for the controversial spot with a contract stipulating requiring the league to join him in making a joint $500,000 donation to Dream Corps. The organization was founded by Van Jones that works to "transform the criminal justice system, increase opportunity in the tech sector, build an inclusive green economy and shrink the culture of intolerance, fear and division," according to its website. Travis also negotiated an agreement from the NFL to work with him on "other initiatives," Billboard reports. "I back anyone who takes a stand for what they believe in," the rapper said in a statement."I know being an artist that it's in my power to inspire. So before confirming the Super Bowl Halftime performance, I made sure to partner with the NFL on this important donation. I am proud to support Dream Corps and the work they do that will hopefully inspire and promote change." The deal comes after multiple artists including Rihanna and JAY-Z declined to perform at the game in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick and players' rights to peacefully protest racial injustice and police brutality by kneeling during the National Anthem. Maroon 5 agreed to headline the Halftime show in September. Big Boi will also perform.
Hugh Grant asks for help finding a stolen script
Hugh Grant is hoping Twitter can help him locate a missing script. The actor tweeted out a plea for help on Sunday, writing, "In the unlikely chance that anyone knows who broke into my car tonight and stole my bag, please try and persuade them to at least return my script." Though he didn't identify the project he was working on, he added that there were "many weeks worth of notes and ideas" on the document and that his "children's medical cards" were among the items he lost, as well. Hugh ended the post by sharing the London address for Coach Films. Not surprisingly, the tweet got a few snarky replies — including "romcom scripts are popular with criminals." Ahem.

Cash Warren celebrated the big 4-0 over the weekend, courtesy of his wife, Jessica Alba, and her party-throwing skills. Staged at the couple's home in Beverly Hills, the bash centered around games like Twister, charades, beer pong and flip-the-cup, according to E! News. Guests including Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, Joel Madden and Nicole Richie were asked to come clad in PJ's as a nod to the game night vibe. According to one party-goer, Jessica took the mini-competitions pretty seriously. "Jessica is very competitive," the spy told E! News. "It was hilarious. She made a scene cheering loudly for herself when she scored a point in the corn hole." Luckily, she had a full bar plus a make-your-own-margarita bar on hand to help take the edge off. "They brought a cake out, sang 'Happy Birthday' to Cash and he made a really sweet speech afterward and talked very lovingly about Jessica," said E!'s source. "He talked about how amazing she is, and said he's so lucky to have her. They were [really] cute all night together." Before the end of the evening, a marching band performed, according to the source. Other celebs in attendance included Kourtney Kardashian, Olivia Munn and Rachel Zoe. "The elders were right," Cash wrote on Instagram after ushering in his fourth decade. "The grass IS greener on this side. Gliding into my 40s and feeling great … but one thing I've been thinking a lot about lately is how fragile it all is. There are no do overs. At the end, each decision ends up being precious.
