Beyonce launches scholarship for women, bids on $120M home

Yass, kween! Beyonce announced this week she's created a new scholarship program for women. According to a statement on her website, Formation Scholars was created to "encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident." Beginning this fall, Bey will give four scholarships to students studying creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies. Each recipient will be a current or prospective student at Berklee College of Music, Parsons School of Design, Howard University and Spelman College. Meanwhile, with the arrival of their twins just around the corner, Bey and Jay Z are reportedly getting more serious about their plan to move from New York to Los Angeles — and they may have finally found just the right pad. The New York Post reports Jay and Bey recently put in a bid of $120 million on a recently remodeled home in the Bel Air section of L.A. The mansion comes with eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and four pools, plus a media room, recording studio space, separate staff quarters and a sauna, spa and steam room. Security-wise, the place is a bit of a fortress, thanks to its location on top of a hill — and its bulletproof windows. The couple also own a home in New Orleans near the city's famed Garden District, although photos from their recent hangs with Bey's sister Solange Knowles, suggest they're not using the place even as a temporary residence.

A guy has one movie at Sundance and he gets 'Jurassic Park.' A woman has a hit at Sundance, and she has to make six more movies."

Other than its copious use of sexy adjectives, the recipe, Us Weekly notes, initially looks like nothing more than a how-to on pie-making. A closer look suggests some lyrics from her new song, "Bon Appetit" could be hiding in there. "This pie is gonna hit that sweet tooth, boy," Katy promises in the recipe, adding, "Calm those hungry eyes / Bon appetit, baby!" Speaking to Ryan Seacrest earlier this year, the singer revealed her forthcoming fifth studio album would feature "all kinds of stuff," including "some of that good, old Katy Perry fluffy stuff that you love so much." She also teased the new track: "I have one song called 'Bon Appetit' that I love. It's pretty sexual."

As Jesse Williams and Aryn Drakelee-Williams begin their divorce proceedings, a custody battle over their two children seems unlikely. According to TMZ, the "Gray's Anatomy" star has asked for joint legal and physical custody over the 3-year-old and 1-year-old the couple share. While it's unclear if they have a prenup, Jesse has asked the court not to award his wife spousal support. The split, which comes after five years of marriage, has reportedly been amicable.

Despite the restraining order that mandates Stephen Belfonte must stay away from his wife, Mel B, and her children, a judge consented to allow him monitored visitation with Madison, the 5-year-old daughter he shares with the former Spice Girl, according to TMZ. Stephen, who has been accused of physically abusing Mel, will be able to see Madison at a court-appointed location, with a court-appointed monitor, for four hours, twice a week. He will not have access to the daughter Mel shares with Eddie Murphy.
