Jennifer Garner smiles as she takes her kids to church
On ward and upward. Jennifer Garner flashed her smile repeatedly outside her church in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles on Sunday, July 9. The actress was there with the three kids she shares with her ex, Ben Affleck, and looked happy as ever as she greeted a friend with a kiss and made her way out of and into her car. Ben, meanwhile, appears to have truly moved on from his marriage — and moved in with "SNL" producer Lindsay Shookus, who is reportedly now living with Ben at his new home near Jen. Us Weekly recently quoted a source as saying Ben and Lindsay were having an affair before he split from Jen. A second source denied the claim, saying Ben and Lindsay started dating three months ago.

Amber Rose on her romance with 21 Savage: 'I'm thankful God brought this amazing person into my life'
Amber Rose is serious when it comes to her romance with rapper 21 Savage. "It's pretty amazing waking up every morning feeling love like this," she admitted on Instagram in the wee hours of Sunday, July 9 (via People). "I've cried endlessly and been hurt a lot in my life, I've been abused, talked to like I wasn't shit, been gaslighted and Slut shamed by men that I once loved and cared about. So I'm so thankful that God brought this amazing person in my life who genuinely has my back and is ready to 'pull up" to defend my honor by any means. Maybe he's just as broken as me and that's why we're perfect for each other but either way he's not going anywhere and neither am I." Amber, 33, also shared a clip in which Savage can be heard on the radio show "The Real Afterparty" explaining his feelings for her. "She's beautiful, right?" he asked the host. "We've just been kicking it, man. She's a real cool woman. She treats me like a king, so it is what it is. And no disrespect will be tolerated, at all. Keep your mouth closed, no hoes, no bitches, no nothing, 'cause I'm pulling up."

Lena Dunham's dog trainer defends her amid Lamby backlash
Was Lena Dunham unfairly criticized for giving up her rescue dog Lamby after finding she couldn't handle his behavioral problems? The last trainer the "Girls" creator worked with seems to think so. In an Instagram post earlier this year, Lena said she re-homed Lamby with an employee from The Zen Dog, where Lamby was being trained, because his biting and other bad behavior — a result, she said, of his having been abused as a puppy — made him impossible to care for. The shelter responded by saying Lamby was a totally normal dog when he stayed with them. But The Zen Dog's Matt Beisner tells People it's common for rescues with abusive pasts not to exhibit aggressive behavior until they've been out of a shelter for moths. "The dog that we see in the shelter is often not that the dog that we see in the home," he explains. "And often the dog in the home on day one is different than the dog that we see at the six-month mark. It's so predictable that I can almost put it on the calendar. When someone tells me they adopted a dog, I'm waiting for them to call." Matt agreed Lamby was aggressive when she contacted him. "She was at her wit's end," he recalls. "He didn't want to be touched and he didn't want to be handled. When he came to us that there were days where we had to carry his crate out to the yard and open it to let him come out because we couldn't safely put our hands near him to get a leash on him to walk him." He drank his own urine frequently, too. "That's pretty typical for dogs that come from breeding houses or breeding farms where they live in crates that are just stacked on top of each other," says Matt. "He was really rattled, but he was also a great dog and if you set him up in a life that is tolerable, he's actually a real joy and that's what we were working towards. I think if we spent less time and energy attacking this individual owner — who I get it, is a lightning rod — and more energy talking about how we could help dogs, we would have made a big difference in the past week."
Jennie Garth blames Tiffani Thiessen 'Drag Race' shade on 'weird editing'
When Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling appeared on "RuPaul's Drag Race" earlier this year, they threw some shade in the direction of their former "Beverly Hills 90210" costar Tiffani Thiessen, whom one contestant dressed up as for the drag competition. Jennie was giving her take on the contestant's "90210" parody sketch performance and appeared unable to utter Tiffani's name. "As Ti—, how do you say it?" she began. Tori cut her off. "Just say, 'That which we don't speak of," she quipped. Tori and Jennie laughed, then Jennie explained, "Yes, we know her as 'That which we don't speak of,'" in reference to the feud Tiffani has said ended up being the most hurtful to her. Despite Jennie's seeming confirmation of the feud-centric joke, Jennie gave an interview to Us Weekly over the weekend in which she blamed the show's editors for taking the moment out of context. "[It] really weird editing situation," she said. "Tori and I watched it and we were like, 'What?' Because I swear to God I was referring to the queen that was playing the character of Valerie and she had a really fancy name like Doolarey, I couldn't remember it and it looked different than it came across." The contestant's name was Aja, not Doolarey.

One year after they said "I do" in the English countryside, Ciara and Russell Wilson headed to Mexico with their daughter Sienna and Ciara's son Future. Having their kids with them didn't seem to dampen the romantic vibe of the trip. "I tried to plan things for the day, but he wouldn't let me.'Twas A Perfect Day," Ciara wrote on Instagram over the weekend, sharing a photo of the couple's bed and an ottoman covered in red rose petals that spelled out "R + C." The simple things are the sweetest…," Ciara wrote. In another pic, the singer posted an image of an airplane dragging a banner over the water that read, "Happy one year, baby. Yay!" Ciara echoed the words in her caption and added, "I'm Grateful to God for the Love he has given me, by putting you in my life. I have all that I need. Truly 1 of the Best years of my life."
Marisa Tomei 'was horrified' about playing Spider-Man's old aunt
In "Spider-man: The Homecoming," Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei, 52, plays Spider-Man's aunt, a role that has previously been played by Rosemary Harris when she was 74, and Sally Field at age 52. Speaking to the New York Times, Marisa recently admitted she didn't feel great about the fact that she'd been asked to play what the Times writer described as a "dowdy widow." "I was horrified," Marisa said. "Talk about crushed." She laughed, then continued: "I went through the whole negotiation without knowing. They just kept saying 'an iconic character, an iconic character.' It sounds kind of ridiculous, but it all happened very quickly. It was right before 'Captain America: Civil War' was shooting. Everything happened within maybe 10 days. But I was more focused on my deal, honestly. And then, the illustration was revealed to me." Still, she took the role. "There's nothing wrong with that depiction of the character," she said. "I don't want to be coming from an ageist point of view about that, at all. It was my own personal cross to bear at that moment. But in the scope of things, why not?"
