Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the celebrities who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-July 2018, starting with these two young lovebirds: Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin got engaged in the Bahamas on July 7, just weeks after they rekindled their off-and-on romance. The trouble-prone pop star reportedly popped the question at a restaurant at an island resort as other guests were salsa dancing. According to TMZ, "Justin's security told everyone to put their phones away because something special was about to happen." He then proposed in front of everyone. Both Justin's dad, Jeremy Bieber, and Hailey's father, Stephen Baldwin, seemingly confirmed the engagement news with congratulatory social media posts. On July 9, the "Sorry" singer confirmed that he and the "Drop the Mic" hostess are indeed engaged in a social media post of his own: "My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn't want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment [sic] each other so well!! Can't wait for the best season of life yet!" he wrote in the lengthy caption accompanying a slideshow of photos of himself and his future missus on Instagram. The next day, TMZ reported that Justin actually asked Stephen for permission to propose to Hailey "several weeks ago" during a face-to-face meeting. On July 11, The Blast added that when the newly engaged couple returned to New York City, they promptly went shopping for some companion pieces for the bride-to-be's massive engagement ring. Hailey reportedly bought Justin a ring with his initials encrusted in diamonds and a ring with "baby" spelled out in diamonds for herself. She also had her engagement ring resized and re-blinged, adding a few extra stones to the solitaire. The singer, meanwhile, snagged a 33-carat diamond-encrusted Patek Philippe watch for himself. In June, there were reports that Rihanna had dumped her billionaire beau of more than a year, Hassan Jameel, but the duo were caught on camera vacationing together — and engaging in a verbal altercation — in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on July 6. In photos published by DailyMail.com, the duo can be seen gesturing angrily and arguing while soaking up the sun at a resort. On July 11, the singer took to Instagram to seemingly make light of the situation by sharing a photo of a lioness roaring at a cowering male lion, which she captioned, "when u think u know more bout soccer 😼💪🏿 #worldcup2018." On June 1, MTO News reported that Rihanna broke up with Hassan because she "just got tired of him." Said a source, "Rihanna and him were together for a while. It was a good relationship, but now it's over. … Of course Rihanna broke his heart. That's what she does — break men's hearts."

Jill Zarin is dating again following the death of her husband of 17 years, Bobby Zarin, in January. On July 7, the reality TV star stepped out with clothing executive Gary Brody at Wimbledon, where they reportedly watched several tennis matches along with her daughter, Ally Shapiro. (The duo were previously seen together at the afterparty for the premiere of "Gotti" in New York City on June 14.) The star of "The Real Housewives of New York City" released a statement to People magazine shooting down a tabloid report that she started dating Gary as soon as Bobby died. "I don't typically comment on tabloid stories but I felt it was important to set the record straight and let you all know I haven't been dating anyone for six months," she said. "I just started accepting a few dinner dates after much thought and support from my close friends and family. I felt Bobby would want me to start to live again." Jill added that she and Gary were "friends first and still are" and that their relationship is "still evolving." She also said that they "have a lot in common and enjoy each other's company." Concluded the reality star, "I am taking things very slow as I continue to heal. Thank you all for your love and support. It means the world to me."

On July 6, several media outlets reported that there's trouble in paradise for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. "They've been hanging by a thread for months," an alleged insider told Radar Online. "Now they're as good as broken up and there will be no wedding." Said another source, "Miley's been spending a lot more time at her parents' house. … She needs time to herself." Continued the insider, "She's accomplished a lot in her life, but there's still a lot she wants to do — and Miley doesn't want to have to answer to anybody, least of all a husband." Yet another source said Liam is "over it." Continued the insider, "He wants kids and doesn't want to keep putting it off. … It's ultimatum time for Liam and pals aren't betting on Miley making the commitment he wants!" But all seemed well with the duo on July 3 when, according to Us Weekly, they stepped out in Nashville to go bowling with friends, including Miley's sister Brandi Cyrus and "The Bachelorette" couple Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth. The pair also spent the Fourth of July together, as seen in photos posted by a fan account on Twitter.
Ashley Greene and Paul Khoury tied the knot at the Nestldown retreat in Los Gatos, California, on July 6. "It was a beautiful and unique venue with redwood groves, waterfalls and beautiful ponds with lily pads," a source told E! News. Robert Pattinson, Aaron Paul and his wife, Evan Ross, Josh Duhamel and girlfriend Eiza Gonzales, Cara Santana, Tom Welling and Sean Faris were among the more than 100 guests invited to the outdoor nuptials. "They watched them recite beautiful personal vows in the middle of a beautiful forest," said E!'s source. "It was a fairy tale setting and they couldn't have been happier." The bride donned a custom Katie May gown and a long veil during the wedding and a sheer lace dress with 3D floral appliqués by Windi Williams-Stern during the reception, to which she and her new husband arrived in a miniature open-air train.
Us Weekly reported on July 10 that Nicole Scherzinger and Grigor Dimitrov have called it quits after two years as a couple. After the former Pussycat Doll started sharing cryptic inspirational posts on Instagram, a source told the magazine that the duo had in fact parted ways, though neither she nor the Bulgarian tennis pro have confirmed the news.
On July 11, Radar Online reported that Larry David's daughter Cazzie David has moved on from Pete Davidson with John F. Kennedy's only grandson, Harvard Law School student Jack Schlossberg. The duo reportedly "started hanging out" earlier this summer while spending time in Martha's Vineyard, though a source told Radar (which should be taken with a grain of salt) that Jack is "hanging out with different people." Added the alleged insider, "Maybe it could be something, but right now he's not looking for a relationship."
During an interview with "Extra" that hit the Internet on July 8, Dwayne Johnson revealed why he and longtime love Lauren Hashian — whom he recently referred to as his wife — still haven't tied the knot. "We did not get married yet, no," said The Rock. "We just haven't had a chance to. We keep planning it. Then she got pregnant." The duo welcomed their second child together in early 2018.
Jennifer Lopez prompted speculation that she and Alex Rodriguez had gotten engaged when she took to Instagram on July 5 to share a photo of herself and her beau lounging on the beach with her hand (with a noticeable sparkler on her ring finger) draped across his torso. During an interview for the cover of the August 2018 issue of Marie Clare UK, which hit the Internet on July 9, Vanessa Kirby addressed the rumors that she and Tom Cruise connected romantically on the set of "Mission: Impossible – Fallout," which kicked off after they were photographed smooching on set while shooting a scene for the new action flick. "Even though the [film] crew were there, it was all [in the tabloids] like, 'The next wife falls at his feet,'" said the English actress. "The most disconcerting thing was the people I didn't think would believe it, did, and they were texting my boyfriend, asking, 'Are you okay?' I don't think they believe anything they read now because you just can't. None of it is real. To be getting married to him? Not even a snog, it was marriage." The star of "The Crown," who's in a long-term relationship with "War & Peace" star Callum Turner, added of her own relationship, "I've been lucky because I barely get recognized, and I keep my relationship super-private. On July 9, Blac Chyna raised questions about the status of her relationship with YBN Almighty Jay, who announced on June 19 that they'd called it quits, by posting a photo of the teenage rapper performing shirtless, along with the caption, "F—, Im in LOVE! Thank you @ybnalmightyjay." (She's since deleted the photo.) That same day, Jay posted a since-deleted pic of Chyna, which he captioned, "I Love The Air That You Breathe," along with the heart and key emojis. Their public professions of love come just days after TMZ reported that the former reality star has been dating professional boxer Devin Haney for "two to three months."
Yolanda Hadid and Matt Minnis called it quits a few months ago, Us Weekly reported on July 6. The reality star started dating the Los Angeles-based businessman in late 2017.
Luann de Lesseps is dating her married agent, Rich Super, who recently filed for divorce, Page Six reported on July 11. They've reportedly been seeing each other "for a few weeks" and things are already getting serious. "He's smitten with her, and she's very excited about it," said a source. "It's very, very new [but they're] exploring it," chimed in a second insider. Rich has reportedly been representing Luann for several months.
It took nearly a month for media outlets to pick up on the fact that Chris Masterson and Yolanda Pecora quietly got engaged earlier this year. On June 12, the actress took to Instagram to share a photo of her hand with a diamond sparkler on her ring finger, which she captioned with the heart emoji. The pic shows Yolanda's hand being held by the "Malcolm in the Middle" star's hand as they sit across from each other on a boat. The private pair have reportedly been an item for at least a year, though it's unclear when, exactly, they started seeing each other.
Josh Abbott married Taylor Parnell, the mother of his 14-month-old daughter, Emery Farryn, in front of 250 guests at Brazos Hall in Austin, Texas, on July 8. The duo's little girl served as a bridesmaid, while the groom's brother and two members of his eponymous band were among the groomsmen. The country crooner told People magazine that his wedding was an "incredible day and life event" and that it was a "dream come true" to see Taylor walk down the aisle as a string quartet performed his song "I'm Your Only Flaw." He explained of their decision to forego writing their own vows, "I wanted to but Taylor said she didn't want to compete with a professional songwriter, so we let our officiant choose the way they'll be presented." The couple are honeymooning in Cabos San Lucas, Mexico, where they fell in love two years ago.
Us Weekly reported on July 10 that Camille Grammer and her fiancé, David C. Meyer, were recently spotted "meeting with a wedding planner on the Big Island of Hawaii" and that they plan to tie the knot on "one of the last weekends in October" near the Four Seasons hotel. Said a source, "Invites will be going out soon because it's a destination wedding. … Camille had wanted to just go away and elope, but David wanted to have a party to celebrate their love and the start of their life together, so they will probably invite around 150 people." The insider adds that the reality TV star has "never been happier." Said the source, "She didn't know if she was ever going to find true love again after [ex-husband Kelsey Grammer], but David just is the perfect partner. … He is completely in love with Camille and excited to start their life together." Camille's two children with Kelsey will reportedly be part of the nuptials, which will not be televised — though the bride's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" co-stars will be on the guest list. "She doesn't want to have Bravo cameras at the wedding because she just wants it to be a drama-free time," said the insider. As for her wedding dress, Camille has reportedly "been in contact" with designer Malan Breton, for whom her daughter, Mason Grammer, has modeled.
Ledisi took to Instagram on July 6 to reveal that she'd secretly married her longtime boyfriend, photographer-director Ron T. Young, during a previous trip to New Orleans. "The last time I was home in #nola I had a party with my best friend. #alltheway," she captioned a photo of herself in a wedding gown with her new husband.
The newest member of the cast of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Gina Kirschenheiter, split from her husband of eight years, Matthew Kirschenheiter, while shooting the upcoming 13th season of the reality show, the former couple said in a statement to Us Weekly. "After careful consideration and deep thought, we have decided to end our legal marriage. With that said, we will never end our friendship and will forever remain family," they said. "We are dedicated to raising our children together in a happy, healthy, loving environment. We will be navigating this difficult process with respect and grace for one another. We kindly ask for others to treat us with this same respect and grace as we move through this family adjustment." Gina reportedly filed for divorce on April 2, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and asking for sole physical custody and joint legal custody of the three children she shares with Matthew. During a July 3 interview with Us Weekly, she hinted that all was not well in her marriage: "I think I did see [the show] as an opportunity that would be good for us, 'cause we're buddies, we're friends, we're just going to navigate this together," she said. "And then when he couldn't film, and he's also away a lot, I think that it probably did have more of a negative effect on our relationship and made things harder. Now I'm basically going on this venture, and he's not included and involved in it, and it creates even more distance than is already there." On July 6, TMZ published video of Porsha Williams and her boyfriend visiting a jewelry store in New York City. When asked if they were shopping for an engagement ring, the star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" briefly hesitated before responding that they "were just looking at everything." Porsha gave her Instagram followers a peek at her beau — who was recently identified as Atlanta businessman Dennis McKinley — in a selfie from her birthday on June 22 (pictured).
There won't be a long engagement for Katharine McPhee and David Foster, Us Weekly reported on July 5. "Katharine is telling close friends she doesn't want to have a long engagement," a source told the tabloid. "They are very much in love, and have previous marriages under their belts." (David has been married four times, while the singer-actress was married to Nick Cokas for six years. David actually played piano as Kat serenaded her ex-husband during their 2008 nuptials.) According to the Us Weekly source, the duo "are planning to be married in the next nine months" and there "will be a prenuptial agreement." Says the insider, "David says that Katharine is his true love and muse. … They do want to have a family."
During an interview with "Extra" that hit the Internet on July 11, Iggy Azalea opened up about the nature of her relationship with "Kream" collaborator Tyga, whom she's known for nearly a decade (since she was 19) and to whom she was linked in April. "I'm still single," she said. "We've been friends for so long. He's a nice guy — I just feel like people you know for so long, you just know too much about him."
During an interview with OK! magazine that hit the Internet on July 9, Cheryl Cole's former Girls Aloud bandmate, Kimberley Walsh, dished on the English TV personality's breakup from Liam Payne after two and a half years as a couple. "She's doing great but I guess it's just hard isn't it?" said Kimberley. "When you have a baby your whole being and whole life changes and for her obviously having a relationship in the public eye just makes it even harder and his career obviously takes him out of the country for long periods so it's hard." On July 1, Cheryl and Liam, who welcomed a son in March 2017, announced that they'd split.
In honor of the seventh anniversary of Maria Shriver filing to divorce Arnold Schwarzenegger on July 1, 2011, TMZ reported on July 7 that the duo are no closer to officially ending their marriage. "Our sources say Arnold has not shown interest in making the divorce final. As for Maria, she's waffled … sometimes pushing for a divorce but other times just letting it ride. Everyone we've spoken with says Arnold and Maria are not getting back together … yet, when push comes to shove, they both seem unwilling to pull the trigger," wrote the webloid. TMZ also reports that while there were hiccups along the way to banging out a 50/50 settlement for the estranged couple, there were no major blocks, making the fact that they're still married all the more baffling.
DJ Nabs told Page Six as part of a July 9 report that his girlfriend, Jessica Santos, has been cheating on him with Nas. He claims he found "explicit" and "sexual" texts and emails that prove they had "a sexual relationship" stemming back to 2014, when she was still in a relationship with another man. Nabs alleges that when he confronted his girlfriend with the evidence of her infidelity, she "defiantly admitted to sleeping with [Nas]" in May 2018, claiming that she and Nabs "were over" at the time. According to the DJ-producer, Jessica also said that "the sexual texts are a minuscule part" of her "friendship" with Nas. Nabs told Page Six that he fell for Jessica when he was married to another woman and not long after she got out of her relationship with the other man, who also accused her of cheating with Nas. "[I] just accepted Nas was a friend of hers … [but] she was sleeping with Nas during our relationship," Nabs told Page Six. "He knows I was with Jessica. He knows I left my wife," Nabs added of Nas. "I'm sitting in this situation betrayed by both of them, and I don't owe them anything." Nabs told Page Six that he chose to go public with the allegations as a way of apologizing to his wife.
CNN host Christiane Amanpour and her husband, former journalist Jamie Rubin, are divorcing after 20 years of marriage, Page Six reported on July 10. "They are still really good friends," a source said of the couple, who fell in love in Sarajevo and tied the knot in Italy in 1998. They have a teenage son.
According to The Blast, Monet Mazur filed to divorce writer-producer Alex de Rakoff in Los Angeles on July 6. The actress, who's appeared in "Monster-in-Law," "Blow" and "Mystery Men," is set to star on the upcoming football drama "All American" on The CW. The former couple have two children.
Steve Harvey took to Instagram on July 8 to shoot down rumors that there's trouble in paradise for him and his third wife, Marjorie. "Vacation time is here let's go girl," he captioned a photo of himself and his missus boarding a private plane to Italy, where they've been yachting around Portofino. On July 5, Radar Online reported that Marjorie walked out on Steve because he was getting too close to their friend Kris Jenner. "There was a huge blowout fight and Marjorie walked out threatening divorce," said an alleged insider. "There's no way she was going to put up with Steve hanging around a man-eater like Kris — especially since he's proven time and again he can't be trusted." But another source insisted to Radar that Kris has "no interest in Steve romantically." Said the source, "Kris is pursuing Steve — but it's all about business. She admires his TV success and wants to learn all his secrets. … Kris has tried to produce a long list of shows, but they've all been disasters. Meanwhile, Steve has the golden touch when it comes to TV. That's why Kris is looking to him for professional help." A third source said that Marjorie still has plenty of cause for concern, though: "Steve has a wandering eye and he loves women!" said the insider. "He's cheated during his previous marriages, and Marjorie knows he could do it again. She knows her man's weakness — knows everything about him! That's why she watches him so closely."
Radar Online reported on July 9 that Janet Jackson and former love Jermaine Dupri have reconnected (again). "Janet's main priority right now is her baby Eissa and her health, but they are totally hooking up and have been on and off since after her divorce from Wissam [Al Mana]," said an alleged insider. "They have always remained close friends, but Janet turned to Jermaine for support after her messy divorce from Wissam. … The chemistry was undeniable and the flame was reignited almost instantly." Continued the source, "Janet and Jermaine talk on a daily basis and they really confide in each other with everything. … Jermaine was really there for her when [her father Joe Jackson] died. … He was one of the only people that she let in when he was ill and he was there for Janet every step of the way." Rumors that the former couple had reconciled first kicked off in late 2017.
Laverne Cox and boyfriend Kyle Draper, who went public with their romance in April, celebrated their first anniversary on July 10. "Happy 1 year anniversary babe. I love you so much!" the actress captioned a collage of photos of them together on Instagram.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra spent the Fourth of July riding Citi Bikes in New York City with Joe Jonas and his fiancée, Sophie Turner. E! News obtained exclusive photos of the group outing, during which the "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" actor and the "Quantico" star were reportedly "touchy feely." Maksim Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram on July 8 to wish wife Peta Murgatroyd a happy anniversary. In the process, he revealed that the duo actually became husband and wife during a super-small, super-casual ceremony at City Hall and not at their lavish, star-studded nuptials, which came later. "Before we did it in front of 300 … This was one of the most exciting days of my life! Everything felt very festive, I couldn't take my eyes off my future wife the whole ride to the City Hall and it was is if New York City herself was marrying us … I can't believe it's been a year. I still can't believe you chose me. As part of an interview that Us Weekly published on July 10, Amanda Stanton revealed that she met her boyfriend, Bobby Jacobs, on Instagram after he slid into her DMs. "We don't really have a great story. I wish we had a more exciting story. We were saying that we should just say we met at the dog park or something," said the "Bachelor in Paradise" favorite. "I guess it's pretty normal these day. … It just is funny to say," she added of meeting on social media. As for what her two daughters think of the professional beach volleyball player and entrepreneur, "They love him. It's really sweet," said Amanda. "I waited a while this time to introduce them, but they love him and he's so good with them. They have a lot of fun. He's like a big kid so they have a lot of fun with him." During a recent interview with Tidal's Rap Radar podcast, Will Smith dished on his marriage of more than two decades with Jada Pinkett Smith. "We don't even say we're married anymore," he said.
