Jennifer Garner: Tabloids added to pressure in her personal life
For 10 years, Jennifer Garner's block has been full of cars belonging to paparazzi and reporters hoping to snag a tidbit of information about her family — and it's taken a real toll. "What I think I've learned is that the scrutiny in your private life puts a pressure to make something happen," the "Alias" star says in a forthcoming "CBS Sunday Morning" segment (via the New York Post). "You feel a pressure to hurry up and get married, 'cause you think that'll end the — 'Are they engaged? Are they not?' And that's true in the reverse, as well. If you are — if you know, if there is any inkling of trouble, or if the tabloids decide there's trouble, it can create trouble." Jen and her ex, Ben Affleck, are reportedly on good terms now and have been working hard to be strong coparents for their children. But the pressure of public interest in her personal life certainly added to an already difficult situation. "I really feel the stress of it. I really — I could cry talking about it," she says. "But to be honest, public scrutiny … Everyone says, 'Oh, you've had to go through this in public.' The public isn't what's hard. What's hard is going through it."

Travis Scott posts rare tweet about Kylie Jenner
Other than one post of their date night at the Met Gala and a photo of Stormi shortly after her birth, Kylie Jenner's boyfriend, Travis Scott, tends to keep his home life out of social media. He made an exception this week. When Kylie's Forbes cover — which hails her as the soon-to-be "youngest-ever, self-made billionaire" — landed Wednesday, July, 11, Travis took a break from working on his new album and hopped on Twitter to share a photo of the issue, along with a sweet tweet. "CANT BE MORE PROUD 💛💛❤️," he posted. Posted relatively late in the day, the tweet could certainly reflect the mild controversy brewing around Forbes' language. Critics have noted Kylie was born into an extremely wealthy family and had plenty of help in creating and developing her cosmetics empire. Said one prickly Twitter user: "Calling kylie jenner a 'self-made billionaire' is like claiming you made soup from scratch because you opened a can and reheated it."

Meghan Markle is doing her own makeup for royal events
Duchess Meghan's friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin would like to remind the world that the former actress is no diva when it comes to her glam routine. After spotting the newly minted royal at Buckingham Palace alongside her husband, Prince Harry, this week at a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force, Daniel couldn't help but gush about her stunning appearance. "Can we say my love #Meghanmarkle looking #chic AF in @dior today! #slay" he wrote on Instagram (via People) . In the comments, a follower asked if he'd been responsible for her makeup that day. "I didn't but she's so good doing it herself, right?" he replied. "She did her make-up herself for this," he told another commenter. Meghan, who had a makeup artist on hand during her tenure on "Suits," reportedly stopped using her longtime hair and makeup artist, Lydia Sellers, when she began the process of moving to London to be with Harry.

Why Justin Bieber 'needed' to propose to Hailey Baldwin
The Bieber fever that came with Justin Bieber's success may have had something to do with his decision to propose to Hailey Baldwin so soon after they rekindled their previously short-lived romance. "He has been a kid sensation for as long as he can remember," a source tells Us Weekly, adding that the singer "needed" his new engagement. "You become muted to that fame," the source explained. "He finally feels somewhat normal and it's a right time for him to settle down with one person." It makes sense that Hailey might be that person for Justin, too. A few years back, when he was struggling to turn over a new leaf after what seemed like an extended rebellion against his teen heartthrob image, Hailey stuck by his side. "I've known him for a long time, since I was about 13," she told E! News in 2015. "He's just going through a time in his life where he's transitioning in a really positive way and he needs good people around him. And I'm trying to be a good friend and be there for him and support him." Justin confirmed he'd popped the question to his longtime pal on Instagram on Monday, July 9, sharing a sweet message in which he called her the "love of my life."
Brandi Glanville on making peace with LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian: 'If you can't beat them, join them'
In a major sea change, it seems that after years of fighting, Brandi Glanville and LeAnn Rimes have come to terms with the uncomfortable nature of their relationship. "We were having a birthday party just recently and we got into a really serious conversation," Brandi — who split from Eddie Cibrian after LeAnn had an affair with him in 2009 — said in a recent edition of Heidi and Spencer Pratt's "Make Speidi Famous Again" podcast (via the Daily Mail). "We just kind of had it out about what is right, what is wrong, what's better for the kids," Brandi added of her relationship with the woman Eddie went on to marry. "If you can't beat them, join them. She's always going to post family photos, she's always gonna say 'my boys' and I just have to accept it or I can continue to fight with her, which I don't want to do," she explained. "They love her, she loves them, and everyone's happy." In April, Brandi hinted that the two had put their issues behind them with a selfie from a party for Jack, Brandi and Eddie's son, and LeAnn's stepson.
Amanda Seyfried feels more 'empowered' at work since having a baby
Becoming a mother has already had an effect on Amanda Seyfried's approach to acting. "I feel more empowered [since having a daughter]," Amanda tells PorterEdit in the magazine's new cover story. "I'll say 'No, I can't do that press trip, I'm spending time with my daughter.' 'Oh, you want my top off for that part? How about we scrap that sex scene altogether?' And 'No, I'm not wearing those thongs.'" The "Mamma Mia" star also gets candid about the development of her relationship with her husband, Thomas Sadoski, who was married to his now ex-wife when they met. "[He] never flirted, never disrespected his wife. That was another reason why I thought, later on, that I could marry him," the actress reveals. The two reportedly began dating after Thomas filed for divorce. "It was amazing," Amanda says of the early days of their romance. "It felt healthy and freeing and clean. We can tell the story without any guilt." The couple married quietly last year.
Kristen Bell slams Donald Trump's immigration policy: 'Families fight back'
Kristen Bell is serious about fighting for families that have been separated at the U.S. border as a result of Donald Trump's immigration policy. "As a mother, my family is my first priority. And do not underestimate the love of family," she recently told People. "When you attack one family, you attack all families. And families fight back." The mother of two's comments come on the heels of her company's GoFundMe campaign to raise $20,000 for RAICES, a Texas non-profit that provides immigration legal services and is working to reunite detained families with their children. "We will not rest until these children are back where they belong," Kristen adds. The fundraiser is being hosted by This Bar Saves Lives, a snack bar company Kristen co-founded with the mission of "[ending] childhood malnutrition worldwide" by translating each bar purchase into a donation of food aid to children in need. Their GoFundMe is set up in a similar way. "We're going to match every donation you give to RAICES, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000," the campaign states. According to People, the president's "zero tolerance" immigration policy led to the removal of 2,342 children from their parents — many of whom are seeking asylum and have passed interviews designed to gage whether their fear is credible — as those parents await prosecution for attempting to enter the country illegally. In recent weeks, George and Amal Clooney, Khloe Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Amber Heard, Sia, Lena Dunham and dozens of other celebrities have also protested the separation of families and donated towards efforts to reunite migrant children separated from their parents.
Pete Davidson supports Ariana Grande at Brooklyn show
Ariana Grande and her fiance, Pete Davidson, remained stuck to one another like glue in New York City over the past few days. On Wednesday, July 11, when Ariana performed at an Amazon Music event at a venue in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, her "SNL" star hubby-to-be was right there backstage supporting her until the two left together, according to Us Weekly. The lovebirds shared some laughs with friends at Ludlow House the night before, where an onlooker noticed Ariana repeatedly resting her head on her man's shoulder. Even when they weren't together, their better halves didn't seem too far from their minds. On Wednesday, Ariana shared a yearbook photo of Pete as a little boy on her Instagram Story. "Mood for life @petedavidson," she captioned the shot. "Kind of crying….. kind of killing it n keeping a positive outlook. This is the best photo on earth." The two got engaged earlier this year after just a few weeks of dating, although friends have said they're "not rushing" to say "I do."
Mark Wahlberg's already betting money the Patriots will win the Super Bowl
Once a Pats fan, always a Pats fan. With two months to go before their season opener, it's hard to know how the New England Patriots will be looking come Super Bowl 2019. That minor fact clearly hasn't dampened the faith of Boston boy Mark Wahlberg, though. A snitch recently spotted Mark at the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, placing what the New York Post describes as "a hefty bet" on his hometown team winning next year's championship. He also reportedly threw a few bucks in the direction of 2018 Super Bowl champs, the Philadelphia Eagles. The actor and producer is reportedly on the Jersey Shore while he works to open an outpost of his Wahlburgers chain at the casino.
Nick Cannon jokes his twins are already paying their own bills
If you're old enough to order pets online and charge thousands of dollars on Amazon, you're probably old enough to pay for all that shopping. So we're glad to hear Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey's 7-year-old twins are starting to take some responsibility for their spending habits, which apparently included the purchase of a new dog. ("The dog has been canceled," Maria assured Jimmy Kimmel last month after revealing her son attempted to sign the family up for a new pup.) "My kids pay bills and stuff at this point," Nick says in the new issue of Us Weekly. Though we gotta assume he was joking, he also said the twins are starting to show signs they could end up onstage some day like their parents. "They're definitely entertainers," he says. "They're hams!" On a more serious note, Nick adds: "They've got a lot of energy and great personalities. They are very intelligent, warm and loving, so I couldn't ask for anything more."
