Jessica Simpson perfected the art of the cozy Saturday this past weekend, with a big assist from her adorable, 6-month-old daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson. "We just get each other 😍 #BIRDIEMAE," the mom of three wrote alongside a sweet, makeup-free snap of the mother-daughter pair in PJs. Shot in what looks like Jess and her husband Eric Johnson's living room, the shot shows couches covered in pillows behind the cute duo. "Girl you look about 15 without makeup! #BLESSED," wrote one impressed fan. Others pointed out how much the bright blue-eyed Birdie looks like her big sister, Maxi Drew, these days. But most just couldn't resist the sweet Saturday vibes Jess and Birdie were clearly enjoying. "Oh so cute," wrote one fan, "morning time baby snuggles!"

"The Morning Show," Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston's forthcoming Apple TV series, would have been a completely different animal were it not for the #MeToo movement. Speaking to her friend Natalie Portman for Harper's Bazaar's new cover story, Reese explains how and why things veered away from theoriginal concept for the series, which drew largely on Brian Stetzer's 2013 non-fiction book, "Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV." "When we started, the show was just a book, and nothing had happened with Harvey Weinstein or Les Moonves yet," says Reese, who executive produces, co-owns and stars in the show with Jen. "The Roger Ailes scandal had happened the year before. Then, in October 2017, all those stories started to break about the way women in media were treated," she continues. "We decided we needed to start from square one and redevelop everything with more of a slant about the truth coming out in media and people being held accountable for their behavior." Asked if she had "any fear about depicting … how the man feels" in a scenario involving sexual misconduct, Reese says she and Jen wanted to deal with the many layers of people and emotions who are affected by such a situation. "As artists, we try to find the shreds of humanity in any crisis and open people's minds to see all sides of things," Reese explains. "What does it mean to be a person who loses their entire life? Their family. Their career. The #MeToo movement has been so emotional on all sides. I remember talking to women and holding them while they cried. I can't even imagine what it must have been like to be the spouse or the child of one of these people who was exposed. With the men, we ask, Where is the contrition? How are they supposed to behave? We deal with all of these questions as the season goes on." She adds that the characters she and Jen play are set up to show how someone's background can change how they operate as women in male-dominated industries. Since they share similar "ideologies," Reese says, the relationship between the two characters is "not antagonistic or competitive. It's second-wave feminism meets fourth-wave feminism." "The Morning Show" premieres on Apple TV+ on Nov. 1.

Among the many fun, gossipy tidbits Elton John shares in his new memoir, "Me," is a story that involves a newly single Princess Diana, a flirty Richard Gere and a hot-headed and jealous Sylvester Stallone at a dinner party thrown by the "Rocket Man" singer and David Furnish sometime in the '90s. It seems Elton — and Sly — spotted Richard and Lady Di engaged in a deep, fireside chat before guests were invited to be seated in the dining room. Sylvester, Elton writes, was not happy about Richard seemingly moving in on Diana. "As the dinner guests moved into the dining room, Stallone and Gere were nowhere to be found, John writes. Furnish discovered them squaring off in the corridor 'apparently about to settle their differences over Diana by having a fist-fight," Elton writes (via Jezebel). When the meal ended, Diana and Richard apparently got back to talking. Sylvester didn't like that, either. Writes Elton: "'I never would have come,' he snapped, as David and I showed him to the door, 'if I'd known Prince f—in' Charming was gonna be here.' Then he added: 'If I'd wanted her, I would've taken her!' Elton adds that Diana may not have "realized what was happening" between the two guys. "Or maybe stuff like that happened all the time," he adds, "and she was used to it."

Now that Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev are officially an item, is a trip down the aisle or a visit from the stork on the horizon? Not quite, according to Nikki. "Oh gosh no," she told E! "Marriage and babies are really scary for me right now," she said, adding that someday she hopes to be ready for both. "I want a boy and a girl and I want to knock it out all at once," Nikki said on "The Bellas Podcast" last month. Artem appeared on the same episode. Asked how many kids he might like to have he said, "If I have to throw a number, I would probably say two because that's how I grew up and I had a good relationship with my brother." Nikki asked whether he meant he'd be up for having two kids with her, prompting his quick confirmation. Artem's response? "Um, yeah!"

But as she told Instagram followers over the weekend, returning to work as a new mom may be challenging but it can also be inspiring, as it has been for Amy. Sharing a photo of herself cradling her baby, Amy wrote: "5 months today and like all moms I love him so much it hurts. Im feeling strong and good and like I'm still a human being with interests and ambitions and goals I'm excited to reach. It's felt good to be back at work. I was so worried about it and was afraid to go back after he was 3 months old. A couple days I've cried from missing him. Elizabeth Hurley reflects on losing her grandmother to breast cancer

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month gets underway, Elizabeth Hurley is reminding the public there was a time when discussing the disease was taboo. The actress and model, who's served as the Global Ambassador for the Estée Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Campaign for two decades, opened up about losing her grandmother to cancer on the Monday, Oct. 7, edition of "This Morning," revealing how it affected her family back in 1992. "I've been working to raise awareness for breast cancer for 25 years," Liz explains, according to the Daily Mail. "I lost my grandmother to breast cancer. At that time, nobody spoke about breast cancer," she said. Liz has said in the past that her grandmother still had trouble talking about the disease even after she told her family what she was going through. "When I started working for the breast cancer campaign, my grandmother had just died," she said at the time. "When I was told it was started because women were dying, it really rang home for me, because she didn't talk about it. There was no awareness, no pink ribbon campaign."
