Justin and Hailey Bieber's wedding has already irked people staying at the venue
Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber's pre-wedding save-the-date cards read, "we are honored to have you on this special day." But as the couple's second wedding approaches, guests at the hotel where Justin and Hailey plan to tie the knot Sunday, Sept. 30, are feeling a substantially less honored. TMZ reports the Montage hotel at South Carolina's Montage Palmetto Bluff sent hotel guests an email "late Wednesday" telling them they won't be allowed to access the "spa, a pool and a fancy restaurant" on the property from Sunday noon through Tuesday at noon. According to TMZ, the hotel offered refunds and various alternatives to guests, whom the site described as being "livid" about the sudden change. The couple has reportedly booked Canadian R&B singer Daniel Caesar for their second round of "I dos." They legally wed at a courthouse in New York City last September.

Diplo tries to win back Joe Jonas' friendship in hilarious new video for 'Lonely'
Poor Diplo, aka Thomas Wesley, sealed his friendship's demise with Joe Jonas the night he married Sophie Turner — and Diplo posted the whole thing on the internetz. That's the premise of "Lonely," a hilarious new video from Diplo and the Jonas Brothers that hit YouTube on Friday, Sept. 27. The video opens with a sad cowboy-styled Diplo spotting a DailyMail article whose headline reads, "Diplo ruined my secret wedding." Looking forlorn, the producer and DJ shakes his head, then repeatedly tries to contact Joe. Joe, however, simply ignores the calls and texts. Moving on to Plan B, Diplo sends his onetime friend an Edible Arrangement. Joe chucks the card, samples the dessert and moves on. "He literally, like, live-streamed [our wedding] with dog face filters," Joe told radio show host Roman Kemp in an interview on "Capital Breakfast" earlier this year. "He did ruin it. I love Diplo, but he loves his 'gram more than a 13-year-old," the singer griped. Diplo has since said he "didn't know it was a serious wedding," telling listeners in a June edition of "On Air with Ryan Searcrest: "I really didn't know what was going on. I was hanging out with him after the Billboard Awards. I said, 'This is crazy, let me record it.' And there was mad people with cameras. I didn't know I was the only person recording this. I was sitting next to Khalid and we were both with our phones out. I had no idea that I was the only one doing it." As "Lonely" nears its finale, the Jonas Brothers finally agree to call Diplo back. They congregate in the studio, ready to Facetime the DJ — sorry, ready to Facetime the sad cowboy who has just completed some kind of rodeo clown performance — but as soon as Diplo goes to answer the call, having seen who it's from, his iPhone screen flashes the dreaded empty battery sign and the phone dies.

Gwyneth Paltrow says Brad Falchuk, Chris Martin are friends 'because of conscious uncoupling'

One year into her marriage to Brad Falchuk, Gwyneth Paltrow says Brad and her ex-husband, Chris Martin, are friends "because of conscious uncoupling," the terms she and Chris used when they announced their split in 2014. "Chris and I really thought we would really love to do this in a way that we remain a family, even though we're not a couple," she explained while appearing on an Advertising Week panel in New York City on Thursday, Sept. 26, according to Us Weekly. "People freaked out. They were like, 'This is nuts. This is insane. We hate you,'" she recalled. "At this point, it's something that even though people were like, 'What is this? We don't get it,' a lot of pushback, now it's something that people are like, 'Oh wait. Yeah, this might be a good thing to do,'" she told the audience. "Again, people come up to me all the time and they [say], 'If you hadn't written that, I never would have taken the approach of forgiveness and trying to put down spite and actively doing that for the sake of my children,' et cetera." Gwyneth and Brad recently announced they were finally moving in together, having put cohabitation off a year for the sake of their respective teenaged children.
Johnny Depp's Walk of Fame star vandalized
Someone has determined Johnny Depp doesn't deserve a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. At least, that's the message a vandal sent by defacing his star with what appears to be a black marker-scrawled "phony" above Johnny's name and "a– b—-" below it. The vandalism reportedly happened "sometime Thursday, Sept. 26," according to the Daily Mail. Though nothing in the markings indicates what precipitated the attack, it seems safe to say the actor has lost a sizeable chunk of his fan base over allegations he physically and emotionally abused his ex-wife, Amber Heard. (The lawsuits brought against him by former managers and lawyers who claimed he broke contracts or failed to pay fees they were due also can't be helping his public image.) Johnny's star was added to the Walk of Fame in 1999.
Has Kanye West delayed 'Jesus Is King' again?
Kanye West's new album, "Jesus Is King," was still MIA on its release date as Friday, Sept. 27 got underway. But a tweet from Detroit's Fox Theater later indicated the album would be released during a live event there. "JUST IN: Kanye West will bring 'Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience'," to #TheFox tonight at 8PM," the tweet announced. "Guests are encouraged to arrive early. Doors open at 6:30PM. Tickets are free, general admission and only available via Ticketmaster.com." The release date had been announced without fanfare. The rapper simply posted a photo of the tracklist for the recording — which was initially due out in September 2018 and titled "Yandhi," according to the New York Post — and a Friday, Sept, 27, release date, on his website. As of Friday afternoon, however, the album had not materialized. "I stayed up all night waiting for Kanye to drop 'Jesus Is King' album and I'm still waiting … WTF!!" read one of many annoyed-sounding tweets on Friday. Earlier in the week, New York Times music reporter Joe Coscarelli seemed unconvinced the album would be out this week. "It's Kanye so who knows," he tweeted on Wednesday, "but I'm hearing from many industry people that 'Jesus Is King' is not coming on Friday, despite people on the ground in Wyoming trying to make it happen." Joe may have been asking people on the ground in the wrong state, though. Prior to the Fox Theater's tweet, the Detroit News pointed to flyers advertising a Sept. 27 edition of the musical gathering — with no time or location — as being a potential release point for the new tunes.

Speaking to guests at the launch of her New York City perfume popup on Thursday, Sept, 26, the "Hustlers" star sounded almost giddy about the NFL's decision. "I am so excited that they picked two strong women, both Latinas," she said, according to Page Six. "I think they really wanted to make a statement with that and I'm really happy to be part of that new movement of inclusivity and diversity and embracing women. It's a huge platform, a big stage to perform on, one of the biggest shows of the year," J.Lo added. "Every artist dreams of doing i." Prior to Thursday's announcement, the singer played coy when asked about rumors she was set to perform at the Feb. 2, 2020, game in Miami, saying repeatedly that she didn't know if she would be performing.
Christian Slater got to take his baby home from the hospital on his 50th birthday
Christian Slater's 50th birthday featured a different kind of celebration than the usual big party or dinner out. Asked about both his birthday and his month-old daughter during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," this week, the "Mr. Robot star" said: "She was born on August 16th. My birthday's the 18th. My wife [Brittany Lopez] was in the middle of labor and all those things, but I did get to bring my baby home on my birthday," according to Page Six. When Jimmy pointed out that's a pretty cool gift, Christian smiled. "That was nice," he said. He added that he doesn't usually get much of a party on his big day. "My wife's birthday is the 14th [of August], my older daughter's birthday is the 15th, my month-old baby is the 16th, so my birthday is passed over," he quipped.
Brooke Shields responds to rumors she was slated to join 'The View' full-time
Turns out Brooke Shields was almost a full-time co-host on "The View." During an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" Thursday, Sept, 26, she was asked about rumors she was headed to the show that surfaced years ago, when she took over as a guest-host for a week after Elisabeth Hasselbeck's exit. "I did all my homework. I take everything very seriously," she told Andy Cohen, according to E! News. Ultimately, she said it was 'The View' that opted not to hire her. "I was directing 'Chicago' at the Hollywood Bowl and I'm in the parking lot," Brooke recalled. "And I get a call from the producer and he says, 'We've decided to go with Jenny McCarthy.' And I was like, 'OK.' I mean, she's a friend, but you want one or the other. I think they were going for something different." Jenny stayed on the show for just one season, from 2013 to 2014.
Jason Momoa speaks to the U.N. about climate change
"Aquaman" star Jason Momoa switched gears on Friday, Sept. 27, to speak to the United Nations about climate change in what People reports was his first appearance at U.N. headquarters. After his talk, which he gave on behalf of Hawaii, he posted about the experience on Insatgram. "That was a life changing moment, a true honor to represent island nations at the UN," he wrote. "It takes an amazing team and support system to pull off something like this. I am deeply grateful to my wife and children, my mother …" In a second post, he shared a clip of what he called his "very honest and direct speech," adding that it included, "No BS. Nothing sugar coated, just straight from the heart." In a final push, he wrote: "We've been half-a–ing our global efforts to reverse the climate crisis and this can't continue. We have to change now.For the future of our planet, and Small Island Developing States, the wave of change is coming. Aloha J." His speech touched on the state of the "drowning" Hawaiian islands facing rising sea levels as a result of emissions generated by first-world countries.
