Sean Lowe recalls harrowing Harvey rescues, urges others to donate what they can
Former "Bachelor" star Sean Lowe was among the many private citizens who wrangled a boat and headed to Houston to help with search and rescue missions amid Harvey's devastation this week. "Today I had the chance to do what I could to help some people in the Houston area. I couldn't believe the devastation. My heart broke for all the elderly who are immobile and the mothers trapped in their homes with young babies. But I was encouraged by the selflessness of so many Texans who came to help where they could. Definitely a day I'll never forget," he wrote on Instagram after traveling from Dallas with a borrowed boat the help. Speaking to ET, he shared some of the stories of victims trapped in attics and worse. "You know, I told [my wife] Catherine [Giudici] when I got back to Dallas, I said, 'I wish I could accurately convey how bad it is, but it's really indescribable.' And just to see people forced from the homes that they've lived in for years, to go down a residential street on a boat, and you see water eight feet high, and people's homes — it's a really eerie feeling. And to hear people yelling and shouting ….," he recalled. Sean also shared a story about pulling a man in cardiac arrest from a canoe. Although firefighters gave him CPR, Sean said he doubted the man survived. "Look, I took a boat down there and I tried to rescue as many people as possible, but in the grand scheme of things, it's not much, but I'm glad I could play a small part," he said. "Even if you can't go down there and help, donations are helping tremendously, and if you can get down there, they need you. And right now I'm trying to figure out how I can get back there to lend more of a helping hand."

The exhibit, My Name Is Prince, opens Oct. 2

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester open up about whether they'd revisit 'Gossip Girl'
A decade after "Gossip Girl" launched, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester are moms , Penn Badgley is married and their other onscreen pals have moved on to various new roles. None of those factors stopped Vanity Fair from asking in its new issue whether the former cast would be up for a reunion, given recent rumors the show could return. The responses weren't all positive. Blake said "of course," adding, "I'm open to anything that's good, that's interesting, and that sort of feels necessary … I imagine we all would. I can't speak for everyone else, but we all owe so much to this show, and I think that it would be silly not to acknowledge that." Leighton, who played her character's pal-slash-enemy Blair, sounded less enthusiastic. "Yeah, I don't really hear [talk of] that," she said. "I guess I hear that in fits and starts here and there, but it's hard to say. If everyone was into it and if the timing was right, you know? … I don't want to say, 'No, never ….'" Kid Rock's Detroit restaurant plans could cause backlash
Despite recalcitrance from Detroit-area organizations who worry now is not the time for Kid Rock and the Confederate flags he often uses onstage to perform six nights in the city next month, the new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit will still open with a Kid Rock series. Now, the singer and GOP candidate hopeful has announced he will also open a restaurant in the venue. Dubbed Kid Rock's Made in Detroit, the Michigan native will sell "classic Detroit and Southern-influenced dishes, along with traditional comfort foods and bar fare," such as locally brewed beer and craft cocktails, according to Eater.com. Concern about Confederate flags appearing so soon after the violence in Charlottesville is expected to escalate since Kid Rock will decorate the large restaurant with memorabilia. Two years ago, a spokesperson for the musician said it had been years since he displayed one of the flags.
