Wonderwall.com rounded up some recent stories about shocking celeb extravagances that prove stars are nothing like us, starting with this one about one of our favorite TV stars: Kerry Washington gave a Tomorrow Sleep mattress to every member of the cast and crew of "Scandal," which is coming to an end later this year, as wrap presents. The mattresses (a queen size costs between $800 and $1,000) were the culmination of a week of gift giving by the Emmy nominee, who referred to the presents as the "Scandal Survival Kit" during an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" that hit the Internet on March 13, 2018. "It had work-out classes and sneakers and wine and food and books. … It's all the things you haven't had a chance to do while we've been working," she said. "But I wanted to end with a mattress. … We work 16-hour days and sometimes some departments have eight-hour turnarounds, which means they're sleeping five, six hours a night, and I just really feel like having a [good] mattress is something you're supposed to do for yourself but you don't do it enough." Added Kerry, "I wanted to give that to our 'Scandal' family. … I felt like I wanted us to feel the joy, the gratitude and joy of what we've been able to experience together." How thoughtful! Blue Ivy Carter already has a taste for the finer things in life: Beyonce and JAY-Z's little girl placed a $17K bid (and then a $19K bid!) on a painting during an auction at the second Wearable Art Gala benefiting the WACO Theater Center — during which her mom and grandmother Gloria Carter were honored — in Los Angeles on March 17. Though the 6 year old failed to place the winning bid on the piece — Tyler Perry ultimately took home the acrylic of a young Sidney Poitier — she did walk away with a 36″ x 36″ piece of art "composed of deconstructed law books from Indiana and medical books from California." (According to Vanity Fair, Blue won that with her bid of $10K!) Beyonce, meanwhile, dropped $17K on a pair of panther earrings by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. Well, we know where she got her tastes from!

As part of an interview with E! News that hit the Internet on Feb. 27, 2018, the ladies of "A Wrinkle in Time" dished on the "normal people" things they do and don't do. Oprah Winfrey, for example, doesn't answer her own phone, buy her own groceries or pump her own gas. ("I wouldn't know what to do," she said.) She does, however, pay her own bills, make her own breakfast and walk her own dogs. Mindy Kaling also refuses to pump her own gas, while Reese Witherspoon admitted she only sometimes buys her own groceries and pumps her own gas. Sheesh. Speaking of Mindy and Oprah…

It pays to be pals with Oprah Winfrey! The media mogul gave Mindy Kaling a pretty epic present when she welcomed her first child, daughter Katherine, in late 2017. "Oprah's present to me was a hand-carved bookcase packed with 100 of the essential children's books of all literature, and each book was inscribed with a little sticker that said 'Katherine's Book Club' — like 'Oprah's Book Club.' The bookcase was carved in the shape of an old-timey castle," Mindy told Stephen Colbert during a March 2018 appearance on "The Late Show."

During an interview with ELLE that hit the Internet on March 15, 2018, Kim Kardashian West confirmed the rumor that there's a clause in her will stipulating that her hair, makeup and nails will always be done — even when she's no longer able to take care of herself. "I made a section that if I am so out of it that I can't even communicate and I'm, like, s——- on myself, I definitely need my hair, my nails and my makeup done. I want to look as good as possible," she said. Vanity, thy name is Kim.

Jennifer Lopez reportedly dropped $13K on her twins' 10th birthday party at Sugar Factory in Las Vegas on Feb. 22, 2018. According to TMZ, the superstar hosted more than 30 people at the restaurant for about four hours. The party reportedly included a custom red velvet Mario Bros. cake for Max and a chocolate sloth cake for Emme. At the end of the night, J.Lo picked up the $7,500 tab… and added a more than 73 percent tip of $5,500.

Meghan Markle will never have to worry about footing the bill for designer duds again after she and Prince Harry tie the knot! According to a March 15, 2018, report on People.com, once she and Harry are Mr. and Mrs., "her clothing budget for official outings will be covered by the money that Prince Charles gives to Prince William, Duchess Kate and Harry from his Duchy of Cornwall income of about $28 million." In 2017, the trio reportedly had access to $4.8 million from Charles, which is pretty insane considering that, according to Money, Harry is worth an estimated $25 million (at least) on his own! But why dip into your own pockets when Dad's willing to foot the bill?!

During a cover story interview for the March 2018 issue of Glamour, which hit the Internet on Feb. 6, Katy Perry revealed that she spends nearly half of every day asleep. "Sleep is really important to me. I'm a big sleeper. I get eight to nine hours every night. Nine to 10 hours, actually," she said, adding that she also eats four and a half meals a day. "I'm constantly eating," she said. Ten hours of sleep a night and the ability to constantly eat all day? Can you even imagine?!

Just because she's now a mother doesn't mean you should expect to see Kylie Jenner behind the wheel of a minivan anytime soon. The 20 year old celebrated the birth of her first child, daughter Stormi, with a $1.4 million push present: a black Ferrari LaFerrari, which she showed off on her Instagram Story on Feb. 24, 2018. The reality TV star shared a short video of her super-expensive ride as its butterfly doors opened. "Push present," she could be heard saying in the clip. (It's unclear whether the car was a present from baby daddy Travis Scott or from herself.)

How far are you willing to go to support your child's passion? For Madonna, the answer is "Portugal." The superstar moved to Lisbon because her son, David Banda, wants to be a professional soccer player. "Of all the choices we had for soccer academies, I liked this one best," she told "Extra" in early March 2018 of her decision to uproot her entire life for one of her six kids. "I'm a soccer mom, number one," she added. (We sure hope David is actually good at soccer!)

Who said money can't buy you love? Barbra Streisand loved her late Coton du Tulear pup Samantha so much, she had her cloned… twice! During an interview with Variety that hit the Internet in late February 2018, the singer-actress revealed that two of her three dogs, Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett, were cloned from cells taken from Samantha's mouth and stomach. (After Samantha died at the age of 14 in 2017, Babs commemorated her with a gravesite complete with a custom headstone, which she showed off on Instagram on March 5.) As for Violet and Scarlett, "They have different personalities," Barbra told Variety. "I'm waiting for them to get older so I can see if they have her brown eyes and her seriousness."

Why prank-call a neighbor or classmate when you can prank-call royalty? Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne did just that, the Oscar nominee told The Sun on Sunday as part of an interview that hit the Internet on March 3, 2018. "Cara knows [Prince] Harry and while we were filming 'Suicide Squad' she was like, 'Let's prank-call him.' I said, 'We can't prank-call royalty,' but anyway we did — and he was so cool with it," she said. Added the "I, Tonya" star, "Prince Harry is so nice. England literally has the coolest royalty in the world." We'll just have to take it from you, Margot!

On April 7, 2018, Sotheby's Australia will sell off items previously owned by Russell Crowe and his estranged wife, Danielle Spencer, as part of an auction titled "The Art of Divorce." Among the items up for auction are various works of art, antique cars, furniture, jewelry (including 29 luxury watches), a real dinosaur skull, a pair of 18th century dueling pistols, a guitar collection, a cricket-paraphernalia collection and movie memorabilia, including a pair of life-size prop horses from "Gladiator," a jock strap from "Cinderella Man" and an antique 1800s violin from "Master and Commander." "On the practical side, this collection probably equates to three rooms full of things I'll no longer have to care for, document, clean, tune and insure," the Oscar winner reportedly told Australia's Daily Telegraph as part of a late February 2018 report.

Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly dropped $38K on a single painting, "Landscape with Divergent Perceptual Reference Frames" by artist Jean-Pierre Roy (see it here), during the VOLTA NY contemporary art fair on March 7, 2018. Hey, you can buy a new car for $35K or you can buy a roughly 6-foot-by-4-foot piece of linen with some colorful oil on it. Your call, Leo!

Allison Janney reportedly donned $4M in Forevermark diamonds to pick up her Oscar during the 2018 Academy Awards in Hollywood on March 4. Among her 128 carats of bling were diamond earrings, a diamond choker totaling more than 55 carats, a diamond bracelet and an 18-carat ring. That's way more carats than we can imagine being responsible for!

According to a Feb. 25, 2018, report on TMZ, Justin Bieber recently downsized from a six-bedroom rental to a three-bedroom pad in West Hollywood for which he now pays $55K a month. (That's what we call "downsizing" in Hollywood, folks!) The $17.9 million home reportedly features an infinity pool and views of the iconic Sunset Strip.

How much is your old notebook worth? Drake's is worth at least $54K — at least that's how much MomentsInTime.com is hoping to fetch at auction for a purple spiral notebook featuring pages of notes and lyrics handwritten by the singer-actor around 2002, a year after he debuted on "Degrassi: The Next Generation." According to a Feb. 26, 2018, report on TMZ, an employee discovered the notebook at Drake's grandfather's furniture factory in Toronto about a decade ago.

Michelle Obama opened up about the extent to which family comes first for her during a panel that was part of Klick Health's MUSE New York event on Feb. 27, 2018. "You have to plan that family time," she said. "Proactively starting every year, before I booked any meetings or conferences, I sat down with my assistant and we looked at our lives first. … So we put potlucks in there. We put date nights in there. I put my workouts. We put our vacations on the calendar first. … We planned that out first and then what was left would be left for work." If only the rest of us were lucky enough to be able to put family vacations, potlucks and date nights before work!

Flowers and a card apparently weren't enough for Serena Williams! Her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, commissioned four billboards featuring pictures of the tennis champ and their baby girl, whom they call Olympia, along with the words "greatest momma of all time" in honor of Serena's return to tennis after becoming a mom. (She passed the billboards en route to the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, in late February 2018.) "These just went up on I-10 into Palm Springs. @olympiaohanian & I wanted to welcome her back to tennis. Designed them myself, with some help from Jr. #GMOAT," Alexis captioned a slideshow of four images showing off the billboards on Instagram on Feb. 27.

At what point does one become too old to rock a crop top? Never, if you're Angela Bassett, it seems. The Oscar nominee, who turns 60 in August 2018, turned heads when she showed up at the Los Angeles premiere of "A Wrinkle in Time" on Feb. 26, 2018, wearing sparkly midriff-baring separates. In 2017, Angela's trainer told People.com that the "Black Panther" star works out for 45 minutes to an hour every day and only takes breaks if she's "about to puke, faint or die." In that case, flaunt it, girl!

We were shocked when we heard that Rick Ross had been hospitalized for heart issues in Miami in early March 2018 — but not as shocked as when we heard that due to his four-day hospital stint, he'd been forced to reschedule daughter Toie Roberts' $100,000 sweet 16 birthday party, which was set for March 17 at Casa Casuarina, the property previously known as the Versace Mansion. According to TMZ, the rapper booked the venue nearly seven months ago and planned to fete Toie with performances, surprises and hundreds of guests. Anyone else excited to see how he makes it up to her now that he's on the mend?!

We've heard of flushing money down the toilet, but attaching a bunch of cash to helium-filled balloons and setting them free, well, that's certainly new. Shaquille O'Neal celebrated his 46th birthday on March 6, 2018, by basically throwing away some hard-earned dough. "It's my birthday, and I'mma do something special for somebody. [There's] a couple hundred dollars there, so if you get it, make sure you hit me back and let me know you got my money. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. … Five-hundred dollars — somebody's gonna be very happy," he said in an Instagram video showing him letting loose the balloons. (Unfortunately, it's unclear whether or not anyone ever recovered the cash.)
