Is there anything better than a celebrity sighting that includes British royals? We didn't think so. Join Wonderwall.com as we relive some of the best moments where big-name stars rubbed elbows with the cream of the British aristocracy, starting with Prince Harry and Jon Bon Jovi. The Duke of Sussex and the American rocker met up at Abbey Road Studios in London on Feb. 28, 2020, where members of the Invictus Games Choir recorded a special version of Jon's track "Unbroken" in aid of the Invictus Games Foundation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren't the only royals who've mingled with hip hop's reigning queen and king. On Dec. 8, 2014, Duchess Kate and Prince William spent some time chatting with Beyonce and JAY-Z at the Cavaliers vs. Nets game in Brooklyn, New York. Too bad their friendly exchange was made a little awkward thanks to the throngs of photographers, security personnel and eager fans swarming their meet and greet.
The grandkids aren't the only ones with famous friends. Queen Elizabeth II has a long and well-documented history of entertaining some of the biggest names in Hollywood. We almost tripped in our Manolo Blahniks when we saw Her Majesty sitting beside the queen of fashion, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, during London Fashion Week in 2018. The two seemed to be sharing a laugh, which made us stan them and this photo even more.
The same year Prince Harry began dating the future Duchess Meghan, he also met pop and fashion princess Rihanna in her native Barbados. Harry, who was on a royal tour of the Caribbean at the time, didn't just meet with RiRi, who was there to celebrate the island's 50th anniversary of independence. The pair also helped raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and even got tested for the disease together on World AIDS Day. In this photo taken on Nov. 30, 2016, the two are seen at the island's Spectacular Mega Concert where Rihanna also performed in front of 20,000 fans.
Nothing to see here. That's just Taylor Swift, Jon Bon Jovi and Prince William singing together at the Winter Whites Centerpointe Gala at Kensington Palace in 2013. The song? Jon's iconic tune "Living on a Prayer." Fun fact: Jon was originally performing alone but called out William as "the King of Karaoke" and asked him to join him on stage. Thankfully for the audience, Taylor was sweet enough to jump in too, giving us this jaw-dropping moment to treasure.
We can't get over how cute model-actress Cara Delevingne (standing beside her equally gorgeous sister Poppy Delevingne) looked while speaking to Prince Charles in this July 9, 2013, photo. The sisters were attending London's Animal Ball, a charity that helps the world's most endangered wildlife. Prince Charles — who's spent his life championing endangered animals, conservation and environmental causes — is a regular attendee at the annual ball, but Cara looked delightfully shocked to see him there.
We will never get over the iconic moment when Princess Diana danced with "Saturday Night Fever" star John Travolta at the White House on Nov. 11, 1985. Caught mid-swirl, the princess showed us that even the prim and proper British royal family knows how to get down. In the background, you can even see former first lady Nancy Reagan — who was dancing with then-president Ronald Reagan — looking at the pair with obvious delight.
Throughout Queen Elizabeth II's incredible nearly 70-year reign, she's met more A-list celebrities than we can count, including some of the world's most iconic stars. In this Oct. 29, 1956, photo, we get to see the moment Her Majesty met Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe at the London premiere of the film "Battle of the River Plate." Fun fact: At the time they met, both Queen Elizabeth and Marilyn were just 30 years old.
Of course Jenny from the block rolls with royalty. In this July 9, 2011, pic, singer, actress and dancer Jennifer Lopez is seen mingling with a newly married Prince William and Duchess Kate in Los Angeles.
Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Outward Bound Trust — an educational summer adventure program for youth — at London's Buckingham Palace in 2017, "Mission: Impossible" franchise star Tom Cruise spent some time talking with the queen's husband, Prince Philip. We can only imagine how their conversation went, but whatever Philip said, Tom seems to have found it funny. Perhaps he was asking Tom for spoilers in "The Mummy"?
Did you know that Angelina Jolie is a dame? Queen Elizabeth bestowed the honorary title on the "Maleficent" franchise actress on Oct. 10, 2014, to recognize her humanitarian work, including her fight to stop sexual violence against women and children in war. Although not pictured, Angie's then-husband, Brad Pitt, and their six children were also in the room celebrating her achievement.
Elton John (center) isn't just friends with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. His connection to the royal family dates back to the 1970s when he became friends with Queen Elizabeth II and her sister, Princess Margaret. By 1985 — when this picture was taken at London's Wembley Stadium — Elton had already developed a fast friendship with Princess Diana too. We can't leave out George Michael (right) either. This turned out to be the first time Diana and George met, leading to a lasting friendship.
At the 2009 Royal Variety Performance in Blackpool, England, the grand dame of pop, Lady Gaga, took a bow before Queen Elizabeth II. The top-charting singer was wearing one of her trademark over-the-top looks for their first meeting — a crimson latex Atsuko Kudo gown. By all accounts, the monarch enjoyed the performance and was delighted to meet Gaga at the end of the show.
Queen, meet the queen. In this 1976 picture, Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor and fiancé Jack Warner are seen as they were introduced to Queen Elizabeth II during the royal's state visit to America. By Queen Elizabeth's side is President Gerald Ford, who served as her escort to the British Embassy reception in Washington, D.C.
We love seeing the nicest guy in Hollywood, "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" star Tom Hanks, having a laugh with his wife of 31 years, actress Rita Wilson, and Prince William. The three were in attendance at a BAFTA "Brits to Watch" event in Los Angeles in 2011. Check out Nicole Kidman in the background talking excitedly with William's wife, Duchess Kate.
Thanks to his Oscar-nominated role in the 1992 biographical comedy-drama "Chaplin," a young Robert Downey Jr. got the chance to say hello to the queen. In this photo taken the same year the film came out, Robert, comedic actor Dan Aykroyd (back) and Queen Elizabeth II were all smiles at the movie's London premiere. Fun fact: In 1975, Elizabeth knighted the real Charlie Chaplin just two years before his death, giving him the honorary title of "Sir."
All eyes were on Duchess Kate in this July 10, 2011, picture, including those of Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon. Kate, then newly married, chatted with Reese and others in Santa Barbara, California, at the U.S. launch of the Tusk Trust's Patron's Circle, an organization that raises money to protect Africa's precious wildlife.
We're not at all surprised to see Queen Elizabeth II flashing a huge smile while meeting actress Meryl Streep in this 1980 pic. The ladies were introduced at the London premiere of Meryl's film "Kramer vs. Kramer," which earned the actress her first of three Academy Awards.
We can't leave out the royal cousins! Princess Eugenie and sister Princess Beatrice got the chance to hang with future Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio at the London film premiere of his 2004 biopic "The Aviator."
In this July 8, 2011, photo, Prince William seems to be sharing a funny story with one of his famous friends, soccer star David Beckham. The dashing gents were in attendance at a reception at the British Consulate General's home in Los Angeles.
Prince William isn't the only royal who knows a Beckham. In this October 1997 pic, Victoria Beckham and fellow Spice Girls members Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C were all too happy to say hello to a young Prince Harry and his father, Prince Charles — who appears to be getting some help wiping lipstick from his cheek! The royals met with the Spice Girls backstage when the group performed in Johannesburg, South Africa.
We're calling this pic Wolverine meets the queen. On Oct. 13, 2011, Queen Elizabeth II shook hands with Hollywood heartthrob Hugh Jackman. The Aussie star was invited to a royal reception at Buckingham Palace to honor Australians in England.
In their bachelor days, Prince William and Prince Harry were known to party with some of Hollywood's hottest bad boys. In this 2007 photo, the royal brothers took that literally by partying in London with Bad Boy Records CEO Sean "Puffy" Combs and rapper Kanye West.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were harangued by critics in August 2019 for their use of private jets while on vacation. Then legendary musician Elton John — a longtime friend of Harry's family who performed at his 2018 wedding reception — came to their defense, revealing that he not only hosted the couple at his home in France during one of their trips but paid for their flights and made them carbon-neutral. They're all seen together here in July 2019 at the London premiere of "The Lion King."
We never knew we needed a picture of the two hottest Harrys in the world until we saw this one. Prince Harry and singer-turned-actor Harry Styles met on July 13, 2017, at the London premiere of "Dunkirk," in which Harry S. — who came to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction — made his film debut.
In this charming shot from May 13, 2014, Prince William and British actor Benedict Cumberbatch seem to be deep in conversation. Perhaps Will was trying to get Ben to drop a few spoilers about the final season of his wildly popular series "Sherlock Holmes"?
We're just going to leave this sizzling hot Dec. 5, 2013, pic of Prince William and Idris Elba in tuxedos right here for you to enjoy. The men were seen casually chatting during the London premiere of "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom," in which Idris starred as famed South African anti-apartheid leader and president Nelson Mandela.
Although a romance between Prince Harry and British pop star Ellie Goulding was never confirmed, the two — seen here at the Sentebale Polo Cup in Berkshire, England, in June 2011 — were often photographed together before the married other people and were even seen hiding under a blanket together back in 2016.
This Feb. 1, 2014, picture shows a pre-royal Duchess Meghan spending time with tennis great Serena Williams when both participated in a celebrity flag football game hosted by DirecTV. At the time, the royal was known as Meghan Markle and was a star on the TV series "Suits" — and still two years away from meeting now-husband Prince Harry. Serena is still close with the former actress and was one the celebrity guests who attended Meghan and Harry's wedding.
Interestingly, this July 1988 moment between King of Pop Michael Jackson and Diana, Princess of Wales was the only time the two would publicly meet in person, yet it was the start of their nearly decade-long friendship. The introductions took place at London's Wembley Stadium where Michael was performing on the European leg of his "Bad" tour. The two reportedly became long-distance friends, calling each other to share their struggles as world-famous celebrities.
