Chloe Sevigny
Raised in nearby Darien, Conn., Chloe Sevigny regularly hung out in New York's Greenwich Village while in high school. She moved to the city at 18 and quickly solidified her place in the cool-kid subculture by interning at Sassy magazine, modeling for Miu Miu, appearing in music videos for Sonic Youth and The Lemonheads and playing a lead in the controversial 1995 movie "Kids". She became an indie it girl of the late '90s and early 2000s working with Whit Stillman, Steve Buscemi, Lars Von Trier, Woody Allen and her on-off boyfriend Harmony Korine, She even earned Best Supporting Actress Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for the Teena Brandon biopic "Boys Don't Cry". She moved into TV in 2000 with the HBO special "If These Walls Could Talk 2" and started her critically acclaimed, most well-known role to date as the second wife of a polygamist on "Big Love" in 2006. The part earned her a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 2010. Despite becoming a household name and doing the occasional mainstream project like "American Horror Story", "The Mindy Project" or "Zodiac", she flourishes in art-house, absurd and avant-garde films and TV projects like "Hit & Miss"(where she portrayed a transgender hitman) and "The Brown Bunny" (which caused a stir with its unsimilated sexual acts). She worked Off-Broadway a few times, occasionally models for the likes of H&M and Mac and is a part-time fashion designer. She recently designed a collection for Opening Ceremony.
