Chris Hemsworth
If the three Hemsworth brothers are the Australian equivalent to the Wilsons and the Baldwins, Liam Hemsworth is definitely the Alec or the Owen. For a time, it seemed he might pursue his other childhood passion of surfing but after attending Heathmont Secondary College, he started auditioning for roles in his homeland. He snagged minor roles in several TV shows down. He did a three-season stint on the Aussie soap "Home and Away", which also featured Heath Ledger, Isla Fisher and Naomi Watts at some point in its run, before moving stateside in 2007. A bit part as Captain Kirk's dad in the 2009 "Star Trek" reboot was enough to get him in the door for "Thor" auditions. He beat out super stiff competition as well as his brother Liam to play the hammer-swinging God, a part he has since reprised for a 2013 Thor sequel and the "Avengers" franchise films. His strapping pecs and 6′ 2″ frame also came in handy when playing one of the titular characters in "Snow White and The Huntsman", a rebel in the "Red Dawn" remake and the cocky real-life race-car driver in "Rush." He met his wife, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, through their mutual agent and married in 2010. Two years later, they welcomed daughter India and are now expecting twins in spring 2014.
