Jeremy Renner
Since discovering a passion for acting while attending junior college in California's Central Valley and making his film debut in 1995's "National Lampoon's Senior Trip," Jeremy Renner has become a marquee name in the action and drama genres. But first there was a series of TV movies like 1996's "A Friend's Betrayal" and numerous guest gigs on shows like "The Net" and the Buffy spinoff "Angel." During that time, he and a friend started a house-flipping business to supplement his income. He wouldn't really need the second paycheck after his riveting portrayal of a real-life serial killer in 2002's "Dahmer." That part earned him an agent and an Independent Spirit Award nod and easier entrance through the auditions door. After "S.W.A.T.," "North Country" and "28 Weeks Later," Renner was cast in "The Hurt Locker," which earned him his first Academy Award nomination in 2010. His second would come a year later for "The Town." He is a part of three franchises so far — "The Avengers" as Hawkeye, "Mission: Impossible" and he took over for Matt Damon as lead elite solider in the Bourne films. The "American Hustle" star is extremely private although he did reveal in September 2014 that he and his girlfriend Sonni Pacheco had secretly married. The couple's daughter Ave was born in March 2013.
