Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman is an actress, Oscar winner, singer, pitch person (Chanel No. 5), Tom Cruise ex, wife, mother, best friend to Naomi Watts (met at a open call for a bikini ad neither of them booked), and lepidopterophobe (someone afraid of butterflies). She got her start singing in a band called Divine Madness and in the land down under's local theater scene which led to roles in 1983's BMX Bandits and Bush Christmas, a holiday classic that airs every year in Oz. Dead Calm (1989) makes U.S. filmgoers pay attention including Tom Cruise who created a role in Days of Thunder for her after seeing it. After becoming marrying in December 1990, they paired onscreen two more times — 1992's Far and Away and 1996's Eyes Wide Shut. They also worked together as adoptive parents to Isabella and Connor. The gorgeous ginger won her first Golden Globe in 1995 for To Die For, titillated with live nudity in a 1998 London run of The Blue Room, was injured on the set of Moulin Rouge in 2000, was named Entertainment Weekly's 2001 Entertainer of the Year the same year she and Cruise broke up, and won a Best Actress Oscar for The Hours in 2003. A couple of years after a rock romance with Lenny Kravitz, she made a country commitment to Keith Urban in June 2006, even staying by his side when he checked into rehab for alcohol abuse the following fall. She gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose in 2008 and in 2010, after earning another Oscar nod for Rabbit Hole, they welcomed daughter Faith via surrogate.
