Zachary Quinto
After the death of his father when Zachary Quinto was only 7, he vowed to succeed as an actor. He started his journey as a tween performing with the CLO Mini Stars in local productions before studying acting at Carnegie Mellon University. A year after graduation he moved to California and found work on Touched by an Angel, Lizzie McGuire and Charmed before spending a couple of seasons as Adam Kaufman on 24 from 2003 to 2004. Next up was playing Tori Spelling's best friend on so noTORIous in 2006, which led to his casting as the villain Sylar on the original incarnation of Heroes. His costar on that sci-fi series, Greg Grunberg, put in a good word with his childhood friend J.J. Abrams who was spearheading the Star Trek reboot. Quinto became the film's first cast as the new Spock, a role he reprised in Star Trek Into Darkness in 2013 and will play in the third and fourth sequels as well. He returned to TV on two seasons of American Horror Story. He has also made a name for himself as a producer with his company's work on Margin Call, The Chair series, and All Is Lost. Usually one to keep his personal life under wraps, he was moved by the suicide of teen Jamey Rodemeyer, a victim of gay bullying, to come out publically in Oct. 2011. He was romantically linked to Glee/Looking star Jonathan Groff until summer 2013 and for the last two years he has been dating and sharing puppies with model Miles McMillian.
