Romance rumors descend on Rihanna and A$AP Rocky again
Rapper A$AP Rocky asked Rihanna 15 questions in a video posted by Vogue on Aug. 26 and fans couldn't help but notice how flirty and giggly the two were with each other. For example? When Rocky asked RiRi, who released her Fenty Skin line earlier this summer, to describe her skin type, she replied, "My skin type is just as complicated as men are." That made him laugh hysterically, DailyMail.com reported, as Rihanna continued, "Yeah, you wasn't ready for that because you always try to say women are complicated. It's y'all." The pair were most recently romantically linked in January when they were spotted laughing backstage together at the Yams Day concert in New York City in the wake of her split from billionaire businessman Hassan Jameel. They go way back –RiRi and Rocky were first linked as a couple back in 2013 when they were spotted kissing during some down-time on a music video shoot.

Beyonce, Jay-Z and the twins join Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey for a Hamptons yacht ride
After a busy month that saw Beyonce release her stunning new visual album "Black Is King" as Jay unveiled a new single with Pharrell Williams, the couple took a break this week in the with their twins in the Hamptons. According to Page Six, the fam was joined by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who recently teamed up with Beyonce to funnel $6 million towards mental health and wellness services for essential workers in six American cities where communities of color have been hit hard by COVID-19. As Bey entertained Sir on her lap — his sister Rumi was on board, too — the adults enjoyed some rose and chatted. Though it's unclear what they discussed, some outlets have pointed out the conversation could be related to Jay's line in the new Pharrell track, "Entrepreneur," that references their Twitter honcho pal. "Black Twitter, what's that?/ When Jack gets paid, do you?" Jay asks, before suggesting listeners prioritize Black-owned businesses: "For every one Gucci, support two FUBUs."
Nikki Bella, Brie Bella reveal the stories behind their new sons' births
Wrestler-turned-reality TV stars Nikki Bella and Brie Bella posed with their newborn sons and their partners for the new issue of People magazine, which hit the internet on Wednesday. In the cover story, the twins revealed their boys' names for the first time as well as their very different birth stories. Nikki and fiancé Artem Chigvintsev welcomed Matteo Artemovich Chigvintsev on July 31. She was due Aug. 6 but her water broke while she was on her way to get induced a week early due to high blood pressure concerns. She labored for 22 hours and, after her doctor told her to prepare for a C-section following two hours of pushing, finally got Matteo out naturally. "I looked at Artem and I go, 'Put on the Lumineers!' And literally we 'Hey Ho'-ed and 'Ophelia'-ed Matteo into this world," Nikki told People. "I have never pushed so hard in my life. I almost tore off the handlebars!" Brie, on the other hand, gave birth to her second child with husband Daniel Bryan, Buddy Dessert Danielson, via a scheduled C-section less than a day later on Aug. 1. Their first child, daughter Byrdie, 3, was born by emergency C-section and Brie — who didn't know she was having a boy until Buddy arrived — hoped to deliver her second child naturally. But he was "stubborn" and it didn't work out, but she was OK with it. "This experience was so different from my last — just to walk into a c-section and be completely alert," Brie said.
Cardi B responds to Melania Trump fan's dis
Cardi B's no stranger to politics or epic clap backs, so it wasn't a huge surprise when she responded to a troll who announced this country, "needs far more women like Melania Trump and far less like Cardi B," during the Republican National Convention on Tuesday. Sharing former Republican congressional candidate DeAnna Lorraine's post, Cardi asked of the FLOTUS, "Didn't she used to sell that Wap?" Cardi then shared a dated photo of Melania's husband, President Trump, in the buff. She accompanied that post with some less-than-safe-for-work comments. Lorraine replied, in language Glamour noted is "problematic," with a list of Cardi's alleged misdeeds. (It included the fact that she reconciled with her husband after he apparently cheated.) As Cardi recently said about the controversy surrounding "WAP," the Megan Thee Stallion collaboration she referenced in her clap back: "The people that the song bothers are usually conservatives or really religious people, but my thing is I grew up listening to this type of music. Other people might think it's strange and vulgar, but to me it's almost like really normal." She added that it's also clearly, "what people wanna hear," given the song's record-breaking sales and streams.
Porsha Williams arrested at Breonna Taylor protest
"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Williams was arrested Tuesday at a peaceful protest while demanding justice for Breonna Taylor. The Daily Mail reports Porsha, who was arrested along with 67 others at the Louisville, Kentucky, event, was with her pal, "Love and Hip Hop" star Yandy Smith-Harris when police intervened in the demonstration. Yandy later posted footage of the arrest on Instagram. Porsha also shared pics from the event, writing, "SAY HER NAME 🗣 #BreonnaTaylor ✊🏾" alongside them. Breonna, 26, was an EMT who was sleeping in her home with her boyfriend in Louisville in March when police entered after midnight with a "no knock warrant." They were looking for a suspect who had already been taken into custody earlier that day. The police, who reportedly associated Breonna's address with the suspect (but not Breonna), shot her eight times, killing her. None of the officers have been charged. Earlier this month, Demi Lovato used her birthday as an opportunity to draw attention to Breonna's death.
Candace Bushnell went on a date with John Corbett and she's still not 'Team Aidan'
Candace Bushnell, the writer whose life and 1997 "Sex and the City" book inspired the HBO series (and subsequent movies) of the same name, is firm on whether she thinks Carrie Bradshaw's Mr. Right is Aidan the furniture builder or the limo-traveling, suit-obsessed "Mr. Big." In fact, Candace once went on a date with John Corbett, and she still wouldn't choose John's character, Aiden, whose heart Carrie broke repeatedly over the course of the show and films. "I'm never gonna be Team Aidan," Candace said on the latest edition of the "Bradshaw Boys" podcast (via ET). "I can't for a variety of reasons but one of the reasons is that my mother hated Aidan. She would watch and she was like, 'I hate that Aidan. He's so wrong for her!' My mother hardly ever watched TV." That's when Candace shared the kicker: "I did go to dinner with John Corbett," she said. "I kind of went out to dinner with him, it was romantic, [but] all I could think was, 'My mother's gonna kill me!' Then he goes back to L.A. and then like two days later it's like, 'Oh, he's dating Bo Derek.' You cannot compete with Bo Derek, forget it." Agreed. John and Bo currently live together in Santa Barbara.
Kristin Cavallari debuts divorce tattoo
In April, Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler announced that they'd called it quits after seven years of marriage and a decade as a couple. Despite claiming the split was amicable, it soon became clear things had turned contentious amid dueling divorce filings confirming a custody battle over their three kids and claims that the former NFL quarterback was blocking the reality TV star from buying a new house. Things have since calmed down, and now the Uncommon James designer has treated herself to a permanent reminder of her breakup journey: a divorce tattoo. Celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy inked a small butterfly on the former "Very Cavallari" star's wrist, which she revealed on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday with the message, "Butterflies have been such a sign for me when going through difficult times." JonBoy also gave Kristin a tattoo that combines the first letters of her three children's names — Camden, Jaxon and Saylor — on her left forearm.
Gabrielle Union, more stars speak out against hair discrimination
Gabrielle Union, Keke Palmer, Uzo Aduba and Marsai Martin are done being discriminated against because of their hair — and they're not alone. In a new PSA from Glamour, the actresses share the experiences of anonymous Black women who wrote in with their stories. "I've been told it's too big," says Gabrielle in the clip (via ET).
"When I first started pageants, I was told by many to never let my hair be natural for competition. … I am not my hair, but my hair is a part of who I am and it deserves the same respect as the person beneath it." Keke then shares what a woman sent in about having been told her hair "blocks people's view." She adds: "My hair has a purpose greater than myself and I will not put it away to comply with white culture standards of beauty. Fun fact — whether my hair is in a fro, braids, twists, locks or a high puff, I am still the doctor." Once all the actresses have finished, Gabrielle reveals there's now a push to support a legislation prohibiting race-based hair discrimination in workplaces and schools. It's called The Crown (Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair) Act and it's now law in seven states. "That number should be 50," Gabrielle says. "This isn't just a hair issue. Hair discrimination is racial discrimination. Period. Together, we can make our schools and workplaces safer and equal for all." The stars then direct viewers to an online petition for The Crown Act.
Roman Polanski denied request to be reinstated as a member of the Academy
Roman Polanski won't be returning to the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences after a Los Angeles-based judge denied his request to be reinstated as a member. Polanski, 87, sued the Academy in 2019, claiming the Oscars organization didn't grant him "fair process" when it ejected him in 2018, the New York Post reports. The "Rosemary's Baby" director plead guilty in a rape charge levied by a 13-year-old girl in the '70s. He fled the country in 1978 and has been a fugitive ever since. A lawyer for Polanski told the Post his client is unlikely to appeal the decision. "It means nothing to him," he said. "It's the idea he's being thrown out without any due process."
