A source tells the New York Post the singer had gastric sleeve surgery this fall after a combination of factors left her frustrated with her figure and the comments she was seeing about it online. "Mariah has always been proud of her curves, but this summer, as her Caesars Palace residency came to a close, and then she went on tour with Lionel Richie, she noticed it became harder to dance, and she was getting a lot more criticism online from body shamers," said the insider. "Mariah underwent the procedure about a month ago, and she is already seeing some good results, and she feels a lot better." Although Mariah's rep declined to comment, the singer has complained in the past about how online chatter about her figure makes her feel, telling the Sunday Times she's "a pretty insecure person" who struggles with her self-image.

Brooklyn Beckham and Chloe Grace Moretz go public with their rekindled romance

Looks like Chloe Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham are getting used to sharing the spotlight as a couple again. The lovebirds, who split in September 2016 after two years ago before reuniting in August, hosted the Xbox One x VIP Event & Xbox Live Session in New York City on Monday, Nov. 6, looking happy and comfortable in photos. The pair haven't always found their combined celebrity status to be a positive experience, though. "We'll go out and there will be 15 paparazzi and we're just going to a grocery store," Chloe once told Teen Vogue (via E! News). "We are real people and we're having real emotional experiences, and all this is happening around us. Trying to keep ourselves in our own little world is difficult." A handful of photos on social media suggested that the two may have gotten back together at the end of the summer. The Xbox event marks their first official appearance as a couple since their split.

Sophie Turner defends 'Stranger Things' stars' rights to privacy

Sophie Turner's lived her life in the spotlight since she landed the role of Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones" when she was 15. Now, at 21, she's concerned about other young actors and their relationships with the paparazzi. On Monday, Nov. 6, Sophie apparently saw photographers vying to get candid pictures of the young "Stranger Things" cast. The newly engaged star was appalled at the photographers' behavior and hopped on Twitter to assert the kids' privacy rights were being violated. "Damn… seeing fully grown adults wait outside the Stranger Things kids' hotels, etc, and then abuse them when they don't stop for them is super weird," she tweeted. "A — what adult in their right mind waits for a CHILD outside their hotel, and b — is then is offended when the CHILD doesn't stop?" In other tweets, she pointed out the stars should get to be "kids first," adding, "Give them the space they need in order to grow without feeling like they owe anyone anything for living their childhood dreams." She continued: "Imagine you, a parent, walking with your 13-year-old son/daughter and seeing a fully grown adult pointing their camera phone at your kid. You would do anything you could to delete that person's photograph, and remove your child from that situation as soon as you could. … It doesn't matter if that child happens to be an actor and consented to a professional film crew capturing their moves when in character. That does NOT mean that this child consented to being followed around with a camera in their face," the TV star added. "I don't care if it 'comes with the job,' it doesn't." Finally, she posted: "How dare you shun and demean that child when they don't pose for an adult stranger's photograph or walk over and talk to them when they take that NOT CONSENTED FOR photo. Doesn't that go against everything we teach our children anyway? Pshhhh. Some people man."

Natalie Portman wins 2018 Genesis Prize

Congratulations are in order for Natalie Portman, the 2018 recipient of Israel's $1 million Genesis Prize, which she'll be awarded next June by Benjamin Netanyahu. The New York Post reports the organization behind the award chose her as its recipient because of her global advocacy work in areas such as gender equality and girls' education, animal rights and issues around poverty, many of which have dovetailed with her connection to Israel, where she was born. "I am proud of my Israeli roots and Jewish heritage. They are crucial parts of who I am," Natalie said in a statement. The co-founder and chairman of the foundation that awards the prize said Natalie "exemplifies the core traits of the Jewish character and values of the Jewish people — persistence and hard work, pursuit of excellence, intellectual curiosity, and a heartfelt desire to contribute to make the world a better place." According to the Post, the award money will be used to further women's causes in Israel "and beyond."

Shakira postpones first world tour date

Shakira fans in Europe will have to wait a bit longer than expected for a chance to see her El Dorado World Tour. On Tuesday, Nov. 7, the singer announced on her website that she's been forced to cancel her scheduled performance in Cologne, Germany. "During these last few days of rehearsals, I have unfortunately strained my vocal cords and as a result, my doctors have ordered me to go on vocal rest to avoid any greater damage that could keep me from performing. I'm devastated to have to miss our first show on November 8th in Koln," she posted. "The Live Nation team is working hard to find a new date for me to come back and share this exciting show with you which I feel is going to be my best one yet. I am focusing on recovering now to be able to kick off on November 10th in Paris, as soon as I get the green light from my doctors."

Keira Knightley's stalker to remain in psychiatric treatment

The man convicted of stalking Keira Knightley has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and ordered to continue undergoing treatment "for the foreseeable future," according to the New York Post. Citing a report from the Mirror UK, the tab revealed Mark Revill's indefinite restraining order will continue as he has been accused of emailing nude photos of an underage girl and making threatening statements on Twitter. Among them was a warning he planned to "cut … down" the actress' husband. Prior to his treatment stint, the 50-year-old had painted an arrow outside Keira's door, sent her cat-themed music and a letter and made meowing sounds through her mail slot. In a tweet, he reportedly called himself a "public executioner."

Jimmy Kimmel's son's surgery has been postponed

After taking a week off, Jimmy Kimmel was back on the air on Monday, Nov. 6, sharing an update about 6-month-old son's health. "Officially, I was off because my son Billy was supposed to have his next heart surgery," Jimmy explained (via Us Weekly). As he told his audience in May, Billy was born with a heart problem. Doctors were able to save him with the first of what will be multiple surgeries, but the experience has taken an understandably emotional toll on Jimmy and his wife, Molly McNearney, and the late-night host hasn't shied away from discussing the situation on the show. Jimmy went on to say the second surgery did not happen as planned because everyone in the family had colds. "But the truth is, I was waiting in line for the new iPhone all week," he cracked. "Anyway, my son is doing fine. I want to thank everyone who filled in for me. Shaquille O'Neal, who I would like to thank twice — because he's enormous," he continued, referencing the celebs who sat in for him last week while he was away. "It was good to have some time at home with the kids. But there is such a thing as too much time at home with the kids. And last night at abut 6 o'clock, I reached that time limit," he joked.

Adam Levine announces his baby-to-be's gender

In a couple of months, Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo expect to welcome their second child. And as he told Ellen DeGeneres in the Tuesday, Nov. 7, edition of "Ellen," it's another girl for the couple, whose first child, Dusty Rose, was born in September of last year. Asked how Behati is doing (via E! News), Adam said his wife is "just like a champion of the world … she's killing it." He added, "You wouldn't know she's almost seven months pregnant." Adam also teased Ellen about the fact that she picked out their first daughter's name. "Like it or not, you're going to be involved with this next one, too," he said. "It'll be a collaborative effort. We're already working on it." If Adam and Behati beat Ellen to a name for their next little one, the talk show host might still have more chances to name the couple's kids. "I want a lot [of kids]," he said. I thrive in chaos. I really genuinely enjoy it." As for Behati, Adam said she grew up as only child, which makes her want an even bigger family than Adam. "She wants like 100 babies," he joked, "but I don't know if I could do that."
