Tiffany Haddish finds another opportunity to wear that Alexander McQueen dress
It's ba-aack … We haven't seen Tiffany Haddish's now famous white Alexander McQueen gown in a minute, but if the world can count on one thing, it's Tiff's obsession with her $4,000 dress. And in a preview for the new edition of "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman," Tiffany, one of this season's guests, does not let fans of the high-slit, sleeveless number down. According to People, the show marks the fifth time Tiffany's worn the piece since she debuted it at the premiere for "Girls Trip" in 2017. The dress, which Tiffany bought herself, made subsequent appearances when the comic hosted "Saturday Night Live" that November, at the 2018 Academy Awards and when she hosted the 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards. When she wore it on "SNL," she defended the move by saying, I feel "like I should be able to wear what I want, when I want, no matter how many times I want, as long as I Febreezed it." Truth. She also noted that it "cost way more than my mortgage." In the "My Next Guest …" trailer, Tiffany can be seen talking about the challenges she faced on her road to success, recalling, "Going to so many auditions and being told, 'you're too black, too light, or you're too ghetto, you're not ghetto enough.' I've been rejected all my life." Other guests this season include Kanye West, Ellen DeGeneres, Melinda Gates and Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.

Demi Lovato honors her great-grandmother with a new tattoo
Demi Lovato lost her great-grandmother in May 2016. At the time, she shared with her Instagram followers, "we were so close that I never knew it was possible that anyone could have the bond that we shared even 70 years a part." Three years after Demi's loss, she made that bond a little stronger — with a new tattoo portrait by tattoo artist Dr. Woo. "This is for you Mimaw," she captioned a shot of the new ink this week. "You at 26 on my arm while I'm 26, and forever. I love you more. ❤️ Thank you @_dr_woo_ for making her come back to life for me.. it's stunning and the most meaningful tattoo I have ever gotten. 🙏🏼🙌🏼." Demi's other body art includes a lion on her hand, a dreamcatcher on her side and the words "stay strong" on her wrists.

Minka Kelly shares abortion story, calls out all-white, all-male Alabama legislators on abortion bill vote
Like Milla Jovovich and Jameela Jamil, who have both shared their personal experiences with abortions amid a wave of anti-abortion bills in the U.S., Minka Kelly revealed on Instagram this week that the abortion she once had was "the smartest decision" she could have made for herself, her then-boyfriend and the fetus. Sharing a photo of the legislators who voted "yes" on the Alabama law that bans abortions in the state in almost every case including cases of rape and incest — all of whom are white and male — she told her story. "When I was younger I had an abortion. It was the smartest decision I could've made, not only for myself and my boyfriend at the time, but also for this unborn fetus," she wrote. "For a baby to've been born to two people — too young and completely ill equipped — with no means or help from family, would have resulted in a child born into an unnecessary world of struggle. Having a baby at that time would have only perpetuated the cycle of poverty, chaos and dysfunction I was born into. … For those of you insisting abortion is murder, and to Rep. Terri Collins who said 'an unborn baby is a person who deserves love and attention' — forget bringing up the mother might be in need of some 'love and attention,'" she wrote. "What do you think happens to these kids who end up bouncing around in foster care, live on government assistance because the mother has no help, can't afford childcare while she works a minimum wage job and is trapped in a cycle of trying to survive on the meager government assistance so many of you same pro-lifers are determined to also take away." Before signing off she asked why those who seem determined to deny women abortions also "refuse to talk about comprehensive sex-ed, the maternal mortality rate, free daycare, paid maternity leave" and asserted, "Our lives, traumas and family planning is for no one to decide but us. Certainly not a group of old white men." Finally, she asked "where all the punishment is for the men in this scenario," given "all the punishment for women," and said she suspects "if it were the autonomy of a man's body, health and life in question," the conversation wouldn't even be happening. "Lest we forget," she added, "outlawing abortion has never stopped women from attempting it."

Convicted felon Abby Lee Miller has some advice for Lori Loughlin, Felicity Huffman
As Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman wait to hear what's next for them in the college admissions scandal, another celeb who was involved in a fraud case wants to share some tips … about prison. In the wake of her own time spent behind bars for bankruptcy fraud, "Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller tells Us Weekly, "I have a lot of advice for them and I would love to talk to them face-to-face." For starters, she suggests, "They shouldn't hire one of those [prison] consultants. My attorneys in Pittsburgh hired one and Lifetime hired another one. Both were completely wrong on everything." Abby also said she ended up building friendships with some of the "lovely and wonderful" women she met in prison between May 2017 and March 2018, telling the mag, "[They were] some of the most intelligent, intuitive, wonderful people that I'll ever meet." Felicity's plea deal will result in prosecutors recommending she serve four months behind bars and pay a $20,000 fine, according to Us. Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, meanwhile, pleaded not guilty to two counts fraud and money laundering charges. Each of those charges has a maximum sentence of 20 years behind bars. In April, Lori was said to be "panicking" about the prospect of jail time.
Sia surprises 'Survivor Contestant' with $100k
Dave Letterman's not the only star in a giving mood this week. On the reunion show that followed the season finale of "Survivor: Edge of Extinction," on Wednesday, May 15, singer and avowed "Survivor" superfan Sia started handing out piles of cash like she was the next Oprah. First, she gave her favorite contestant from the season, Rick Devens, $100,000. Rick told Entertainment Weekly he was still reeling from her generosity, which has become known as the "Sia Award." "I was absolutely floored when it happened and I am still riding high from it. Sia single-handedly took what was a very depressing night, watching my demise, and turned it around. My wife broke down in the front of the audience. She was going nuts," he said, according to People. He also got to meet Sia. "She just made me feel like the greatest guy in the world. And, really, it was so great to meet her. And the fact that, I mean, $100,000, for my family, that is a lot, and it is going to do a lot of things for my kids' future, so I couldn't be more grateful to Sia," he gushed. The singer also threw some money at contestant Joe Anglim, after tweeting at him, "Hey @janglim21 if you cut your hair off and donate it to a children's cancer wig making charity I'll give you 15k." He responded by chopping off his long hair on a live Instagram Story post (he also asked that the $15k go to charity). Finally, Sia tweeted at contestant Aurora McCreary, who previously revealed she grew up in a foster home, that she had another lump sum of $15k for her "just for making it through foster care. Added Sia: "I love you, keep going!"
Busy Philipps gets weepy over David Letterman's support for her show
Dave Letterman is embracing his inner Santa once again — and Busy Philipps is reaping the benefits. During the second to last edition of "Busy Tonight" this week, Busy's director chimed in over the PA to let her know Busy had gotten a message the director wanted to share with her. That's when Dave popped up on the screen and, keeping true to the Papa Noel connotations of that crazy beard of his, the former late-night host proceeded to empathize with Busy over E!'s decision to cancel her show. "I love your show. You do a great job; it's a great show," Dave said in the clip, posted on Youtube. "People tell me that you're leaving E! and I say, 'Eh, too bad for E!' That's what I say. You'll end up someplace else and continue doing a great job for somebody else, and then E! can just, you know, suck it." As Busy looked ready to weep with emotion, Dave added that he'd love to be a guest on her show once it finds a new home. After the clip aired, Busy admitted she loves Dave — and that her showrunner, Cassie St. Onge, got her start in late night TV working on "Late Night with David Letterman."
Meg Ryan cozies up to fiance John Mellencamp in NYC
With John Mellencamp's 39-date theater tour in the can and Meg Ryan back home in New York City after a trip to Paris, the couple stepped out for a stroll in their New York City neighborhood of Tribeca on Wednesday, May 15. John and Meg, who've been dating on and off since 2011, finally decided last fall to make it work for the long term and got engaged, with Meg announcing the news on Instagram in November. The engagement came as somewhat of a surprise given John's comments to Howard Stern back in 2017 about a trend in which he's been unable to stay pals with his exes. He and Meg had split again at the time and the singer sounded nostalgic when he told the radio show host, "I loved Meg Ryan. She hates me to death," explaining that women tend to get fed up with a few of his unsavory habits. ("I think it's because I'm a child," he said at the time. "I throw fits, I gripe, I complain. I'm moody. Every bad thing that a fella can be, that's me.") As for Meg, he said she didn't "want anything to do with me … and I can't blame her." He then called her "fantastic."
Was Madonna barred from her rehearsal venue in Israel?
After announcing she would not cave to political demands regarding her upcoming Eurovision Song Contest performance in Israel, Madonna is rumored to have been blocked from entering the venue for a rehearsal on Thursday, May 16. Page Six reports a local news outlet claimed Eurovision executive supervisor Jon Ola Sand declared the singer should not be allowed inside because of a problem with unsigned paperwork. But another local outlet claimed the European Broadcasting Union took issue with Madonna's plan to perform "Like a Prayer," which caused controversy around its seemingly anti-Christian imagery when it premiered back in 1989. According to the local TV station, Madonna and the union worked things out and she was eventually allowed inside the venue, although a source denied there had ever been a problem. Ahead of her trip, which pro-Palestinian activists urged her not to take, Madonna announced in a statement: "I'll never stop playing music to suit someone's political agenda nor will I stop speaking out against violations of human rights wherever in the world they may be." Her 14th album, "Madame X," is due out next month.
Selena Gomez hid Easter egg references to her life in her new Puma line
When Selena Gomez designed her second collection with Puma, which launched on Wednesday, May 15, she embedded all the pieces with hidden messages that relate back to her. "I've put everything from some of my tattoos, my birthdate, the coordinates of my hometown — even working with lupus and having an artist create a box for a shoe that I release where some of the proceeds are able to go to that," she recently told Glamour. Page Six reports that in addition to the coordinates for Grand Prairie, Texas, Los Angeles, New York and the German city where Puma's headquarters are located, Selena's Easter eggs include semicolons a la the ink she got to mark her work on "13 Reasons Why." The semicolon reportedly represents a decision to move forward rather than end things. "Every single thing that I do in my career and my life, I just feel so grateful," she said. "So most of the time, I try to put a little piece of me in [it]."
Gabrielle Union opens up about how she chose her surrogate
New mom Gabrielle Union's mission to open up the conversation around fertility options continues. In a new interview with Shondaland.com, the actress discussed what made her feel she and Dwayne Wade had made the right choice in choosing their gestational carrier for their daughter, Kaavia. A big part of that was that the woman said she went to "four libraries" looking for Gabrielle's memoir — but it wasn't her interest in Gabrielle as much as her interest in reading that grabbed the star. "Here's this woman who also frequents her local library. In that first meeting, we talked about the books we love, the stacks of books we want to get through. Little Fires Everywhere, so many more. That, for me, was the sign," she says. She also says the woman didn't realize who Gabrielle and Dwayne were before they all sat down for an interview. "[At first], she didn't know that it was us, although I knew all about her. So when we met, she walked in and was like, 'Oh!'" Gabrielle recalls. In choosing who they'd go with, she says "race wasn't issue." Experience was, though: "For us, we wanted: She has her own kids, a husband, she's done this before, she knew what she was doing. There was no need for us to micromanage."
