Eugene Levy had to look no further than his offspring for his latest hit! He teamed up with son Dan Levy to create the hit Pop TV show "Schitt's Creek." The comedy, which debuted back in 2015, has become a smash hit in its native Canada and is currently shooting its sixth and final season.

In the romantic dramedy "The Year of Spectacular Men," Lea Thompson portrays the mother of two young women played by her real kids: actresses Maddie Deutch, who wrote the script, and Zoey Deutch, who produced the film. But that's not the first time Lea shared the screen with her kids — the trio also shared the screen in 2011's "Mayor Cupcake."
Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus played father and daughter on the small screen on the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" from 2006 to 2011. They also co-starred in the 2009 feature film "Hannah Montana: The Movie."

Not to be outdone, the women of the Smith family have also worked together. Jada Pinkett Smith and daughter Willow Smith both voiced roles in the 2008 cartoon "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa." (Willow voiced the younger version of mom Jada's character, hippo Gloria.)
Angelina Jolie made her big-screen debut at age 6 starring alongside father Jon Voight in the 1982 film "Lookin' to Get Out." They would later share the screen in the 2001 blockbuster "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider," in which the Oscar-winning actress portrayed the title character and the "Mission: Impossible" alum played Lord Richard Croft, her dad.
Ushering in the third generation of movie stars in the family, Angelina Jolie worked alongside daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt in 2014's "Maleficent." Vivienne played the younger version of Elle Fanning's Princess Aurora and made quite the impression on her mom, who told reporters covering the Disney film, "I was actually shocked that she was doing so well."

Two years later, they both appeared in another film directed by the screen legend, "Gran Torino." Scott portrayed Trey, a teen who goes on a date with Sue, in the drama. They shared screen time again in 2012's "Trouble With the Curve" (pictured).
Martin Sheen has acted alongside his sons on several occasions. In "Wall Street," he portrayed Carl Fox, the father of son Charlie Sheen's character, Bud Fox. In 2010's "The Way," he played the father of real-life son Emilio Estevez's on-screen alter ego. (Emilio also wrote and directed the indie film.) Martin has also appeared in movies with his other two lesser-known actor offspring, son Ramon Estevez and daughter Renée Estevez.
Susan Sarandon and real-life daughter Eva Amurri Martino appeared together in the 2002 film "The Banger Sisters." In the flick, Eva played the daughter of Susan's character. But it wasn't the first time the duo teamed up on film. In 1995's "Dead Man Walking," Eva played a younger version of her mom's character, Helen Prejean.
It's always a family affair for the Apatow-Mann clan! Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow have starred alongside mom Leslie Mann in several films directed by their dad, Judd Apatow, It started when they were just little kiddos — including "Knocked Up" back in 2007 and later in films like "Funny People" and "This Is 40."
Tom Hanks and son Colin Hanks appeared together in the 2008 film "The Great Buck Howard." In the flick, Colin plays Tom's character's son, who disappoints his dad when he leaves law school to become a writer.
Sylvester Stallone enlisted his son, Sage Stallone, to portray the child of his most iconic character, the titular boxer, in "Rocky V." Sage also had a role in the 1996 film "Daylight," in which his old man starred.
Three generations of Douglas men starred in the 2003 dramedy "It Runs in the Family." Michael Douglas played lawyer Alex Gromberg. His real father, screen legend Kirk Douglas, portrayed Alex's father, Mitchell, and his real son, Cameron Douglas, played Alex's offspring, college kid Asher. Michael also had a small, uncredited role in another film in which his father starred: 1966's "Cast a Giant Shadow."
Tatum O'Neal made her acting debut in 1973's "PaperMoon" in which her father, Ryan O'Neal, portrayed her character's quasi-guardian. The child star won an Oscar for her work in the film, and she and her old man teamed up on the big screen twice again: in 1976's "Nickelodeon" and in 1980's "Circle of Two," in which Tatum starred and Ryan had a small uncredited role.
The role of title character's mother was perfectly cast in the 2003 film "Sylvia," which is based on the life of Sylvia Plath. Gwyneth Paltrow starred as the poet-novelist and her real-life mom, Blythe Danner, portrayed Sylvia's mother, Aurelia Plath. The duo also shared the screen in the 1992 TV movie "Cruel Doubt."
Jerry Stiller played the titular male model's manager in 2001's "Zoolander." His real-life son, Ben Stiller, played the title character, of course! The father-son duo also co-starred in the films "Heavyweights," "Hot Pursuit" and "The Heartbreak Kid."

(A decade later, Melanie's daughters, Dakota Johnson and Stella Banderas, made their acting debuts in a film in which their mother starred, 1999's "Crazy in Alabama.")
Melissa McCarthy and her husband, actor-director Ben Falcone, often collaborate on film projects. Their daughters, Vivian and Georgette, joined the family business with 2016's "The Boss," which Ben directed and in which Melissa starred. (The funnywoman joked to Wonderwall.com that their kiddos manipulated them into casting them in the comedy, in which they both had small roles.)

Meanwhile, Domhnall's little brother, lesser known actor Brian Gleeson (center), played the younger version of their father's character in the 2016 action flick "Assassin's Creed" and portrayed the son of Brendan's character in "The Tiger's Tail."
