Believe it or not, it's been 25 years since "ER" first appeared on our TV screens. In celebration of the anniversary of the NBC medical drama's debut back on Sept. 19, 1994, Wonderwall.com is checking up on the cast. Keep reading to find out what the stars of "ER" are up to today!
George Clooney starred as Dr. Doug Ross on "ER" from 1994 to 1999.
Today, George Clooney is an A-list international movie star and producer. He's won three Golden Globes and two Academy Awards (one for producing "Argo") and has appeared in several beloved movies since his "ER" days including "O Brother, Where Art Thou?," "Good Night and Good Luck," "Syriana," the "Ocean's Eleven" trilogy, "Michael Clayton," "The Descendents" and "Up in the Air." He returning to television in 2019 with a role on the Hulu miniseries "Catch-22." The longtime divorced bachelor, who dated a bevy of beauties post-"ER" (including British model Lisa Snowdon, actress Krista Allen, cocktail waitress Sarah Larson, Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis and former professional wrestler Stacy Keibler) found lasting love in 2013 when he met British human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin. The couple wed in September 2014 and welcomed twins Ella and Alexander in June 2017.

Laura Innes starred as Dr. Kerry Weaver on "ER" from 1994 to 2007.
Laura Innes has continued to find TV success since her "ER" days. In 2010, she landed the role of Sophia on NBC's "The Event" and played police captain Tricia Harper on NBC's "Awake" in 2012. She more recently guest starred on "How to Get Away with Murder" in 2018. Laura shares two children, Mia and Cal, with her longtime husband, David Brisbin.
Eriq La Salle starred as Dr. Peter Benton on "ER" from 1994 to 2002.
Eriq La Salle has continued to find success in Hollywood both in front of and behind the camera. He's appeared in several shows and movies including "24," "Covert Affairs," "How to Make it in America" and "Logan" and directed episodes of "Chicago PD," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "CSI: NY." A longtime bachelor, Eriq published his first novel, "Laws of Depravity," in 2012.
Julianna Margulies starred as head nurse Carol Hathaway on "ER" from 1994 to 2000.
Julianna Margulies has truly come into her own on television, earning critical acclaim for her starring turn as Alicia Florrick on CBS's "The Good Wife" from 2009 to 2016. She won two Emmys and a Golden Globe for her performance on the legal drama. Julianna more recently starred on the AMC dark comedy series "Dietland" in 2018 and on National Geographic's "The Hot Zone" miniseries in 2019. She married attorney Keith Lieberthal in 2007 and gave birth to a son the following year.
Noah Wyle starred as Dr. John Carter on "ER" from 1995 to 2005, and again in 2008.
Noah Wyle has continued to rack up the TV credits since "ER" wrapped. He starred on TNT's "Falling Skies" and in the "The Librarian" franchise. He most recently starred on CBS's "The Red Line." Noah welcomed two children, son Owen and daughter Auden, with his first wife, Tracy Warbin, before the couple divorced in 2010. He married Sara Wells in 2014 and welcomed his second daughter, Frances, a year later.
Sherry Stringfield starred as Dr. Susan Lewis on "ER" from 1994 to 1996, and again from 2001 to 2005.
Sherry Stringfield has continued to appear on television in several guest-starring and recurring roles. The actress has appeared in "Shark," "Tell Me You Love Me," "In Plain Sight," "Law & Order," "Under the Dome" and "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" (seen here). Sherry welcomed two children, daughter Phoebe and son Milo, with journalist Larry E. Joseph before the couple divorced in 2006.
Anthony Edwards starred as Dr. Mark Greene on "ER" from 1994 to 2002.
Anthony Edwards is still a working actor in Hollywood. He's appeared in "Zodiac," "Planes," "Girls" and "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders." He most recently starred as Mars Harper on Season 3 of "Designated Survivor" on Netflix. Anthony shares four children, one son and three daughters, with former wife Jeanine Lobell. The couple divorced in 2015 after 21 years of marriage.
Ming-Na Wen starred as Dr. Jing-Mei "Deb" Chen on "ER" in 1995 and from 2000 to 2004.
Today, Ming-Na Wen is best known these days for her ongoing role as Melinda May on ABC's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," which will end with Season 7 in 2020. She's also built a reputation for her voice performances in various movies, shows and video games including "Mulan," "Mulan II," "Kingdom Hearts II," "Sofia the First" and "Ralph Breaks the Internet." She shares two children — daughter Michaela and son Cooper — with her husband of more than two decades, Eric Michael Zee.
Goran Visnjic starred as Dr. Luka Kovač on "ER" from 1999 to 2009.
Goran Visnjic has starred in numerous shows and movies since "ER" wrapped. The Croatian actor has appeared in "New York, I Love You," "The Deep," "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and "Extant." He most recently starred as former NSA asset Garcia Flynn on NBC's "Timeless" and as Poplovic on Netflix's "Santa Clarita Diet." Goran shares three children with his wife of two decades, Eva Vrdoljak. He also has a daughter from a 2006 extramarital affair.
Maura Tierney starred as Dr. Abby Lockhart on "ER" from 1999 to 2009.
Today, Maura Tierney is even more successful than she was during her "ER" days. The actress had a recurring role on "The Good Wife" in 2012 and 2013 and won a Golden Globe for her work as Helen Solloway on Showtime's "The Affair" in 2016. She more recently starred in the critically acclaimed 2018 film "Beautiful Boy" and in 2019's "The Report." In 2006, Maura divorced husband Billy Morrissette, whom she married in 1993.
Parminder Nagra starred as Dr. Neela Rasgotra on "ER" from 2003 to 2009.
English actress Parminder Nagra has continued to expand her resume in television and film since "ER" wrapped. The "Bend it Like Beckham" alum starred as Meera Malik on NBC's "The Blacklist" from 2013 to 2014 and had a recurring role on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." in 2016. She more recently starred in Netflix's hit 2018 film "Bird Box" and 2019's "Five Feet Apart." Parminder married photographer James Stenson in January 2009 and welcomed a son, Kai, four months later. The couple called it quits in 2013.
Mekhi Phifer starred as Dr. Greg Pratt on "ER" from 2002 to 2008.
Today, Mekhi Phifer is still a celebrated actor in Hollywood. Post-"ER," he's starred as Ben Reynolds on FOX's "Lie To Me," as CIA agent Rex Matheson on "Torchwood: Miracle Day" and as Max in the "Divergent" movie series. He more recently appeared in 2018's "The Bobby Brown Story" and on "Chicago P.D." Mekhi shares one son with actress Malinda Williams and a second son with former girlfriend Oni Souratha. He married longtime girlfriend Reshelet Barnes in 2013.
John Stamos starred as intern Tony Gates on "ER" from 2005 to 2009.
John Stamos's star power has only grown since "ER" went off the air. The actor has starred on FOX's "Grandfathered," Netflix's hit thriller "You" and in "Bye Bye Birdie" on Broadway. He also reprised his old "Full House" character, Jesse Katsopolis, on Netflix's "Fuller House" reboot, which he also executive produces. After years of single life following his 2005 divorce from Rebecca Romijn, John settled down in 2018. He married actress Caitlin McHugh that February and welcomed his first child, son Billy, that April.
Angela Bassett starred as Dr. Cate Banfield on "ER" from 2008 to 2009.
Angela Bassett is still one of Hollywood's most talented (and ageless) actresses. After "ER," she appeared on "American Horror Story" (and earned two Emmys nods for her work) as well as in "Black Panther," "Notorious," "Betty & Coretta," "Mission: Impossible – Fallout" and "Olympus Has Fallen." She currently stars as LAPD patrol sergeant Athena Grant on FOX's "9-1-1," which she also executive produces. Angela shares twins — son Slater and daughter Bronwyn — with her husband of more than two decades, actor Courtney B. Vance.
Shane West starred as Dr. Ray Barnett on "ER" from 2004 to 2009.
After "ER," Shane West starred in several shows and movies including "What We Do Is Secret," "Nikita," "Salem" and "Gotham." He's also released two albums with his band, Twilight Creeps. Shane was most recently romantically linked to Jesica Ahlberg in 2014 and previously dated Jenna Dewan, Evan Rachel Wood and Alicia Zacharkiewicz.
Linda Cardellini starred as nurse Samantha Taggart on "ER" from 2003 to 2009.
Linda Cardellini's career has thrived since "ER" wrapped. She played Meg Rayburn on "Bloodline," Hawkeye's wife in the "Avengers" franchise and Sylvia Rosen on "Mad Men," a performance that earned her an Emmy nomination. She more recently appeared in the Academy Award-winning 2018 film "Green Book." Linda welcomed a daughter with Steven Rodriguez in 2012. The couple got engaged a year later.
